An interesting Succubus pendant

by TeraS

It’s been a while since I had a look through etsy.com for Succubus items. As such there are a surprising number of items that have appeared on that site and so, over the next little while, I will be sharing the things that I found there.

The first of these is what I think is, perhaps, a little over the top for my own liking, but nonetheless is quite a unique pendant in the shape of a Succubus… wings and all…

Succubus Pendant by Rottenz

Succubus Pendant by Rottenz

This pendant is called, quite simply, Succubus Pendant and is by an artist on etsy called Rottenz. You can find the page on that site where I found this item here.

The detail and craftsmanship that has gone into this work of art is simply amazing to me. The wings are wonderful, her shape and form fits her wings very well. I like the effect of the cape and cowl that seems to be draping over her form as well, it frames her body in the most interesting way.

It is a bit too much for my own tastes however in that I can’t think of anything that I own that would work well with it and that is a bit of a shame really…

Costumes for Succubi shouldn’t be accessories only

by TeraS

Mischievous Devil Sequin Costume KitOne of the things that I’ve noticed is that, occasionally, costumes appear for sale that seem to look good, have something going for them, but in truth are something else. They are simply a means to show what you might be able to create if you buy a series of accessories and then the actual dress, boots, and so on to make them work.

It feels like cheating to me.

The accessory kit is called the Mischievous Devil Sequin Costume Kit and it comes with the horn headband, atail with a sequin heart at the tip, and a sequin devil’s pitchfork.

The dress and those boots are not included. If you wanted to add them, they would cost about $90 on top of the $16 for the kit. So that means, to have what this model is wearing would cost just short of $100 US.

I can do better than this by far just by looking through my red dresses, picking out a set of good, really good looking horns and a tail, and a pair of thigh-high boots.

The thing is that, at least for me, that seems like one doesn’t use a lot of imagination in creating the look of one of the succubi and that’s a shame.

It isn’t the horns or the tail. It isn’t the dress or the boots. It’s the attitude. It’s the smile, the look in your eyes that matters.

You can’t just look the part, you have to be.

That’s not an easy thing to do, but when you can manage it, the costume pales in comparison to you.

At least, that’s what my Eternal tells me.

Two out of five pitchforks for the accessories.

Bit too cheap for my taste and imagination…

No by TeraS

by TeraS

Going to, at least trying to, make time to finish off several stories that I haven’t gotten to over the next while. We’ll see how that goes; it might, it might not … Still, there are little short stories that I’d like to tell and so … we’ll see how that goes, too …

No
by TeraS

There are those in the universe who have a rather warped idea of who Tera is exactly.

They believe she is evil, which she isn’t.

They expect her to do whatever they want her to if they summon her, which she won’t—depending on her mood, more than anything else, she might entertain their request, but never a demand.

Moreover, there are some things that Tera won’t do simply because they aren’t the right thing to do. That does not, however, mean that she cannot teach someone a lesson.

That, more than anything, is something that she does enjoy …

“No. I simply will not.”

“I summoned you! Just do it! It’s what your kind does!”

This exchange of views was, at that moment, being held between a certain Queen of the Succubi—who was standing with her arms crossed over her chest, a thin smile on her lips, and her tail peeking around her side past the long red latex jacket she was wearing—and the other person in the room with her—a blonde, who had all the makings of being a cheerleader, short skirt and all. The latter thought she had the means for her revenge …

Tera raised one eyebrow slightly: “Actually, no; my kind does not. You’ve been played for a fool, just so you know. I will not do as you ask. Deal with it and move on … or I will.”

She watched the blonde, who moments before had given her name as Buffy—and yes, Tera did have to stifle a giggle at that—as she started pulling on her hair in frustration. “Look, I want revenge, you can give it to me. So, what’s it going to cost?”

That eyebrow raised a little higher as Tera replied: “So we’re moving away from the whole ‘suck their souls out’ thing and moving onto something a little more realistic, then?”

“Yes … Fine.”

Tera shifted her stance slightly as she narrowed her eyes: “Have you any idea at all what you would like, or are you leaving that up to me?”

“Do whatever you want. I don’t care. I just want to get even with them.”

