Halloween Recap
KVthis post has it all. that nasty peanut butter roll is making me nauseous, and we learn that hubby has a hidden talent for crochet!
Happy Monday Everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. My weekend was a good one. On Saturday I went to my friend Halloween party. Which this year they had a theme party. The theme was viking. So I went as a viking towns lady. My husband went as a future viking Dr. For a costume this year we made some of it and then brought some things. The dress I'm wearing is from a Halloween costume store. My husband crocheted my headband. Along with his hat and mustache. We brought some fur and lined them with silk. To wear as are cloaks.

Kustaa Saksi’s Bold, Colorful SS15 Collection for Marimekko
KVyummmmyyy
I’ve been a long time fan of Finnish artist Kustaa Saksi and his organic-feeling, nature inspired work. It’s been fascinating to see the evolution he’s taken over the years, though his most recent work may just be some of my very favorite – a collaboration with the legendary Marimekko.
Finnish artist Kustaa Saksi makes his Marimekko debut in the collection with the fascinating Merivuokko (sea anemone) and Meriheinä (sea grass) prints that are seen as fabric, home textiles and tableware. The prints were inspired by the rhythm, colours and atmosphere of the sea floor that he has experienced during his scuba diving trips. The Merivuokko pattern depicts the depth and abstract, clear forms of the sea and details of its flora and fauna. The free, swaying vegetation of the sea floor and its organized chaos, on the other hand, gave rise to the light, ethereal and moving Meriheinä print.
I love the range that his work has hit, going from homewares to fashion. It shows the versatility of his creativity and how these unique patterns can be used for some many fascinating applications. I don’t think the collection is out quite yet, so the trick is figuring out how to get one of those pillows below…
Britney's 'Blackout' Album Turns 7 Years Old Today: A Look Back
KVhonestly this is one of my favorite albums of all time and hands down britney's best. i could talk forever about this era of her life but instead let's just give Blackout a full listen this week and appreciate this genius pop album for what it is.
The Album
1. Gimme More
2. Piece of Me
3. Radar
4. Break the Ice
5. Heaven on Earth
6. Get Naked (I Got a Plan)
7. Freakshow
8. Toy Soldier
9. Hot as Ice
10. Ooh Ooh Baby
11. Perfect Lover
12. Why Should I Be Sad
The VMA Performance
Britney kicked off the Blackout era by performing "Gimme More', the album's lead single, at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards. Everyone remembers this performance, but not because of how good it was. This is Britney's only televised appearance during the 'Blackout' era.
The Music Videos
Britney only released three singles from 'Blackout'. 'Radar' was originally supposed to be the fourth single from 'Blackout', but plans for its release were scrapped due to Britney's lack of involvement in promoting the album, coupled with the fact that she had already begun work on her follow-up album, 'Circus'. 'Radar' was included on 'Circus' and released as the fourth single for that album.
The video for 'Gimme More' is most famous for being a rushed, poorly-shot mess which features Spears dancing around a stripper pole. The song peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The 'Piece of Me' video is most famous for featuring shots of a digitally altered Spears. This video won Britney the Best Female Video, Best Pop Video, and Video of the Year awards at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. The song peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The video for 'Break the Ice' was Britney's first animated video. The song peaked at number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Benedict Cumberbatch's Wax Figure Is Eerily Realistic
KVi look a lot like benedict cumberbatch but i look EVEN MORE like his wax figure u___u
It doesn't take a genius detective to realize that the new Maddam Tussauds wax figure of actor Benedict Cumberbatch is extremely well done.
Unveiled Tuesday in London, the lifelike rendition of the British "Sherlock" star already had women crawling all over it during a photo-op, which included primping, photobombing and selfies galore.
The 37-year-old actor's waxwork will reportedly be placed in the A-list section of the tourist attraction alongside such icons as Dame Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp, according to the Express.
"What a weird and wonderful compliment to be included in the ranks of those already committed to wax," Cumberbatch said when he was measured for the figure over the summer. "I've been accused of being wooden in my work but never waxy."

Stream Jessie Ware Tough Love
KVso goooood
The great British soul singer Jessie Ware is a week away from giving us Tough Love, her sophomore album. She’s already been uncommonly generous with it, sharing the early tracks “Tough Love,” “Share It All,” “Say You Love Me,” “Want Your Feeling,” “Kind Of… Sometimes… Maybe,” and “Pieces,” as well as assorted clips and remixes. But now we finally get to hear the whole thing, all at once. The album features contributions from people like Miguel, Dev Hynes, and Ed Sheeran, and it plays like one long, extended swoon. Listen to it at NPR.
Tough Love is out 10/21 on Friends Keep Secrets/Interscope.
