“Landlord” by Photographer Akkara Naktamna
You may recall photographer Akkara Naktamna from his brilliant collection of ominous urban foliage, “Signs” (check it out here if you haven’t already!). This time around Naktamna turns his attention to the various things casually displayed on the public sidewalks of Thailand. Ranging from mundane to bizarre, “Landlord” offers a subtle exploration of ownership and small gestures of power. See more images below.

Suburban LEGO Sisyphus mows his lawn over and over again
2015 gave us the wonderful kinetic LEGO sculpture of the tragic Greek mythological character Sisyphus perpetually pushing a boulder.
When creator Jason Allemann of JKBrickworks saw fellow LEGO artist Josh David's lawn mower kinetic sculpture, he knew he had to make one of his own &mdashl; but with a twist.
Building on his original idea, Allemann swapped out Sisyphus for his modern-day counterpart -- a suburban man in shorts and knee socks -- and replaced the fate of eternally pushing a boulder with mowing an ever-growing lawn.

THE END NEARS: Insane Waterspout Forms Over Tampa
A waterspout is a weather phenomenon that happens when a combo of air and mist form a potentially dangerous vortex. This particular one actually came ashore which is unusual as they usually stay over water. No one was injured but it did cause a lot of property damage. When reached for comment, one fish that got caught in the waterspout had this to say, "I'M FLYING, JACK!" What? You think fish haven't seen 'Titanic' -- are you kidding me? They love that movie because they consider it payback for all of their friends that we eat. Hit the jump for a local news report about the spout.

3D printed open DLSR
Lauraquijanovyes yes yes yes
Bozardeux, a recent French graduate and Instructables user, has undertaken a project to make an open, 3D printed DSLR camera. All the parts and designs are licensed CC Attibution-ShareAlike.
3D Printed Camera : OpenReflex by Bozardeux (Thanks, Gregory)
The OpenReflex is an Open-Source analog camera with a mirror Viewfinder and an awesome finger activated mechanic shutter (running ~ 1/60°s). What's more, it's compatible with any photographic lens with custom mount ring. All the pieces easily printable on an recent RepRap-like ABS 3D-printer without using support material ! Everything should print in less than 15h and anyone should be able to assemble it within 1h.
All parts are separate ( Film receiver, Shutter and Viewfinder ) to simplify builds and modifications. The source files are available under the CreativeCommon By-Sa license, fell free to modify them if you want a new feature, and don't forget to share your improvements on the web ;)

Hand Drawn Map of Le Marais area of Paris by Jenni Sparks
I was commissioned by Rosapark and BHV store to create a promotional map of Le Marais area of Paris. The store is a prominent part of Le Marais and the client wanted to reflect it’s standing within that area, the creative and historical culture, as well as highlighting some other local businesses.

Whimsical Sky Art by Thomas Lamadieu
French artist Thomas Lamadieu, also know as Roots Art, must really love looking at the sky, but for different reasons than you might think. Every time he looks up, Thomas sees a potential canvas where the building rooftops frame the sky. He photographs it and uses the odd sky shapes to create whimsical line drawings.
“My artistic aim is to show a different perception of urban architecture and the everyday environment around us, what we can construct with a boundless imagination,” says Thomas. Aren’t you just gonna see these creatures now every time you look up?
