Mickthulhu Mouse Is a Fun New Way to Horrify Children
Walt Disney and H. P. Lovecraft have a lot in common: they were both very prolific creators of entertainment, they both crafted rich and weird worlds full of wonder, and they both are rumored to have been really, really racist pricks. If it weren’t for the fact that the former’s creation was a happy cartoon universe of magic aimed at children, and the latter’s was a horrifying universe full of evil and alien powers clawing at the very barriers of reality, it would be a perfect match.
As it turns out, there’s at least one person out there who thinks that it is a match made in heaven/hell, and that’s why you can buy a tee shirt with this alternately terrifying and cheerful mascot on the front. Now we know what horrors lurk beneath the so called “happiest place on Earth.” One day, when Mickthulhu rises from the depths of Splash Mountain, sanity will simple cease to be and all will be enslaved to his will.
Either that, or it’s just a shirt that you can buy for $20(USD) at NeatoShop.com.

John Oliver Delves Into Civil Forfeiture Laws and Why They Are BS
"Did you know police can just take your stuff if they suspect it's involved in a crime? They can! It's a shady process called 'civil asset forfeiture,' and it would make for a weird episode of Law and Order."

Sony's TV Service Could Run $80 a Month, Launches Soon -

Sony is among a large number of companies (Dish, Verizon) getting closer to launching an over the top live streaming TV service after battling with broadcasters for years over licensing. While services from Dish are to be aimed at cord cutters looking for inexpensive options, a story in the New York Post suggests Sony's price tag could be higher -- providing 100 channels for as much as $80 a month. Estimates for a similar service from Dish is projected to cost somewhere between $20 and $30, though obviously these prices can quickly change as negotiations proceed.

French Fries Around the World

Neato's own Miss Cellania wrote this delicious piece for Mental Floss entitled French Fries Around the World. The more examples I read, the hungrier I became. French fries are probably up there in my top five favorite foods. I don't meet many fries that I wouldn't go home with.
Aside from Canada's poor fries that are drowning in a sea of creepy brown gunk, I'm all for every kind of fry mentioned in the article. My favorite way to eat french fries is definitely how they serve them in Britain. The last time I was in London, I ate at fish and chip shops just for the chips. I love them with a generous amount of malt vinegar on top. What french fries on the list sound best to you?

Restful
I'm always tired until I go to bed. Then I'm anything but. Perhaps because it's the perfect time to think and thinking is dangerous.

Unfortunately timed magazine cover

Unfortunately timed magazine cover. Last week, as people in Dallas were learning they had a Liberian immigrant with Ebola in their midst, Dallas Weekly was publishing an issue that blares, “‘Taste of Africa’ Comes To Dallas!” on the cover.
