I mostly want them to shut up and quit But part of me is kinda happy seeing Ryan and McConnell's dreams slowly dying.
You will never accomplish everything you want. It’s a hard truth to deal with, but if you don’t, you’ll waste your life on unrealistic, unnecessary projects: renovating your entire home, writing a novel, repealing and replacing Obamacare. Sometimes it’s time to give up, like Mitch McConnell did last night after two…
Katie Newhouser is a UPS driver who has developed a friendship with Leo, her client’s pit bull from Rancho Cucamonga, California. The woman, however, had no idea that one day she would be looking after this sweet doggie.

“Whenever I’d turn up at the complex, he’d apparently go crazy, and he’d want to come down and see me,” Newhouser told The Dodo. “He just took a liking to me for some reason. He’d always come up and lick me.”
Leo would also jump into her truck. “He would sit there and sniff around,” Newhouser said. “When I had to leave, he didn’t want to get out.”
The UPS driver even got to meet the doggie’s human, a woman named Tina. This continued for a year, until one day, when Newhouser came back from her holiday and went to their complex. She couldn’t find Tina around, and that’s when she learned that the woman had passed away.
“I knew he had nowhere to go, and I didn’t want him to end up in a shelter, and with somebody who was not going to be good for him.”
Now the doggie lives with Newhouser, who is showering him with love and support through this sensitive time of grieving. Bless the doggie’s heart.

Posting this as proof of my theory that, while deer are hella cute, they have NO GODDAMN BRAINS. At. All.
Meet Storm, the doggie who didn’t hesitate a second when he saw an unidentified animal drowning in the water and came to the rescue. As the dog approached the helpless creature, it turned out to be an injured baby deer.
The whole incident happened when Storm’s owner, Mike Freeley, was taking a walk with his canines. As soon as Storm got into action, his human started filming the whole scene. We see the dog gently dragging the deer in his mouth, just how he would do with a puppy.
Even on the shore, the pooch stayed by her side and licked her to keep the poor thing safe and warm. The dog and his owner were there until the representatives from Strong Island Animal Rescue arrived.
The rescuers from the shelter also had trouble with the disoriented deer when she jumped into the water and started drowning again. This time, a volunteer named Frankie Floridia went to save her.
Most importantly, the baby deer is being treated and is expected to make a full recovery, all thanks to the rescuers, and one very brave dog.

For 54 years, every single one of Doctor Who’s 12 time-traveling leads has been a man. But with the announcement that actress Jodie Whittaker will take the helm as the 13th doctor, men are being a bunch of piss-slurping ratfucks who are hurling misogynist hate speech at Whittaker and the BBC franchise, with some even…
this is literally no way to treat any animal, and it’s completely avoidable.
.5ppm+ ammonia is inexcusable - this betta was literally burning alive every second he was in that water - and it’s entirely from lack of care. not to mention his fins are literally rotting off and he is completely emaciated - this fish was not being fed.
for example, here is my completely healthy male dumbo eared betta, arwen:
his back has a nice curve outward to it, meaning he is a healthy weight. his stomach has a gentle swell, meaning he was fed recently and an appropriate amount for his size. he doesn’t have fin rot, meaning his fins are not blackening and necrotic - literally rotting away.
for comparison, here is the doubletail male i got today:
both his back and stomach are sunken in - this betta is both emaciated and hasn’t eaten in several days at least. his fins are necrotic and rotting away - he is quite literally decaying while still alive. he is also VERY pale - meaning he is stressed and sick. (NOTE: the healthy betta used as an example isn’t a double tail - which means exactly what it sounds like. he only has one tail while the betta i got today has two)
this is a comparison between the two from above:
it was difficult to take a picture of arwen from above because a healthy betta is very unlikely to sit still when your hands are hovering above them - my betta would be excited and dancing around for food, because they are conditioned to associate my hands above them with eating. in general, a healthy betta isn’t going to sit still for a picture. aside from that, i think it’s very apparent the difference between the two. arwen’s body is all gentle, healthy curves. his head isn’t large in proportion to his body and it doesn’t look weirdly disjointed from the rest of his body.
i’d normally post this to my fish blog, but i think it’s extremely important for people to really SEE this cruelty for what it is and understand just how easy it would be to provide proper care.
i don’t suggest anyone “rescue” a betta from petsmart or any other store- especially walmart. that being said, i just couldn’t leave him, he was belly up and i knew if i didnt take him no one else would - not like it would have mattered because i got him at closing and i know he wouldnt have survived the night had i not taken him. i also saw an opportunity for education - because i have 10k followers on this blog.
this is his new home. a clean, warm environment dosed with aquarium salt and stressguard(a fish antiseptic). i will have to monitor him closely for a while, change out his water daily and dose him with more antiseptic and aquarium salt.
this is the difference in just 5 hours
please, properly care for your animals, and dont support companies that don’t.
I used to raise these guys. To see them kept badly and thoughtlessly is heartbreaking. And to see even one rescued from treatment like that is very, very good.
Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town where were-tigers, vampires, and witches live side by side in their small, dusty town just trying to make a modest living while also fighting the oncoming forces of hell. Now ask yourself: would you wanna live in Midnight?

I’ll do it myself.”
I'm assuming they do this so that you can't just leave them there.

Plenty of cosplayers get their chance to shine in magazines and music videos … as long as they’re white. So, why don’t we see more cosplayers of color in prominent campaigns and photoshoots?
Fair-skinned cosplayers are often featured in “best-of” cosplay roundups, while black cosplayers are routinely overlooked or disregarded because of their skin tone. The craftsmanship of the costume doesn’t even make it into the discussion.
So instead of celebrating the art, black cosplayers are compared to fair-skinned cosplayers donning the same outfit and labeled as the “black version” of the character they dress up as. Read more. (7/15/17, 9:01 AM)
Meet Aragon, a rescue dog who just saved a whole litter of kittens left to die in the mountains of Greece. But his heroism didn’t stop there – once the felines were taken to the shelter, Aragon became the best stepdad they could have dreamt of.

Aragon’s human volunteers for SCARS animal organization. Every day she searches for pets left to die in the mountains. Just within last month, they rescued more than 25 kittens.
“This time, the kittens were lucky,” Aragon’s mom wrote. “We were walking Aragon near the mountain, actually planning to to video on the huge number of animals abandoned there, when Aragon started pulling us towards their direction – basically he was the rescuer, and he has been an excellent foster dad since day one.”
If it wasn’t for the doggie, the kittens would have became the dinner of a hungry fox, the most common predator found in the mountains near Athens.
The kittens are safe and healthy, and ready to be adopted into a loving forever home. As for Aragon… what a good boy he is!
