Kristof’s (legoalbert) T-Jay 22-637 is perhaps one of the most adorable little robots I have ever had the pleasure of looking at. He says that he was inspired by the Science Guys from Adventure Time, and I must admit that I have never watched the show but this makes me want to check it out all the more.

The use of the sticker sheet scraps to add subtle detail to the body as well as to make the face is expertly done. And the design of the head with the recessed ‘screen’ and rubber band detailing is nothing to sneeze at either.

A build such as this is the perfect thing to put a smile on your face!

Los chicos de 8-bit Cinema se han currado un interesante vídeo que condensa las aventuras del Hombre de Hierro en un minuto escaso. Siguiendo una estética muy a lo Megaman de NES, el pequeño corto nos muestra las andanzas de mister Stark desde que es apresado y construye su primera armadura, hasta que se libra de su malvado amigo. Mezcla de fases y un montaje interesante se ven algo perjudicados por precisamente la corta duración y algunos diseños fuera de lugar que contrastan con los pixelotes más gordos. Altered Beast welcomed to its doom the 3DS

Hey, it’s another classic from Sega enhanced and thrown onto the eShop — Altered Beast! The game will add a lot of the features we saw in 3D Sonic the Hedgehog, like a CRT emulation mode, button remapping, options to play JP/Western versions, depth and zoom 3D options, etc.

Sega will put out 3D Altered Beast next week to Japan. There’s no word about a Western release, but the publisher has announced that it’s bringing 3D Space Harrier to Europe, so maybe the rest of the series is on the way too.

One of my agenda items during my visit to Kansai this week was to meetup with Shuichi Miyawaki [宮脇修一] - the boss of Kaiyodo which is one of the longest standing hobby makers in Japan who produce the Revoltech series and also own the worlds biggest figure and garage kit event Wonder Festival.

Before we settle down to talk and visit their office, we go for some nom noms Osaka style.

The Kaiyodo office is located in Osaka which we headed to straight after meeting up with Volks in Kyoto. The exterior of the Kaiyodo headquarters is a mixture of modern and the past with the brick walls which is not so common in Japan.

Greeted by a huge sculpt at the entrance.

Miyawaki-san is really into military stuf and owns a few vehicles used in past World Wars.
