Supercut of Film Characters Screaming “Nooooooooooooo!”

by Justin Page
Christopher Lantz

The over use of this trope in movies has prompted me to consciously scream something else in times of emotional distress.

Nooooooooooooo!” – Darth Vader

Supercut Videos has released an emotion-filled supercut of characters screaming “Nooooooooooooo!” in popular films. The full list of films, in order of appearance, is available on YouTube.

Photographer Takes Portraits of Her 5-Year-Old Daughter Dressed as Famous Women from History

by EDW Lynch

awesome sauce!

Girl dressed as famous women from history

Amelia Earhart

To commemorate her daughter Emma’s fifth birthday, and to provide her with strong role models, photographer Jaime Moore took portraits of the girl dressed as five great women from history.

I wanted her to know the value of these amazing women who had gone against everything so she can now have everything. We chose 5 women (five amazing and strong women), as it was her 5th birthday but there are thousands of unbelievable women (and girls) who have beat the odds and fought (and still fight) for their equal rights all over the world……..so let’s set aside the Barbie Dolls and the Disney Princesses for just a moment, and let’s show our girls the REAL women they can be.

#78 – KHAAAAAAAAAAN

by Josh Millard

seriously beverly i expect a lot of bullshit from the rest of these guys but maybe you could just get off my back here

maybe you could help a Geordi out

Technically this is strip #79 because I did the whole thing once already this morning and then Photoshop Elements shit the bed on me when I was marking up the last couple panels of dialogue and god dammit I hate that and I should save more often. Ever, really.

I like the idea that Star Trek: The Original Series is basically the Monty Python of the 24th century, in any case.

Wonderland, Photographer Makes Fairy Tale Photo Series Inspired by the Memory of Her Mother

by EDW Lynch
Christopher Lantz

So pretty.

Wonderland by Kirsty Mitchell

In 2009 British photographer Kirsty Mitchell embarked on a photo series inspired by the memory of her mother, who had died the year previously. Her mother was an English teacher and storyteller, so Mitchell chose fairy tales as the theme for the series, entitled “Wonderland.” Each photo features costumes designed and made by Mitchell—she spent 10 years as a fashion and costume designer before focusing on photography. Mitchell is now wrapping up the series, which includes some 70 photos. The series will be on display at the Morren Galleries in Amsterdam, May 26 to July 23, 2013. A photo book is also in the works.

New Tom Gauld print: "Some advice on how to cope in these tough times"

by Mark Frauenfelder
Cartoonist Tom Gauld (author of You're All Just Jealous of My Jetpack) has a gorgeous new letterpress print.

A three colour letterpress print on 175gsm Somerset paper in an edition of 250 signed and numbered copies. The image is 21cm by 25cm, and the paper is 27 by 32cm.

The print will be available in late May but you can pre-order now. It costs £85 (including p&p) in the UK and £90 (including p&p) in the rest of the world.

Please note: This is a hand made print so there will be some small variations in tone and registration over the edition. This will be the only edition I make of this print.

I have one of his prints, "Characters for an Epic Tale," and I can vouch for its high quality. (See more posts about Tom Gauld on Boing Boing.)
