firehosefollowup; 'Sharper is believed to be suspected of two counts of rape'
I'm never being a fan of anyone ever again.

Sharper cuffed and one NFL coordinator on the move headline the news on Saturday.
Former NFL safety Darren Sharper has been arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department on felony charges and was given a $200,000 bond, according to the department's website.
Sharper is believed to be suspected of two counts of rape, dating from October 2013 and again in January of 2014, per TMZ reports and Pro Football Talk. In response to the arrest, Sharper has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL Network, where he served as an analyst since 2012 after his career with the New Orleans Saints ended in 2010.

Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt is reforming the band in a new town. According to reports, he has hired former Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Ray Horton to serve in the same role on his new staff.
Horton was once believed to be a potential head coach candidate, but left Arizona after Whisenhunt was fired and he did not have an opportunity to interview for the Cardinals head coaching job. He led one of the league's best defenses in 2012, but took a step back working with a young and inexperienced unit in Cleveland.
Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase is a hot name in coaching circles, but teams waiting for his services could be sorely disappointed. Reports out of Denver indicate that he could elect to stay with the Broncos in 2014, rather than seek a more prominent job in a new city.
Gase's decision could have a huge impact on the Cleveland Browns, who are rumored to be waiting on the offensive coordinator.

firehosewelcome to New Orleans, Jimmy Garoppolo

Some interesting prospects shone in the East-West Shrine Game on Saturday.
The history of the East-West Shrine Game tends to move in cycles. From 2009-11 the East dominated, only to have the West surge back with wins in each of the last two years. This pattern may be breaking with the East winning 23-13 Saturday on the back of its quarterback and kicker.
Blake Bortles and Johnny Manziel crack the top 10 in the latest mock draft from Matthew Fairburn.
Most fans care about the players more than the game itself and there were a few intriguing performances on Saturday.
Teams will be intrigued by Eastern Illinois quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who looked like an early second-day selection following a solid game. He was near-perfect in the Shrine Game, finishing 9-for-14 for 100 passing yards and a touchdown. He showed excellent accuracy, as well as an ability to run an effective red zone offense. Garoppolo was added to the Senior Bowl roster as a late addition and has another chance to impress before the combine.
Eyes were on linebacker Max Bullough out of Michigan State, who some believed should have been on the Senior Bowl roster. He didn't do much to stand out in the Shrine Game. He was raved about in practices during the week, but didn't make a big impact on the field.
Andre Hal of Vanderbilt was highly touted and didn't stand out. He showed excellent ball skills on a fourth quarter interception, but it was called back due to a questionable pass interference call. Hal remains an intriguing player and someone who could stand out at the combine. Another defensive back who looked quite good was Ross Cockrell out of Duke, showing excellent ball skills.
Kicking determined the winner, with 18 of the game's 36 points coming from the legs of Zach Hocker and Anthony Fera. Entering the game, Fera was seen as the more draftable prospect and, while one game wont likely change their stock, it will be interesting to see if Hocker gave himself a chance to be drafted following a perfect 3/3 outing for the East that saw him kick a game-long 56 yard field goal.

firehosemaybe the best part of that reddit AMA
In an appearance to promote the upcoming film The Monuments Men, Bill Murray showed up at Reddit yesterday for an Ask Me Anything session, and the reclusive star spoke at length on topics ranging from his film career to the genius of Gregor Mendel. Although Murray was sometimes cagey—he playfully claimed ignorance when a Reddit user asks about the urban legend that he once stole a french fry off someone’s plate and said “No one will believe you”—these moments were the exception, as he was clearly enthusiastic about the exchange.
Murray revealed new details about the two Garfield movies in which he provided the voice of the orange, lasagna-loving marketing construct. Those films have always been a puzzling part of Murray’s late-career filmography, given that he’s notoriously choosy about the roles he’ll play. Murray once again explained this oddity by repeating his previous claim that he only ...
