I have to agree with Saul Tigh, and to a lesser degree, Donna Noble. I don't mean I love Donna less than Saul, because I love Donna with a love that is like a fiery sun, I love her almost as much as my psychotic cat. I just mean I disliked her less than Saul. Especially once she went from one-shot to actual companion. It seemed there was a lot of negative characteristics built into her, so she pretty much read as character development walking. But Saul... he didn't change, he simply showed you more of who he was.
