I cannot take it anymore.

Vows: Donald J. Trump and Michael Pence

Donald J. Trump, a son of the late Fred and Mary Trump, and Michael “Mike” Pence, a son of of Edward and Nancy Pence, were married July 19 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Reverend Sean Hannity performed the ceremony.

Mr. Trump, 70, is a reality television personality. He previously managed a failed airline, a failed for-profit education company, a failed professional football team, and a failed brand of steaks. He was recently nominated by the Republican Party as its presidential candidate. Mr. Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, and received an Honorary Doctor of Business from Liberty University, which teaches young Earth creationism as an explanation for the appearance of life on Earth.

Mr. Pence is the governor of Indiana.

The couple met during the Republican presidential primaries. “I wasn’t sure at first if he was the right one for me,” Mr. Pence explained. “He gave off an orange glow and had very small hands. His calls to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. struck me as offensive and unconstitutional. But he won me over with his denigration of women and Mexicans.”

Mr. Trump stated that he felt the same attraction. “I’m a huge Mike Penz fan!!” he tweeted.

The romance blossomed after Mr. Pence said that he found himself constantly following Mr. Trump on Twitter. “I tried conversion therapy, but I couldn’t get him out of my mind!” said Mr. Pence. Mr. Pence realized he was ready for a deeper commitment after Mr. Trump accused an American judge of being biased against him because of the judge’s ethnicity.

Two of Mr. Trump’s previous marriages ended in divorce. Mr. Pence has not yet decided whether he will be keeping his name or his position in favor of the Trans Pacific Partnership.

Just beautiful @lemonade-time

oh my god. Imagine being Whoopi and hearing that though.

Well, when I was nine years old Star Trek came on,“ Goldberg says. “I looked at it and I went screaming through the house, ‘Come here, mum, everybody, come quick, come quick, there’s a black lady on television and she ain’t no maid!’ I knew right then and there I could be anything I wanted to be.” - See more at: http://www.startrek.com/database_article/goldberg-whoopi#sthash.gKeuf3XI.dpuf

destinyrush:

Unarmed Black Man With Hands Up Shot By Police.

Charles Kinsey, 47, a behavior therapist from South Florida was shot in the leg three times by the police in North Miami while laying on the ground with his arms up and trying to help his patient with autism who had run away from a group home.

It all started when someone called 911 and said there was a man walking around with a gun. However it was Kinsey’s patient who was sitting on the ground cross-legged, playing with a toy truck.

Charles got shot by police despite telling them he was only trying to help his patient.

The police shot him, handcuffed him and left him on ground bleeding.

North Miami police have not released much information at all. They haven’t released the officer’s name, they haven’t given us an update on the investigation. However, they did say that the state attorney is now a part of this investigation.

Police shoot unarmed black man lying on ground with his hands in the air

by rss@dailykos.com (Josie Duffy Rice)
ThePrettiestOne

It's shitty that I'm THIS relieved the man wan't killed outright. I mean, that's a terrible thing to feel relief over. Thank gods the cop only managed to wound him.

Once again.

In Florida, a police officer shot an unarmed black man on Wednesday.

Charles Kinsey was lying on the ground with his hands above his head when a North Miami police officer shot him in the leg. Kinsey, a behavioral therapist, was attempting to calm his autistic patient, who was clearly upset but not posing as a threat. The patient was blocking traffic after he managed to walk away from his assisted living facility. From the Washington Post:

“All he has is a toy truck in his hand,” Kinsey can be heard saying in the video as police officers with assault rifles hide behind telephone poles approximately 30 feet away.

“That’s all it is,” the caretaker says. “There is no need for guns.”

Seconds later, off camera, one of the officers fired his weapon three times.

A bullet tore through Kinsey’s right leg.

Police apparently mistook the toy truck for a gun.

The video is yet another exhibit of racist and reactionary policing, and demonstrates yet again that law enforcement is poorly equipped to handle situations involving people with atypical mental conditions.

Inexplicably, after he was shot Kinsey was then handcuffed despite the fact that he was absolutely no threat, and says he was left "bleeding on the pavement for about 20 minutes." From the Washington Post:

“I was thinking as long as I have my hands up … they’re not going to shoot me,” he told local television station WSVN from his hospital bed.

“Wow, was I wrong.”

