How to Not Draw Characters From ‘Game of Thrones’
Christopher LantzI love me some absurdity.
“What’s a double D, you ask? A Dope Dragon!”
For his ongoing How To Draw (With Detail) parody series, talented and humorous New York City artist Mickey Dwyer shows us how to not draw characters from HBO’s Game of Thrones with fine detail.

Dramatically Back-Lit Paper Dioramas by Hari & Deepti
Art duo Hari & Deepti (Harikrishnan Panicker and Deepti Nair) create dramatically back-lit cut paper dioramas in LED light boxes. The light boxes allow the duo to create a sense of depth and atmosphere in the dioramas—they look totally different when the light is switched off.
What amazes us about the paper cut light boxes is the dichotomy of the piece in its lit and unlit state, the contrast is so stark that it has this mystical effect on the viewers.

The White House Press Corp in a Nutshell?
Christopher LantzAlso, I'm convinced that as a country, we don't want to like the president. Regardless of politics, the president is kind of the dumping ground for all the countries anxieties.

Glow In the Dark Pop Art Show Featuring Exclusive Mark Englert ‘Bioshock’ Reveal

Another year, another glow in the dark art show at New York City’s Bottleneck Gallery. Last year’s event drew massive crowds, there to admire pop culture art made with glow in the dark inks, and this year should be more of the same.
When The Lights Go Out 2 opens Saturday March 22 and remains on display through April 9. As is the case with most group shows, a huge number of artists tackled a huge variety of properties. What makes this one different is every few minutes, the Bottleneck team turns off the regular lights and turns on a barrage of blacklights to show the treasures hidden in every single piece.
Below, we’ve got a bunch of work from the show including posters for Preacher, Akira, Spirited Away, Big Trouble in Little China, Despicable Me and They Live. Plus, we’re proud to exclusively debut popular artist Mark Englert‘s piece for the video game Bioshock. It’s a stunning work that must be seen to be believed (that’s just a taste above). Check it all out below.
First up, here is Mark Englert’s Bioshock piece called “New Eden”. It’s a 6 color screenprint measuring 20 x 30 inches. The regular is an edition of 200 but a variant, which looks the same except the glow in the dark is different, is an edition of 50. They cost $60 and $75 respectively.
And here’s just a small sampling of other pieces in the show, with the artist name available via mouse over. We’ve included the normal and glow in the dark inks for each piece. There are well over 60 pieces in the show and you can see it all online Sunday March 23. Details below.
When the Lights Go Out 2 opens at 7 p.m. March 22 and will remain open through April 9. It’s located at 60 Broadway, Brooklyn. Find more information at www.bottleneckgallery.com, and that’s also where the show will go on sale online at noon EST on March 23 at that link.

Christopher Walken Dancing in 57 Movies
Christopher LantzHave you seen my triceratops? He's fantaassstic!
Many of us recall Christopher Walken’s legendary one-man dance off in Fatboy Slim’s “Weapon of Choice” music video, but the Hollywood icon has been busting moves on-screen since the early days of his career, as evidently shown in this dance mash-up montage compiled by the Huffington Post.

Supercut of Christopher Walken Dancing in Movies
Christopher Lantz.. Heh... more like.. Christopher.. Dancin'.... heh... am I right?
Ben Craw, a video editor at The Huffington Post, has created a five-minute supercut of Christopher Walken dancing in movies. A full list of the films can be viewed online at The Huffington Post.
Unless you’ve seen every one of Walken’s movies — and there are a lot of them — you might not realize just how many times he has danced on screen. Whether it’s a song-and-dance extravaganza such as 1988′s “Puss in Boots,” or a quick jig inserted into an otherwise serious role, such as 1990′s “King of New York” (which was reportedly improvised on the spot), the man simply loves to dance. And we love to watch him. In honor of the national treasure that is Christopher Walken, here is a music video of him dancing his way across the silver screen and into our hearts.

How to Speak Dothraki, A Parody of ‘Game of Thrones’ and the Muzzy Language-Learning System for Kids
Christopher LantzIt is known.
Nacho Punch has created “How to Speak Dothraki,” a funny parody that brings together HBO‘s popular TV series Game of Thrones and Muzzy, the BBC‘s language-learning system for kids from the 90s. They guarantee that “humans, giants, and even bastards” can easily learn Dothraki language.
Before Rosetta Stone, children relied on Muzzy, a lovable cartoon character who taught them how to speak in different languages. They included Dothraki, Valyrian, Hodor and White Walker.

See Images, Poster, and Great Viral Video for Sundance Sci-Fi ‘The Signal’
Christopher LantzSounds like an interesting premise.

The Sundance sci-fi The Signal, almost a mystery as much as it is a science fiction piece, played really well at the festival this year. While I didn’t get to see it, Peter loved the film, and it was quickly set for a summer release by Focus Features. But The Signal remains a mystery to most potential audiences — and that’s where these new images and a viral video come in. None of these materials will give away what’s going on in the film, but they probably will make you a lot more curious about seeing it.
Here’s the video, which points to the website RUAGITATED.COM, from which the images originally came.
Here are two more images, via the Film Stage:
The Signal is set for a June release.
Three college students on a road trip across the Southwest experience a detour; the tracking of a computer genius who has already hacked into MIT and exposed security faults. The trio find themselves drawn to an eerily isolated area when suddenly, everything goes dark. When one of the students, Nic, regains consciousness, he is in a waking nightmare… The Signal stars Brenton Thwaites, Olivia Cooke, Beau Knapp and Laurence Fishburne and is directed by William Eubank.
