The anticipation at Milk Studios yesterday as we waited for the first Public School women's look to hit the runway was palpable. After all, designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne had promised that they'd only debut the ladies' line if, and only if, it was perfect. Talk about building hype. But, as the seventh model (and first female one) walked onto the runway in a sleek, black jumpsuit — sneaker-clad, with wavy locks — it didn't seem like a sudden shift in the program at all. In fact, it was a seamless debut, and one that was completely in line with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winners' aesthetic. The Public School woman was here.

In a collection heavy on the menswear — mostly for guys, sometimes for the girls — Chow and Osborne continued to do what they do best: a cool, elevated take on sportswear. For women, this translated to collar (and collarless) button-down shirts, sweaterdresses that had structure, suits that were tailored but never tight, and sleek outerwear, all, of course, in the designers' signature heavy-on-the-black palette.

Oddly enough, we already feel like we get who the Public School girl is. Her clothes fit impeccably but are never skintight. She favors comfort but masters cool. And, yes, boys, she'll rock a mushroom-cap beanie as well as you do with any outfit she owns. She's the Public School playground's new kid, but she seems to already know the ropes. And, we look forward to having her around for a long time.

adidas Originals by 84-Lab presents its footwear collection for Spring/Summer 2014. This season, the Kazuki Kuraishi-designed line features adidas Originals' ZX 500 Trail, Tech Super 2.0 and CNTR Weld silhouettes. The ZX 500 Trail boasts a navy upper with white polka dots and a chunky, off-white midsole with a rugged black outsole. The Tech Super 2.0 goes for a hunting-inspired combination of brown and orange across the upper with an off-white midsole and black outsole. Finally, there is the CNTR Weld, which features a seamless, welded black upper with white polka dots and an off-white midsole. Then/Now is a series in which the Luxton brothers recreate moments from when they were very young. The personal photographs, reinterpreted in adult form, are hilarious depictions of grown men placed in unusual circumstances.

As children become adults, a certain uninhibited spirit can be lost amid the chaos of "grown-up" responsibilities. These brothers have a great sense of humor as they remember their youth by throwing on silver capes and priceless expressions that are more fitting of a baby than a bearded man.

They pay close attention to details and match old clothing, curtains, and poses to the original shots and the adorable innocence of those two young boys lives on in the highly entertaining scenes that will make you laugh out loud. Imagining the creative process and then seeing the final results is quite amusing and hopefully the clever pair will continue to make us laugh with more comical recreations!

Here’s an Asian inspired spin on a classic crab cake—fresh lump crab meat mixed with lime zest, grated ginger, and spicy sriracha sauce, formed into patties, egg-dipped, and dredged in crispy panko, and then lightly fried. Last week adidas Originals made their mark on Berlin, releasing a gang of sneaks including the EQT Cushion, unveiling the ZX FLUX, throwing parties and taking over the streets and communal wall space with an all encompassing media campaign to coincide with the resurrection of the court classic Stan Smith. Overkill is one of Berlin’s hottest sneaker destinations for all the right reasons –  knowledgeable owners with a passion for the game and a family ethos. Marc, AKA Mr. EQT from Overkill managed to get his feet in these ‘New Media’ joints early, and was kind enough to shoot over an on-foot preview shot for us to all fawn over while we patiently wait for the official release. The multi-coloured edition is set to be delivered as part of the Photo Print pack, which also comprises oceanic and digital splatter treatments across silky tight mesh uppers. Stay tuned for full release info in relation to the ZX FLUX, it should kick off in Feb with the Photo Print pack to follow hitting the streets in April.

Longstanding British designer Paul Smith continues to reinvent commonplace wardrobe essentials with elegance. For his 2014 fall/winter line, the label looks to bohemian textile art and tapestry as its core theme, with trench coats, parkas and sweaters reworked with interesting textiles and fabrics. Nothing makes a woman swoon quite like Matthew McConaughey -- especially when he gushes about his wife in front of a room filled with A-list celebrities.

McConaughey took home his first-ever Golden Globe on Sunday (Jan. 12) for his role as Ron Woodroof in "Dallas Buyers Club" and he gave the most "Matthew McConaughey" speech as he accepted his statue, starting out with his signature catchphrase, "All right, all right, all right!"

But what got every lady in the room's eyelashes fluttering -- well, what got Reese Witherspoon's eyelashes fluttering -- was the actor's nod to his wife Camila Alves, who looked on as he beamed at her from the stage.

"My wife Camila, who has not only put up with me for all this time in our seven years and this last three years of this wonderful work, but, I mean, [she] kicked my a-- out the door and said, 'Go get it. Go get it, McConaughey. Go get it, my man, my king.' Yes m'aam, yes m'aam," McConaughey gushed.

And as he said those words, his "Mud" co-star Witherspoon didn't stare at him, but at Alves, who took in every moment of her man's speech -- including the part where he sent some love home to their three children, Levi, Vida and Livingston aka "Mr. Stone."

Dinanda Nooney was a photographer from Manhattan who documented the lives of families living in Brooklyn from 1978-79. she donated the entire collection to the NYPL Digital Gallery in 1995, and i found myself looking through every single photo with my morning coffee yesterday. it amazes me that so many of these homes could in fact be the interiors of modern day Brooklyn apartments – the furniture, the plants, the bike racks (!), studios of artists & architects and designers…

Nooney initially became interested in the borough in 1976, while working as a volunteer for George McGovern’s presidential campaign. Two years later, she used the connections she had made in order to gain access to rooftops and other vantage points for a survey of the borough. She soon became more interested in the people she met and began photographing families in their homes. Many of these sitters then recommended other potentially willing subjects. The portraits that emerge are striking in their attention to the details of architecture and décor, which reveal just as much about the subjects as how they choose to pose themselves for Nooney’s camera.

It almost looks like it is sleeping, but sadly, this little frog will not jump again as it froze solid trying to cross a lake in Norway. It is thought that a sudden rise in temperatures fooled the hibernating amphibian and it ventured out across the lake to find a girlfriend. However, as the lake froze, possibly overnight, the frog would have returned to hibernation out in the open, and died from the cold.

Photographer Svein Nordrum, 54, discovered the creature caught out by freezing conditions. He said: ‘I was out skating for a couple of hours and, suddenly; I saw something on the surface of the ice. When I saw it was a frog, frozen stiff, I was quite shocked. I have never seen anything like it before.’
