Portuguese designer Susana Soares has developed a device for detecting cancer and other serious diseases using trained bees. The bees are placed in a glass chamber into which the patient exhales; the bees fly into a smaller secondary chamber if they detect cancer. 

Scientists have found that honey bees - Apis mellifera - have an extraordinary sense of smell that is more acute than that of a sniffer dog and can detect airborne molecules in the parts-per-trillion range. 

Bees can be trained to detect specific chemical odours, including the biomarkers associated with diseases such as tuberculosis, lung, skin and pancreatic cancer.

You’ve surely seen it already, the worst music video of all time.. of ALL time! Kanye West premiered the clip for his soft rap number ‘Bound 2′ on Ellen earlier today (because that’s the most respectable platform to premier videos for self-respecting musicians). It features acres of Kim Kardashian’s velvety golden skin as she goes shirtless in the name of art, she also writhes around on a motorbike with a fully clothed Kanye, presumably because his body is not top notch right now – he’s just had a baby, people, he deserves to hit the Cheetos and let himself go a little!
The negative reaction to the video was swift and punishing. It has been decried as the final nail in the sea coffin Kanye was buried in after he jumped the shark a year or so ago, and Twitter users have had to develop new ways of conveying their desire to vomit while watching this. What everyone seems to be missing, however, is Kanye’s wicked grin as all this goes on – the man knows exactly what’s happening! The absurd obvious green screen with stock landscape footage, the vibrating motorbike clothed love making, the out of time dance moves, premiering it on Ellen – Kanye’s even wearing pretty awful clothes in this, like whack stuff that was hot three years ago. Can’t you see he’s trolling you? He’s doing it all just to get the reaction, and he’s laughing at us looking down from the top of his icy Yeezus mountain. Our hate is trying to bring him down, but we can’t even reach Mount Yeezy base camp, the dude is above the clouds. Kanye, you were right, you are a creative genius, this is your most brilliant social experiment yet, bravo.

34-year-old mother of three Jessica Shyba, aka mommasgonecity, has potentially captured the most adorable naptime series ever! After adopting a boxer/shepherd/lab mix from the Santa Cruz SPCA that fondly goes by the name Theo, Shyba began to notice the little pup's attachment to each family member, particularly her youngest 23-month-old son Beau as he took his midday naps.

Just three days after bringing tiny Theo home, the 7-week-old pup nestled in and fell asleep right on top of Beau as Shyba was rocking him down for an afternoon nap. This chance encounter turned into a recurring act as Shyba, experiencing cuteness overload, explains in her blog: "The following day, Theo met us up in my room for the nap time ritual, and so began what I can only describe as the most organic and beautiful friendship I have ever witnessed."

Since that day, the two have been dozing off together every since. Shyba's Instagram photos show just how comfortable the two are in each other's embrace, remaining sound asleep in each other's company for two hours each day. As the onlooking mother exclaims, "It makes my heart nearly explode with joy."

Aluna, Neo's sister, was also rejected by her mum when she was born. So she drew on her own experiences and looked after her baby brother.

Neo is still a bit nervous and jumpy around other dik-diks, but Aluna is teaching him to be brave.

"Aluna is dishing out lots of special care and attention and it’s helping him integrate into the wider family group," said zoo keeper Claire Mc Phee.

"She’s helping him to settle in nicely and it’s lovely to see.”

Man Arrested For Touching Himself At McDonald’s

Via The Smoking Gun reports:

After picking up food from a McDonald’s drive-thru window, a pantsless 69-year-old Florida man allegedly tried to force a female employee to touch him as he touched himself in the front seat of his vehicle for food, police allege.

Steve Orville Clemons was at the drive-thru window of a Wildwood McDonald’s when the cashier “turned to him to give him his change.” At that point, the woman realized that Clemons was sans pants and was pleasuring himself.

Clemons then allegedly “grabbed the cashier’s hand and attempted to pull her hand into his vehicle,” according to an arrest affidavit detailing the September 21 incident. After pulling her hand away from Clemons, the worker shut the drive-thru window and called 911.

Seen in the above mug shot, Clemons was later apprehended at a nearby gas station. While still pantsless, he had draped a t-shirt over his lap.

Free on $500 bail, Clemons is scheduled to be arraigned October 9 on a misdemeanor battery charge.

Aren’t they suppose to satisfy the customer within 2 minutes at the drive through or the customer gets off free?
