White person just ran their car into a #DCFerguson protester at DuPont Circle in Washington DC and was going so fast that they carried them for a few feet on front of their car. Then he got out of his car and yelled at a black woman who was protesting. White police officer did nothing and let the guy drive off. Literally a hit and run of a black protester by a white person just happened with police looking on and dozens of witnesses and no action here in DC. The person is ok but wow.

Oklahoma students fight back against rape and bullying at their school with #YesAllDaughters 

Last Friday, Jezebel posted a disturbing account of three female students in Norman, Oklahoma, who were allegedly raped by the same male classmate — and bullied out of school as a result. 

But while these girls and their families say the school failed in providing a safe environment for them, they have found powerful support elsewhere: the local community.

On Monday, a group called Yes All Daughters organized a peaceful protest outside Norman High School. Over 1,000 students, parents and town residents attended the seven-hour gathering, despite the school administration warning students that they’ll be marked absent if they participate in the walkout.

Police Refuse to Arrest Teen Who Bragged About and Recorded Rape of Underage Girls

Tristen Cole Killman of Norman, Oklahoma has openly bragged about forcibly sodomizing a 16-year-old classmate back on the evening of September 19th, 2014. The girl was passed out at the the time, and Killman admits that he knew she would never consent to the act in question.

Still, in spite of the fact that Killman has admitted his crimes, and in spite of the fact that he is 18-years-old, months later he has still not been arrested.

Police have been made aware of these crimes and Killman’s confessions but they have refused to take action.

The latest admission from Killman makes a total of three girls who he has confessed to raping, all who attend Norman High School in Oklahoma. The victims range in ages between 14 and 16 years old.

The first victim who he has confessed to raping says she was victimized back in January. The second assault occurred on September 19th and the third occurred 4 days after.

Now their school has added insult to injury by kicking the girls out of school for: “Disseminating a video of Tristen penetrating one of the alleged rape victims.”

No, you didn’t read that wrong. There is an actual video of one of the assaults, but instead of the school kicking Killman out and the police locking him up, the only action that has been taken has been against the victims.

We contacted the local Police Department which would only tell us that they are “investigating” the allegations.

Denver Police seize tablet, delete video of brutal arrest. But it had backed up to “the cloud”

Late in August, Levi Frasier saw a violent scene unfolding on the street before him. So he decided to use his tablet to record it.

As plain-clothed men repeatedly punch a Latino man in the face, they can be heard shouting: “Spit the drugs out! Spit the drugs out!”

In the background, a woman is screaming “stop” in Spanish. Two uniformed officers rush up and help restrain the man — and knock the feet out from beneath the visibly pregnant 25-year-old. She lands on her stomach and face.

Some 55 seconds later, someone shouted “camera”.

A police officer stormed up to the witness, who was white, snatching his device from his hands and threatens him with arrest.

“When he took it, I said, ‘Hey! You can’t do that. You need a warrant for that!’ and he said, ‘What program did you take the video with? Where is that?’” Frasier later told Fox 31 News.

The police officer proceeded to search through his files.

“The first officer that comes up to ask me about my witness statement brings me to the police car and says we could do this the easy way or we could do this the hard way,” Fraser said.

“It was survival mode. It was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to make it out of here. Not going to go to jail today for something I didn’t have anything to do with,’” Frasier said.

When police eventually returned his tablet, the video evidence was gone.

“I couldn’t believe it. My heart dropped,” Frasier said. “I know I just shot that video, like it’s not on there now?”

Frasier had forgot he’d set his tablet to automatically upload files to the “cloud”, external storage services fed by mobile communications devices such as 4G phone and Wi-Fi links.

Even if you have health coverage, you probably avoid going to the doctor if you’re fat. So you’re in the same situation. Why do you avoid going to the doctor? Every time you walk into a doctor’s office, the first thing they want you to do is step on a scale. Then you get the lecture, or the belittling remark, or worse, the weight loss advice. You figure, as long as you feel okay, why risk it? You don’t pay for abuse in any other setting, right? You value your mental health, so you stay away.

If you’re fat and you do visit the doctor, he or she might decide to treat your weight, rather than your symptoms. You get a diet, rather than a diagnosis. The doctor says all your ills are caused by your fat. Six months later, you still have sharp pains in your heel or nasal congestion or shooting lights in your vision. So you find a new doctor. This time you actually get treatment for your plantar fasciitis or your sinus infection or your brain tumor. (These examples are based on actual cases.)

Your doctor may not like fat people. A recent study found that fat women are a third less likely to get breast exams, gynecologic exams, or Pap smears. An exception: Fat and thin women get mammograms equally often. (The authors said that doctors may do exams more readily if they don’t have to touch fat patients.) Fat women are at increased risk for certain scary cancers (breast, cervical, endometrial, ovarian). Getting less preventive care, researchers concluded, may “exacerbate or even account for” this increased risk. It’s not the fat that kills us, it’s the fat hatred.

The French justice minister has been critical of US police violence after the Ferguson decision. She tweeted Bob Marley’s lyric “Kill them before they grow” referring to teenagers shot down by law enforcers.

Justice Minister Christiane Taubira tweeted in French, saying “Michael Brown, racial profiling, social exclusion, territorial segregation, cultural marginalization, guns, fear, fatal cocktail!”

Then, she published a tweet in English.

Taubira later explained to France Info radio that she had expressed solidarity “in an extremely painful situation.”

“I am not making a value judgment on United States institutions [but] when the feeling of frustration is so strong, so deep, so lasting and massive, you have to ask yourself about the trust in these institutions,” said the minister.

“One realizes this only happens to the same people, African American kids. So there is the problem of a certain number of clichés, portrayals, prejudices which can create terrible reflexes,” she added.

French Government spokesman Stephane Le Foll said, referring to the situation, that “one shouldn’t comment about what’s going on in the US” as the country “has its own rules and procedures.”

He added that everyone should “turn their thumb 10 times” before tweeting, an expression in French that roughly means holding one’s tongue before speaking.

Taubira, who took office in 2012, also came under fire from political opponents over her comments.

The right-wing mayor of the city of Nice criticized Taubira for thinking it "appropriate to judge the American justice system" and said the fact that she remains the French justice minister made him "ashamed for my country."

Taubira has been the subject of prejudice and racism scandals for some time: earlier this year, ex-candidate for municipal elections, Anne-Sophie Leclere, known for her far-right leanings, received a nine-month prison sentence and a hefty fine after publishing a photo of Taubira with a monkey.

"I prefer to see her swinging in a tree than to see her in government," Leclere said.

Last year, the right-wing French magazine, Minute, published a cover story bearing the title “Taubira Finds Her Banana.”

“A few years ago, when I was waiting in line at Chipotle, there was a white male cop walking through the restaurant with his food to go. When he passed by a table with three young black children (they were around 5-7 years, they looked very young) that were laughing and enjoying dinner with their family, he stopped, stuck his finger in their faces, and said, “I’ll definitely see you guys later in life”.

He then left, smiling and holding himself up like he had just won something. The children were no longer laughing, and their mother looked like she wanted to cry. It was so disgusting, what he did. These people were just trying to have a nice dinner with their children. The children were just laughing and playing together. They weren’t doing anything different from any other family sitting down eating in that Chipotle.

For a cop come up to A FIVE, SIX, SEVEN YEAR OLD CHILD and basically tell them in so many words that he’ll be taking them to jail someday is just so fucking wrong on so many levels, and it was all because they were black.

Cops don’t go around pointing their fingers in five year old white children’s faces, criminalizing them because of their appearance. The racial bias that cops have against black children is very, disturbingly real.”
