But there once was a time — many, many years ago (but not really that long) — when humans had to find a non-web-based form of entertainment

Dota 2 6.79: Patch Analysis: General and Item Changes
So, ummm. The game of Dota 2 has changed in a BIG way. First of all, normally these giant patches hit the original DOTA first, then making their way over to Dota 2 about a week later.
That didn't happen.
This patch hit Dota 2 first, and has turned the game upside-down. Here's my thoughts on this insane patch, along with most of the patch notes. See the complete patch notes here.
*Note: My thoughts on the Hero changes are coming soon! All of the information hits the character limit for a single post.

It's Better That You Don't Remember Coby Because It Just Went Under

You know those gadgets that you can buy at drugstores? Back in the early 2000s it was all portable CD players and PC speakers. Now it's MP3 players with 2GB of storage and wimpy tablets. And if you've ever done last minute Christmas shopping at a Walgreens you know that the brands start to become recognizable for their no-name-ness. Coby was a staple in that lineup until recently. Now a titan of cheap, sometimes questionable electronics has fallen.

Scarface Meets Seinfeld
Jerry Montoya is just a struggling comedian trying to climb up the ladder in the underworld. Say hello to his little friends, none of whom will cooperate with his schemes.
Vandelay Industries is still in the export/import business. But it’s not latex that they’re moving around.
Matin Comedy, which previously added the music and laugh track from Seinfeld to Breaking Bad, now brings us Scarface—the show about nothing and cocaine. Surprisingly, there is no profanity in this video. I didn’t think that it would be possible to get two minutes of that from the original Scarface movie.
