A Custom-Built ‘Star Wars’ Millennium Falcon Six-String Electric Guitar and Four-String Bass Guitar
Doni’s Custom Guitars has custom built two fully working Star Wars guitars that look like the iconic Millennium Falcon spacecraft. The Han Solo Guitar combines a standard six-string electric guitar with an original Millennium Falcon model. Doni’s appropriately titled Rebel Bass Guitar merges a four-string bass guitar with a Millennium Falcon model. Both guitars are available to purchase online at the their Etsy store.
The original Millennium Falcon bodies are always in good condition, some even perfect – it varies considering they’re from anywhere between 1979 and 2004. Some also never had any lights included and so plenty of blue LEDs are expertly installed by myself and are run from a handily concealed battery pack that is easy to get to.
A custom built flight case can be added to the order to not only give it a perfect home, but to also safeguard it during shipping.

VinePair (previously) has created “The 20 Most Popular Beers in America,” a colorful infographic that plots the United States’ “favorite” beers in order of popularity, as determined by annual sales.
Big Beer is a big business in America. Total annual sales stand around $100 billion. Craft Beers, as defined by the Brewer’s Association, are booming, yet still only account for around 15% of the beer sold in America. On a volume basis, craft beer’s share of the market is about half of that, due to its premium pricing. So what’s America drinking? A whole lot of light beer, most of which is made by a handful of monstrous macro brewers. America’s most popular beer is Bud Light – by a couple billion dollars. Yes, Bud Light’s U.S. sales alone would lodge it firmly within the Fortune 500.

Mrdesplainesi don't think robots will kill us off but i do believe things like this will be playing for years after we are all gone..
Ro-Bow, the latest kinetic sculpture by retired engineer and artist Seth Goldstein (previously), plays songs on a violin by moving the bow and rotating the instrument based on MIDI music files created by an electronic keyboard.
The horizontally orientated violin is rotated underneath a reciprocating violin bow while four mechanical fingers are moved to make contact, as appropriate, with the (highest) bowed string. Vibrato, pizzicato, legato, note loudness modulation, and some other bowing effects are provided.

The images were shot from a light aircraft flying at between 4,000 & 5,000ft. The height was crucial in order to flatten perspective by using long focal lengths. Time of day and cloud cover were also critical, the abstract effect being heightened by complete lack of signifying shadow. © Simon Butterworth, United Kingdom, Shortlist, Landscape, Professional Competition, 2015 Sony World Photography Award

West Bengal, India. October 21, 2013. Blind girls Sonia, 12, and Anita Singh, 5, are born into poverty with congenital cataract blindness. They must accompany their parents everywhere as they cannot be left alone without risk. The surgery to cure this is simple and takes 15 minutes but because of the level of poverty in this family they have been unable to pursue the necessary operation. India has more than 12 million blind, the majority of which suffer from cataract blindness. Poverty is the main reason these millions of people are trapped in this condition. Donor funding has recently enabled both sisters to finally go for this operation. This essay is an attempt to tell the story of their lives before surgery, during the operation to regain their sight and after as they begin to discover light. © Brent Stirton, South Africa, Shortlist, Contemporary Issues, Professional, 2015 Sony World Photography Awards
