Moloform combines traditional and modern in their latest product, the Squid cabinet, with a dose of fluorescent colors. With classic legs and a modern body, Squid can either hide in plain sight in solid white or it can pop with an electric gradient of color in either yellow or magenta that fades to white.
The variety of spindle legs reference the animal it’s named after. Each piece has nine legs, four drawers, two big drawers, and a small cabinet with a door. Available in regular or bold (larger).

RZA Speaks on Raekwon and Wu-Tang Album Delay, But Assures It’s Still “Brotherly Love”

Remember that 20th anniversary Wu-Tang reunion album we were supposed to get this year? Well, RZA has been pretty vocal recently about what’s causing the delay. In an interview with Grantland, he placed the blame on Raekwon for not showing up to studio sessions. Rae responded on Twitter, writing, “Yea I just read that RZA article? Sh*t is funny to me. I love u RZA, u know what it really is.”
During an appearance on the recently-revived The Arsenio Hall Show last night — 20 years after the Clan first performed on the show — the Wu leader elaborated on the hold-up, but assured fans him and The Chef “got nothing but brotherly love for each other.” Could it be the creative differences that Method Man spoke of that’s keeping the pair apart?
I been reaching out to all the Wu-Tang brothers and all of us came to the table so far — Method Man came and did a lot of verses, Inspectah Deck, myself — but Raekwon is the last one to come to fit his verses on. So in the article I was like, Yo, Raekwon, my brother, we need you. Come on up here, drop your verses and let’s make this one final album for the fans… I know Raekwon’s gonna be there, he know I love him, and we got nothing but brotherly love for each other. But put some of the business to the side and let’s go make this music, yo.

Rescued Polar Bear Cub Makes a Splash at Assiniboine Park Zoo

Assiniboine Park Zoo’s newest Polar Bear is comfortably settling into her new home less than 24 hours after arriving on October 28 from Churchill. Officials from the zoo, located in Winnipeg, Canada, travelled to northern Manitoba to rescue the female cub after she was found wandering alone near the airport last week.
Believed to be 11 months-old, the 94-pound (38 kg) cub wouldn’t have otherwise survived on her own, as Polar Bears rely on protection from their mothers for up to two years. Now that she’s at Assiniboine Park Zoo's International Polar Bear Conservation Centre (IPCC), the wild bear seems to feel right at home: she is eating well on her own, playing with enrichment toys, and splashing around in her kiddie pool. For the next 30 days, she will remain in quarantine, as is zoo standard procedure. This will allow close monitoring of her health and ensure that the new bear will not pass on any pathogens when she is eventually introduced to the two other bears at the zoo. Besides a few broken teeth and some bumps, she is generally in good condition, and does not appear to be stressed by her new surroundings.

The yet-unnamed bear is the third resident bear at the zoo and could eventually be placed into a breeding program to help conserve wild Polar Bears. She will be the center's first resident female, and their first orphaned rescue.
"It's one of those feel-good stories that we can save her. It's a shame that you have an animal like this that you have to take from the wild, but with no chance of survival, it's the only thing that makes sense," says Don Peterkin, chief operations officer for the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. "The IPBCC was built for orphaned cubs. We recognized that there would be other needs, but we all have a soft spot for an 11-month-old cub who has lost Mom and has no chance of survival in the wild at all. She's just too young to ever hope to survive on her own."
“Without the Center here, the options are fairly limited. We have tried in the past to adopt out orphan cubs with a mother and one cub, but those attempts have all failed,” says Dr. Jim Duncan of Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship.
The International Polar Bear Conservation Centre opened almost two years ago and is part of the larger Journey to Churchill exhibit that is still under construction, but is expected to open in the summer of 2014. The Centre has outdoor habitats for the polar bears as well. Eventually the three resident bears will move into one of the larger outdoor Polar Bear habitats in Journey to Churchill. The zoo is also looking at a fourth bear from Argentina that may join the others as early as the spring.

Big Cats Come Out to Play at Central Park Zoo

Exciting news: two healthy Snow Leopard cubs, an endangered species, were born at Wildlife Conservation Society’s (WCS) Central Park Zoo in New York City over the summer. The two cubs, a male and a female, made their debut on November 4. These are the first Snow Leopard cubs ever born at Central Park Zoo and the second Snow Leopard birth at a WCS zoo this year.
Both cubs weigh about 30 pounds (13.6 kg) but are expected to reach between 65-120 pounds (30-55 kg). When visitors will be able to see the yet-unnamed cubs will vary daily until the cats fully acclimate to their new habitat. They are are busy getting used to the new surroundings, sights and smells. (They certainly do look happy about new rock-climbing opportunities!)

The litter is the result of the successful pairing of Zoe, the mother (7), with Askai (6), a male sent to the Central Park Zoo from the Bronx Zoo. Both adults are first-time parents. The Central Park and Bronx Zoo Snow Leopards are a part of the Species Survival Plan – a cooperative breeding program administered by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) designed to enhance the genetic diversity and demographic stability of animal populations in AZA-accredited zoos.
Snow Leopards are among the world’s most endangered big cats with an estimated 3,500-6,500 remaining in the wild. Their range is limited to remote mountains of Central Asia and parts of China, Mongolia, Russia, India and Bhutan. WCS has worked for decades on Snow Leopard conservation programs in the field with current projects in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and western China.
