AlecbuggExcellent, Excellent show. Perfect half-hour comedy to throw on and pay partial attention to
In the most amahhhzing news to come in 2016 so far, Happy Endings is now available for streaming on Hulu. Remember back in 2015 when the writers for the canceled ABC comedy were ominously counting down something huge? Well, that turned out to be nothing but an April Fool’s joke, but this time, nobody’s fooling around. All three seasons are really, truly on Hulu now for your binging pleasure.
Happy Endings, David Caspe’s cult sitcom about a lovingly dysfunctional friend group in Chicago, stars Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Adam Pally, Casey Wilson, Zachary Knighton, and Damon Wayans, Jr. It debuted in 2011, but low ratings made ABC make a horrible decision—in fact, Vulture once deemed it one of the worst television decisions of 2013—and moved the show to a tricky time slot that pretty much guaranteed its demise. Rumors of a continuation have persisted over ...

Mesh networks are typically seen in areas experiencing natural disasters, political upheaval, or repression, where chaining routers together into a mini Wi-Fi network can provide a secure and low-cost connection. But one such network recently popped up in the Philadelphia neighborhood of Northern Liberties, home to a young and increasingly wired population. It’s called Bamboowifi, and its founders see it as a potential alternative to major telecom providers like Verizon or Philadelphia’s own Comcast.
Bamboowifi's founders, James Gregory and David Platt, come from quite different backgrounds. Gregory worked in public relations for the US State Department, handled marketing for an investment house, and started a profitable translation...

A little over 12 minutes into If You're Listening It's Never Too Late, the new mixtape from production trio Captain Cuts, you'll hear the lingering, melancholy piano line from My Chemical Romance's ode to freaks, "Welcome to the Black Parade." Then, that effortlessly recognizable opening beat from Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" drops in. At first, you're like, Noooooooooo. But soon, the ivories blend with the beat like they were made together, and you're like, What's happening. By the time Blink 182's teen angst anthem "All the Small Things" enters the mix, you're like, I need to be alone right now, please.
This is the recipe for the songs on If You're Listening It's Never Too Late: Mix one or two parts emo or pop punk classic (best if...

SpaceX just launched a rocket to space and safely landed the first stage, in case you hadn't heard. The historic feat marks a huge shift in the private space industry, as the idea of a reusable rocket is now on the table.
But another pretty impressive feat was accomplished Monday night — one of SpaceX's photographers took a long exposure image that captured the rocket's takeoff and landing all in the same shot. (This is one you're definitely want to see in high resolution.)
The image was taken with a Canon 50D, and the exposure was a whopping 660 seconds. (It was shot at f22 with an ISO of 100, for you camera nerds). On the left you see the Falcon 9's ascent into space. After the first stage separated and began its fall back to...

It was confirmed this summer that news of a Kindergarten Cop sequel was not just a rumor (or, for that matter, a toomah), and that erstwhile Expendable Dolph Lundgren would succeed fellow behemoth Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role. Now, on the 25th anniversary of the debut of the original, we have few more details on the film, as well as official photos from the set. We’ve learned that Lundren will play Agent Reed, who is sent into the world of nap time and sharing to recover a stolen flash drive that contains sensitive information about the Witness Protection Program. He’ll also have trouble with the school’s “politically correct environment,” presumably to reflect how times have changed in kindergarten classrooms, which used to be real cesspools.
As you can see in the main image, Kindergarten Cop 2 will feature Lundgren needing an armed guard to get the ...

Tesla and Spotify have hooked up to integrate the music service deep into the Model S and Model X. This is timely since Tesla's previous music streaming partner was Rdio, which just went kaput. That's the good news. The bad news is that it's currently available only to Tesla owners in Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong. US drivers are out of luck... for now.
But don't think that you need to pay Spotify 10 bucks per month to get any use out of it. Every modern Tesla owner (Roadster drivers are out of luck) will get the update, and you don't need a Spotify account to use it — instead, every car comes with its own Spotify Premium account. That means you'll get access to the full Spotify library from your enormous touchscreen, gratis. And...

AlecbuggSNL can still hit a homerun every once in awhile
Are you dreading spending your Thanksgiving having tense political discussions with your relatives? "Saturday Night Live" is here to help, with an assist from Adele.
In one of the best sketches of the season (maybe of the decade?), "SNL" revealed the key to resolving seemingly insurmountable family squabbles on Turkey Day: Just put on an Adele song. It turns out that everyone -- yes, even your annoying relatives -- loves the British songstress, and her new single "Hello" unites the fighting family depicted in this delightful digital short.
This being "SNL," though, the cast and host Matthew McConaughey take things one step further, as they each begin to gradually morph into Adele herself. First comes a serious set of nails, then long, flowing locks, dramatic eye makeup, and a giant, fuzzy coat. Then, Aidy Bryant is sent straight to the "Hello" set, twirling in the ever-strengthening breeze as she bats away flying leaves and tries to keep her balance.
It's a great gag, punctuated by the youngest member of the family (the brilliant little girl who turned on the music in the first place) facing the camera and offering her thanks to Adele. We don't need it to be Thanksgiving to do that, but we will just the same: Thanks, Adele (and "SNL"), for saving Thanksgiving.
