Still surfing the web from an old-school Mac? You may want to upgrade shortly. Google has revealed that it's launching the finished 64-bit version of Chrome 39 for OS X this November, and there won't be a 32-bit fallback (like there is with Windows)...

UK-based fashion illustrator and designer T.S. Abe created this fantastic animated self-portrait from a series 15 individual graphite drawings. Abe says this is the first in a series of moving portraits she intends to draw and also mentions this is her first foray into animation. You can follower her most recent work on Tumblr.

doodler

i have this thing where i draw these lines sort of obsessively when i’m bored at a meeting. i posted a sample of this last year, and i have come to like the odd output of this mundane distraction.

last night i drew the doodles above while playing ken burns ‘jazz’ documentary in the background (my umpteenth viewing, so i can get away with just listening… and what a lovely listen).

so, i decided to turn my doodles into art for the guest bathroom. i liked the idea of putting my completely random squiggles behind matting and glass. it’s interesting to me how framing them somehow legitimized them. and they’ll be a nice visual puzzle for folks while they pee.
