Air New Zealand made a Lord of the Rings movie for an epic safety video

Air New Zealand loves to make fun in-flight safety videos that can include anything from body paint to supermodels to Richard Simmons to Betty White. This time though, they've gone beyond epic: the safety video is basically a full on LOTR and Hobbit movie set in Middle Earth. It's impressive.

Benedict Cumberbatch Finally Explains Why He Can't Say "Penguins"

Benedict Cumberbatch is a very charming and self-deprecating individual - and his time on The Graham Norton Show is mostly just him talking about his fandom, gabbing a bit about Sherlock and Star Wars and The Hobbit, and generally being a charming guy. But then Graham Norton asks the question that was on everyone's mind: WHY CAN'T YOU SAY "PENGUIN"?
For those of you unfamiliar, watch this:
Skip to 3:28 to watch Norton finally confront the issue with Mr. Cumberbatch, and to hear him finally explain why he kept saying "penglings."
Or, if you're not interested in that and just wanna know if he's figured it out yet, skip to 5:42 if you want to see Benedict attempt to say "penguin" LIVE on the show.
Of course, this is all made weirder and better by the sheer fact that Benedict Cumberbatch is lending his soothing voice to the upcoming Madagascar spin-off...Penguins.

[So, here goes. How did the cowboy ride into town on Friday, stay for three days, and ride out on Friday?]

[His horse's NAME was Friday! Nyuk nyuk nyuk! Honestly. Thanks for the applause. Seriously. And don't forget to tip your waitress. We're here all week.]

“For the past two years my husband and I have gone horse-trekking in Iceland. It’s great fun riding around the beautiful and spectacular scenery and, as you can see, the horses (technically OMGPonies, but Icelanders never refer to them that way) are simply adorable.” -Ruth G.

Extreme Winds Cause a Waterfall in England to Blow Upward

Hikers exploring England’s Derbyshire Peak District earlier this week stumbled onto a rare phenomenon caused by extreme winds. The River Downfall, a 30-meter (98 foot) waterfall was blown back almost vertically by a powerful updraft, making it seem as if the waterfall was simply flowing into nothing. Very cool. 10-Week Old Dachshund Puppy Quickly Figures Out That She’ll Get a Treat If She Rings a Bell
A clever 10-week old dachshund puppy named Maddie very quickly figures out that her human Kirk Miller will give her a treat every time she rings the service bell that’s been put in front of her. It’s a good thing that Maddie picked up on using the bell so quickly, as this will be the way she’ll tell Kirk that she needs to go outside.
This is my 10 Wk old dachshund learning to ring a bell to tell me when it’s time to go outside. This is just step one… We have a way to go. She thinks it’s all about food.