The shooting was taped by a bystander with a cell phone. The officer has not been named, but has apparently been put on administrative leave, “as is standard policy in police-involved shootings.”

Members of Congress are living off food stamps for a week to protest Republican cuts. It’s a challenge for them, but GOP cuts would hurt millions of everyday Americans.

Why does this not have more publicity. This needs it!

I want a reality tv show where politicians have to live in poverty for a month. They have to live in Government housing, shop with food stamps, and get only a limited amount of money for clothes. Because here, they still have all their trappings, lilke nice cars and thousand dollar suits. I want them in Walmart jeans trying to determine if they can afford a carton of milk.

Give them a full calendar year. I want to see them confident in January, and sometime around June choking back tears at the Safeway because they are tired, so tired, of eating 25 cent cup noodles, eyeing other peoples’ full grocery carts with a dull bewilderment.

Let me see them despair because they have a persistent nagging cough that won’t go away and might be turning into pneumonia but the minute clinic is $60, which might as well be as six million dollars, either way they ain’t got it to spare - and that doesn’t count the cost of prescriptions. Let me hear them tell people about the muscle cramps they get at night due to eating non-nutritious garbage for months, the weakness from persistent hunger.

Let them know the shame and frustration of only owning one pair of cheap polyester pants for work and one pair of thrift-store jeans, and both persistently have ripped crotches and seams coming undone, no matter how many times they get sewn back up.

Let the women know the particular sort of despair that comes once a month when you can’t afford even the cheapest pads or tampons.

Let them understand the frustration of being charged a $35 fee for a $2 overdraft. Let them watch as the bank holds charges from different days in “pending” till they all come through on the same day, and the bank charges them four times for a single overdraft because “the charges all cleared at the same time”.

I want them to know the particular pain of having to decide between food for the week, or transportation costs to and from work. You can’t have both. Choose wisely.

You do not truly understand poverty until you’ve lived it and a month isn’t enough to encompass it. Not even close.

Black man Charles Kinsey told police he was unarmed before being shot

Charles Kinsey, a therapist who works at an assisted living facility, was trying to help an autistic patient that escaped from a group home on Monday. Police arrived in response to a 911 call regarding an armed man who was threatening suicide. Kinsey was then shot by North Miami Police, despite being unarmed and pleading with the officers, his hands in the air. He survived and was treated for his wound.

“When it hit me I had my hands in the air, and I’m thinking I just got shot!“ the caregiver told WSVN. “And I’m saying, ‘Sir, why did you shoot me?‘” The officer responded with three jaw-dropping words.

if you’re telling me that that scum’s (read: police officer) response to why he shot him (“I don’t know”) isn’t a DIRECT reflection of anti-black institutionalized racism in police forces….

Three years into the water crisis

And nobody gives a sh*t

i only heard about this 2 months ago. its been 3 years????

Remember this started because Snyder switched Flint from a freshwater mountain lake to the polluted Flint River simply to allow his wife’s company to use the lake for bottling instead.
This is a manufactured crisis of corruption and capitalism.

Also remember that the pipes corroded because they refused to pay for the chemical used to make the water less acidic.

Remember that when the first E. coli outbreak from the water popped up, the city hall was given water coolers by the state, free of charge, all while denying that the water could be unsafe to drink.

Remember that, despite having a huge budget surplus and a “rainy day fund,” set aside that could easily cover the cost of relocating the residents by buying their houses/paying their debt, or could cover a large chunk of the cost of replacing the pipes, the state has decided to continue to only put in the minimal amount of effort.

Remember that flint is majority POC, majority impoverished, and is still being faced with crippling water bills from the Detroit water supply company, where they are often charged $50 a month just to use the service, on top of the cost of their water bill.

Remember that there will now be an entire generation of children who will now be damaged by lead poisoning and damage from the multitude of neurotoxins.

Remember that this is what privatized natural resources looks like. Remember that these people are being punished for having the audacity to dare to be poor in an economy that won’t let them be anything but.

At every level, this has not been a mistake.

The State and City are most upset that people know its happening and are resisting nation-wide.

But if we lose focus they lose even the small amount of aid they’ve managed to get.

This is how they do it. It’s a siege on the public empathy. Eventually we become numb to the problem and despair. Or something bigger happens.

Then its business as usual again.

Don’t forget Flint
