Sex Education Teacher Arrested For Having Sex With Student

A high school sex ed teacher has admitted to having sex with an 18-year-old student both inside and outside their Oklahoma high school, according to KFOR.com. In a written affidavit, 32-year-old Daresa Poe said she made a horrible mistake.

Investigators with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Poe and the 18-year-old student started their relationship in December. Both the teacher and student admitted to having sex at the teacher’s home, the student’s pick-up truck and inside the teacher’s lounge at the school.

“She was my grandson’s sex education teacher,” Kerry Mouser told KFOR. “It’s a total shock, it really is.”

Under Oklahoma law, sexual behavior between a student and teacher is illegal until the student is 21. Poe was charged with one count of sexual battery and six counts of second degree rape.

“I have made a horrible mistake. I have let my judgment falter and I am embarrassed and mortified for the decisions I have made in the last two weeks,” Poe said in a written confession. “I have had sexual intercourse with a student. I am so very sorry for the [decisions] I have made. I would take it back in a heartbeat if the chance was given to me…I hold a position of importance where people and student[s] look up to me and I have failed. For this I am truly sorry.”

Technically, wasn’t the teacher just doing her job?

The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics came equipped with a signature swoosh model in the Nike Flyknit Trainer Chukka FSB this past winter. Kaye Blegvad has just released a new collection & killer lookbook for her jewellery line Datter. she collaborated with photographer & artist Sabine Timm aka Virgin Honey who makes these amazing compositions out of found bits of beach trash, cut paper, tiny furniture, bottle caps and plants. i LOVE it. i love it. so refreshing and such a nice way to end off the week.

Some of the new pieces are developed from earlier ones – expanding, cutting up, or repeating familiar designs, and others are completely new. Sabine’s photos have a real sense of humour and wonder about the world in them, I’m kinda obsessed. I wanted a lookbook that was sort of abstract, working with colour and shape, to fit with the more abstract new collection, and she’s done it so well.

i’ve always been much more of a gold jewellery kinda girl myself, but these silver pieces by Rebecca Gladstone are lovely – especially modelled on this blonde girl with the cool haircut. you can buy online at her website or etsy shop.

Rebecca founded her independent label just over a year and a half ago. Having taught Art & Design for several years, working from her studio in Hackney, she now lovingly creates pieces of her own, hand forming, molding, shaping and casting in both silver and bronze.

Slam a cake in your face and call it a beauty treatment because "Mrs. Doubtfire" is getting a sequel. The Hollywood Reporter announced that a follow-up to the 1993 comedy is in the works, and that Robin Williams is on board to reprise his role as the divorced dad-turned-cross-dressing housekeeper.

Chris Columbus will be back in the director's chair with David Berenbaum ("Elf") attached to write the screenplay. A sequel shuffled around Hollywood in the early 2000s, but the project had been dormant until Berenbaum came around.

For those who don't remember, "Mrs. Doubtfire" features Williams as a recently divorced actor who tries to get closer to his children by becoming their nanny, Mrs. Euphegenia Doubtfire. The film earned $222 million at the global box office, and the Golden Globe for best comedy/musical. Williams, who also picked up a Golden Globe for his role, starred alongside Sally Field, Mara Wilson, Lisa Jakub, Pierce Brosnan and Matthew Lawrence.

After news of the sequel broke, Wilson, who played Williams' youngest daughter, Natalie, tweeted that she wouldn't be a part of "Mrs. Doubtfire 2."

"I've been in some mediocre movies, but I've never been in a sequel. And I have no interest in being in one now," Wilson wrote in a series of tweets. "Sequels generally suck unless they were planned as part of a trilogy or series. I think Doubtfire ended where it needed to end."

Well, maybe the rest of the cast is on board for more kitchen fires.

Remember the Asics Gel “Aztec Pack”? It turns out there’s a stray pair from that group that doesn’t feature the Gel cushioning system. Young Israeli-Russian photographer Asher Svidensky recently went off to document traditional Kazakh eagle hunters in Mongolia. Once there, he encountered something of a departure from the long tradition of eagle hunters – Ashol Pan is a 13-year-old girl who is the first female to be trained for this old Kazakh art.

“She was perfect,” writes Svidensky. “I was amazed by her comfort and ease as she began handling the grand eagle for the first time in her life. She was fearlessly carrying it on her hand and caressing it somewhat joyfully.”

For ages, the traditional art was only taught to boys, but now girls are being taught to be able to replace their brothers, who have to leave the land. Ashol’s eldest brother has been drafted into the army and she was the most likely candidate to take his place and continue her family’s line of eagle hunters.
