I can't believe this Hubble's star explosion time-lapse video is real
I never imagined I was going to see something like this: A video of a star bursting in space, illuminating the interstellar dust around it at the speed of light. This is not a computer simulation. It's an actual time-lapse video taken over four years by the Hubble—and scientists don't know its origin yet.

Geniales maceteros Lego

Movie Review: Crooks face a coven in Álex De La Iglesia’s typically daft Witching & Bitching
Witching & Bitching opens with a heist sequence that could only come from the imagination of Álex De La Iglesia: a pawn shop stick-up on Madrid’s tourist-packed Puerta De Sol, carried out by a gang of costumed impersonators and masterminded by a silver-painted Jesus—who has brought along his 8-year-old son in order to get some bonding time. The robbery goes south; Minnie Mouse gets cornered by police, SpongeBob SquarePants is gunned down on the sidewalk, and the argentine savior is forced to hightail it out of Madrid in a taxi, bringing along his son, a green army man, and two hostages. Pursued by two clueless cops and the Jesus’ ex-wife, the unlikely fivesome—four in the cab, one in the trunk—end up in the sticks, where they stumble upon a coven of man-eating Basque witches.
De La Iglesia specializes in the kind of nutty narrative zigzags typified by ...

Good Badlands: Dry Terrain of the American West Captured in a Brief Moment of Color by Guy Tal
The Badlands are a type of parched, sunbaked terrain characterized by jagged rock, cracked earth and, of course, minimal vegetation. It’s a harsh environment of lifeless wasteland but there is also good news to be found in the badlands. For the patient observer, like photographer Guy Tal, there is a delicate beauty that reveals itself only so often. “On rare years,” says Tal, describing his series of photos taken in the American West, “wildflowers burst into stunning display of color, transforming the desert into a veritable garden for just few precious days.” The reason, apparently, is that vegetation in the region has adapted to the climate. With just a tiny bit of moisture the desert can transform into a colorful garden of bright purple and yellow. You can see more photos on Tal’s website, or purchase his book More Than a Rock. Update: According to @happyhillers these are Scorpionweed and Beeplant flowers.
