When little Wendy was first born, Nana was apprehensive at the beginning, until someone explained to her that “nursemaid” was just an expression.

I’ve always wanted one of… whatever these things are. Thank you.

Every winter solstice, shopping is a hot topic, and my feet feel like hot kohls! The carts jostle like an old navy fleet of some banana republic, pushed by old fossils tickled pink to payless and save a few penneys on staples! I’d like to hide in a foot locker, or maybe Pandora’s box, but I guess I’ll crawl into this gap and sleep like a bebe.

“She didn’t even make it through the front door,” notes Redditor IRaiseGuideDogs.

Er, that might be Bandit on the right. These guys are Bat-Eared Foxes.

As the ZooBorns story goes, a local farmer found them on his ranch. He had been building a dam on his property- the dam collapsed and they were found floating in the water.

He couldn’t locate their mum, or their den…

…so he brought ‘em to the Cango Wildlife Ranch, Oudtshoorn, South Africa…

..where they are doing well!

It’s the first day of winter here in the US, and this little guy is dressed up and ready to go!

[It ALWAYS scares me when starts acting all Grinchy and steals all the Who’s presents! Is that part….over yet?]

Mom’s hauling her little one through the Wapusk National Park, Canada by photographer David Jenkins. From Arne as seen on The Telly.
Though he already spent a good chunk of 2014 storming the internet with a series of awesome music videos, Weird Al Yankovic has one more unbelievable trick up his sleeve. Trust us: After 16 seconds, you're going to believe in magic.

Katooschka the Bengal Cat is giving Willow the Weimaraner the SUPER DELUXE treatment, in hopes of getting an extra special Christmas present next week, no doubt. Cats can be sneaky like that.

‘Member this post from June of last year? Well, it’s still raining. But at least the little feller has some shelter! (Yeah, we kinda used the same header last time, too. But it fits.)

Before I saw this on ZooBorns, I thought that perhaps “Quokka” was the funniest animal name. But that was before..
The Dibbler.
Or, in the case of this first photo, a Stack O’ Dibblers. ZB says The Dibbler is “an endangered carnivorous marsupial.”

The Perth Zoo bred some Dibblers and then “released them to a fenced area at Whiteman Park, giving them a chance to establish in the absence of foxes and cats, which have likely contributed to their decline in the wild.”

Nate E. gives us the word on this little Booda Belleh. “Her name is Boudica (BOO-di-KUH), aka Booda, Boo, Boodie. If you tell her to ‘pose,’ she does this Meerkat thing and will stay there indefinitely. Below, a close up on her mustache; she’s a bit uncertain as she had never met the photographer.”

“When especially unsure, she retreats halfway up the stairs and puts herself ‘in jail.'”

The final week Christmas Countdown is underway, so we decided to celebrate with some Whackadoodle Ferret ACTION, courtesy of Melody M.

“The feature photo and the next two capture my ferret Khibah in all his Christmas glory with Santa,” she says.

“The rest are of my ferret Tytoo, playing Eskimo girl. All photos by Vince. Wishing you the Cutest Christmas Ever!”

BAFTA-winning animator Jonathan Hodgson said Rabbit and Deer—a short film by Péter Vácz and Attila Bertóti—"is a stunningly directed and beautifully crafted play on the universal conflict of emotional incompatibility." He's completely right. Some of the best 15 minutes I've spend in front a screen this year.
