Done and done.
(Not pictured: “Butt window”, but trust me, it’s there.)
You have no idea how much this cheered me up just now.
I for one, think this is a major improvement. Look how empowered he is! And it’s relevant to the character as someone who is powered by the sun, he’d want to maximize the amount of sunlight he receives, right? It’s not like it makes sense for him to cover himself from chin to toe.
In fact, I think some strappy sandals might be an improvement.strappy high heeled sandals would increase his height making him closer to the sun. and if wonderwoman can fight in heels it can’t be that hard, right?
SO EMPOWERING
Felt a dire need to contribute to the hilarity.
Now I can tell right away he’s a strong male character. Whew! No more confusion.
And I’m not even that into superheroes, but: gosh, this post.
oh MY.

In this week's edition of "wait, seriously, that was a thing?" the FDA has now ruled that products that claim to be "gluten-free" actually have to contain a distinct absence of gluten. Apparently, prior to this ruling, we were all living in a gluten-free-for-all.

Deadline | Will Steacy | Via
With the increased presence of large-scale media conglomerates and online news forums, the newspaper industry has taken a disastrous hit, yet over half of American citizens remain unaware of the trials now facing our trusted journalists and photographers. For Deadline, photographer Will Steacy confronts the brutal truth of contemporary news by photographing the historic offices of The Philadelphia Inquirer, where his father worked for decades.
Capturing the frenzied scenes of the newsroom and printing plant, Steacy highlights the unwavering dedication of the Inquirer staff, whose commitment to reportage faces an uphill battle against larger media corporations. In these strewn papers and furrowed brows, we find a steadfast allegiance to integrity, a desire to inform the public of the sometimes disturbing truths that affect our lives. Set against the hustle and bustle of the newsroom are tragically empty spaces, rooms cleared out and abandoned through financial necessity. Ultimately, Deadline is an urgent call to action on behalf of not only those newspaper staff members left jobless but on behalf of our country and its citizens, our shared past, and an uncertain future.

Gregg Williams will return to St. Louis, and his influence over a young, talented group will be on display Friday against a dynamic offense.
The St. Louis Rams and New Orleans Saints are set to do battle on Friday night to open up preseason action for both teams. The pair last met a season ago on Dec. 15, when the Rams upset the Saints during the regular season, 27-16. What made the home win even more impressive was that St. Louis was without lead signal caller Sam Bradford, who suffered a torn ACL on Oct. 20.
More on the matchup: The Rams will again be without Bradford, which means Shaun Hill will likely take the first-team reps. On the other side of the ball, second-year linebacker Alec Ogletree could see more opportunities to rush the quarterback. Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will have all sorts of eyes on his unit as he returns to the Midwest. His new squad has a boatload of talent, led by defensive ends Chris Long and Robert Quinn.
What will head coach Jeff Fisher have in store on offense? Running back Zac Stacy will have to adjust to teams game-planning for him after a breakout rookie campaign in 2013, but when Bradford returns he should have some more freedom out of the backfield. Fans will get a glimpse of how the Rams' balance looks on offense early on.
The Saints come into the preseason with veterans in several key positions, starting with Drew Brees at the helm. He'll be flanked on the outside by Marques Colston, who will give him a reliable target in the passing game. Perhaps the biggest playmaker on the field for New Orleans is tight end Jimmy Graham, who inked a four-year, $40 million contract in July.
But the preseason will feature fewer stars and more intrigue, like the battle at center between Jonathan Goodwin and Tim Lelito.
The defense got some reinforcements during the offseason when the front office added safety Jairus Byrd and cornerback Champ Bailey. Both moves should bolster a secondary that ranked No. 2 in passing yards allowed and fourth in points yielded. Where they struggled most was causing turnovers, where they ranked No. 24. Bailey and Byrd should each have a role in improving that area.

The Falcons ruin everything for everyone. They are the neighbor you feel obligated to invite to the party and you hope they don't show up to the party but then they DO show up to the party and you're like why the fuck did you come to my party? That's the Falcons every year.
I actually saw the city for the first time this year. Normal Americans like me usually only go to Atlanta for no other purpose than to endure a layover, but this time I actually left the airport and went into town! And in downtown Atlanta there was … nothing. Nothing at all. Apparently all the good parts of Atlanta aren't in, like, Atlanta Atlanta. They are in other Atlantas and thus are a two-mile, 158-minute drive away. Downtown Atlanta has an aquarium, a hotel, a McCormick & Schmick's, and 70,000 TGI Friday's. I don't even know if the buildings are real. The whole downtown may just be a set. I couldn't even find a donut joint. It was like Ebola had swept through the town years ago, instead of just this week. No wonder they did the Walking Dead premiere in that city. You don't have to change anything.
Greater Atlanta is a train wreck. Every street is named Peachtree. Traffic is asphyxiating. Half an inch of snow causes the sort of panicky gridlock you'd find after a nuclear attack. (Memo to every city from D.C. south: Don't try to excuse being snow wimps by saying, "You guys up North get snow and we get ICE!" Go to Buffalo in January sometime, redneck. You'll see PLENTY of ice, along with people who know how to properly drive a fucking motor vehicle.)
And even worse than the gridlock is when friends of mine like Spencer Hall use the city's endless dysfunction as a way of making Atlanta sound unique and awesome. You people living in cities that work are so beat. Here in Atlanta we have babies stuck on roadways and that is CULTURE. Stop pretending your dying infrastructure and civil corruption are endearing.

Yesterday it was revealed that AG Mike DeWine shut down a sexual harassment investigation in his office when the investigation began to focus on his long time friend. When that same friend, William Schenck, was later arrested for a DUI, DeWine refused to suspend or fire him.
DeWine assigned Schenck, his senior adviser, to the Steubenville rape case. Months before the case began, DeWine gave immunity to witnesses who admitted to filming and taking photos of the rape in progress, possibly because he and his advisers incorrectly believed the witnesses had no legal requirement to intervene or call authorities.
DeWine then spent months backtracking from this statement, and his immunity agreements, trying to find ways to turn the trial into a campaign opportunity.
The Sandusky Register has the full story on DeWine’s shutddown of the sexual harassment investigation here.

Come watch the Warhawks host Wake Forest on August 28 ... *if you can actually spot them*.
This is ULM football coach Todd Berry and athletic director Brian Wickstrom, demonstrating for you what camo looks like. At the time of this recording, they were briefly the world's two most definitive North Louisiana men.
Attend the Warhawks' camo-out, where everyone will be wearing camo, and you get free camo, which you can use to conceal your camo. No word yet on whether the home team will wear camo, but we're all gonna be pretty upset now if they don't.
Sometimes, you have to get creative in Monroe.

lots of gin coming out of Seattle these days, I guess
In my latest story for Details.com, I asked bartenders which new gins they love to drink.
I only included ones with multiple recommendations, and here is a list of 13 that rose to the top. I tried to limit them to gins launched in the last two years, though there may be an exception or two.
Rev your G&T with these new gins.
