Things Tim Howard Could Save
It was a heartbreaking loss for the USMNT on Tuesday, but if there was one bright spot for the team it was Tim Howard's amazing performance. (Yes, and Julian Green's goal, but this isn't about that!). Howard's incredible heroics would have made Superman proud, and from the end of the match on the world can't stop talking about all of the #thingstimhowardcouldsave.

Television Show ‘Community’ to Return for a Sixth Season on Yahoo Screen
After being cancelled in May by NBC and deals to be picked up elsewhere stalling, the cult comedy television show Community has been revived for a 13-episode sixth season by Yahoo. According to Yahoo TV, the show is currently scheduled to air in weekly installments on Yahoo Screen sometime this fall. Though the sixth season is all the show is currently scheduled to run, Vulture reports that Yahoo certainly appears to be interested in more.
Cast members Joel McHale (Jeff Winger), Gillian Jacobs (Britta Perry), Danny Pudi (Abed Nadir), Alison Brie (Annie Edison), Yvette Nicole Brown (Shirley Bennett), Jim Rash (Dean Pelton), and Ken Jeong (Ben Chang) are all signed on to return. Show creator Dan Harmon will serve as executive producer along with Russ Krasnoff, Gary Foster, and Chris McKenna.
“I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo,” comments Dan Harmon. “I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, Bang Bus!”

The documentary is also available via the Internet Archive. We previously wrote about the theatrical trailer for The Internet’s Own Boy.
The Internet’s Own Boy follows the story of programming prodigy and information activist Aaron Swartz. From Swartz’s help in the development of the basic internet protocol RSS to his co-founding of Reddit, his fingerprints are all over the internet. But it was Swartz’s groundbreaking work in social justice and political organizing combined with his aggressive approach to information access that ensnared him in a two-year legal nightmare.

‘The StoryTeller’, Jim Henson’s Series Featuring Traditional European Folk Tales Acted Out By Puppets and Humans
Christopher LantzI was a big fan of this series. Sadly, it was the last project Jim Henson worked on before he passed away.
The StoryTeller, a collaboration between Jim Henson and British station TVS, was a wonderful series that featured traditional European folk tales acted out by puppets from the Jim Henson Creature Shop alongside human actors. The series featured a number of different actors throughout the episodes, but only had two regular characters; John Hurt as the storyteller and his talking dog, voiced by Brian Henson. The idea for the series came from Jim’s daughter Lisa.
The StoryTeller series was originally conceived by Jim Henson’s daughter Lisa after talking a folklore class at Harvard University. Jim was enchanted by the idea of a television series that remained true to the subtlety and metaphoric richness of ancient stories. He and Lisa brainstormed the concept of the series, basing all of the episodes on authentic folk tales. The result of a strong literary research team joined with the magical visual effects and animatronics produced by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, The StoryTeller is a rare combination of ancient tradition and modern technology artistry. – Muppet Wiki
Nine episodes were developed in 1987, but only four episodes aired in the United States until 1989 when the five remaining episodes were shown during the short-lived variety-style show The Jim Henson Hour. HBO subsequently picked up the series in 1997 and aired it in its entirety in 1997 and 1998. The StoryTeller inspired a spin-off series, Jim Henson’s The StoryTeller: Greek Myths, which ran in 1990.
