A quick solution to this problem I see? Voice recognition. In fact, it'll be necessary as these devices and services proliferate. Some other things: 1. Until then I wonder if it'll ever be considered illegal to pull such a stunt? 2. Massive live sporting events like the Superbowl or the World Cup would probably be the broadest way to make this happen. 3. I tested Siri's sensitivity to 'Hey Siri', and ran Speech on the text string 'Hey Siri' on my computer and was able to trigger Siri. Also, as always, comments welcome on Facebook.

A video of an anonymous woman riding around a city on a motorbike throwing litter dropped by motorists back into their cars has gone viral.

The accompanying text is in Russian, so presumably the city she's riding around in is located in Russia.

The woman – who is only heard, not seen – captures the litterers in action on her headcam. Her video helpfully circles the moment the litter drops.

The anonymous vigilante then rides up to confront the litterers, who are very disgruntled.

concertina226 writes Harvard scientists have invented a new artificial spleen that is able to clear toxins, fungi and deadly pathogens such as Ebola from human blood, which could potentially save millions of lives. When antibiotics are used to kill them, dying viruses release toxins in the blood that begin to multiply quickly, causing sepsis, a life-threatening condition whereby the immune system overreacts, causing blood clotting, organ damage and inflammation. To overcome this, researchers have invented a "biospleen", a device similar to a dialysis machine that makes use of magnetic nanobeads measuring 128 nanometres in diameter (one-five hundredths the width of a single human hair) coated with mannose-binding lectin (MBL), a type of genetically engineered human blood protein.