Tera looked at the circle below her and then simply crossed over it as she walked up to Buffy: “First things first: the only reason I appeared was because you were quite willing to go summon things that would likely eat you first. Lucky you, you picked me instead. So …” The succubi plucked the book from Buffy’s now shaking hands, putting it into one of her jacket pockets as she did so: “… I’m taking this.”

The look in the cheerleader’s eyes made it quite clear that she was frightened now, and coming to realize that she never actually had the Queen of the Succubi in her control. Still, she tried to put on a brave front as she answered: “Just give me my revenge.”

Tera walked around her, stopping to lean in and whisper in her right ear: “You know … revenge is such a petty thing. Why not do something more … interesting?”

Whether it was the whispering purr, the closeness of having the Queen of the Succubi next to her, or the little flutter in her clit from Tera’s innuendo that sent a shiver through the blonde’s body, she somehow managed to swallow her moan and ask: “Like … what?”

Tera stroked a fingertip over Buffy’s cheek, mulling as she did: “How about changing you, rather than changing them?”

The suggestion should have caused her to startle, to snap out of her focus on her clit—which was at that moment quivering and holding most of her attention—but it didn’t. Instead she managed to reply: “Ummmm … bu-bu-but … n-n-n-not about me … It’s about … them.”

Tapping that finger, Tera purred: “Of course it is. But you are such a delicious morsel that all it would take are a few little nudges here and there and you could be so much hotter than all of them. Wouldn’t it make you so wet if they all wanted you so badly?”

The thought of all of those that she hated needing her did have a certain appeal to it, and if she was the hottest of all of them, then she would have a kind of revenge on them. She imagined being fondled by them all, their hands stroking over her skin, and she moaned out: “Oh gawd yessss ….”

Tera moved behind her, then pressed herself against Buffy’s back, her tail wrapping around Buffy’s legs, and then cupped the blondes’s cleavage in her hands. “You sound like a needy little pet when you get all hot and bothered.”

There was a moment’s pause and then Buffy felt something cool touch the nape of her neck and then, almost like water, circle around before settling in so comfortably. A thought started to form, that something wasn’t right, but that soon went spiralling away, lost as her body started to ache, and her attention went to the red-tail’s light touches on her skin.

“All good pets are obedient. You are a good pet, aren’t you? You want to obey your Mistress in all things, isn’t that right?”

The shift in her thoughts, the loss of her will, the need to listen, to obey, to be whatever Mistress told her to be, was so sudden that what she had been before was dust on the wind, forgotten, immaterial.

Tera’s voice turned slightly insistent, controlling now: “A proper pet has a ponytail. She only needs to wear her collar and her heels. She is wet, needy, willing to obey with all that she is every moment.”

The collar that had formed glowed and a band of magic spread out over pet’s body. Bit by bit, her clothing evaporated, her hair altered, her shoes turning into what could only be described as those worn by porn stars. Now bare to Tera’s ministrations, she gasped in pleasure as Tera’s tongue licked against pet’s ear and she continued: “Isn’t this wonderful, pet? You can serve, await the pleasure on your knees, and obey whoever wishes to have you.”

Pet dropped to her knees, arching her back to thrust out her cleavage for all to see, as a whimpering moan begged for her Mistress to command her, to give her purpose.

The Queen returned to stroking pet’s cheek as she mused: “Now, I should leave you like this, a wanton little pleasure toy to be found and used in all of the ways that you are thinking of right now …”

Pet thought this was wonderful, her thoughts filled with submitting to others, obeying them, being anything and everything they wanted her to be …

… right up until the moment that the collar evaporated and she became herself once more.

Startled, Buffy scrambled away from Tera, frightened of what she had done and how quickly it had happened. She looked at herself, fearing that she would see herself naked, changed, a mindless pet.

But she wasn’t. She looked exactly as she always did. Staring at the brunette from where she was, Buffy watched as Tera walked across the room, her heels clicking as she did so.

“How interesting. In spite of all of your bravado, the front you put up, you are a little submissive thing, aren’t you?”

“No! You’re wrong!”

Stopping a short distance away, Tera tilted her head to the left and smiled sadly: “No, I’m not. See, the thing is you can’t hide your desires from me. I know exactly what you like, what makes you hot, what you dream about and need.”

She didn’t answer. If Tera knew all about her, then she knew the truth: that what she wanted was to get back at the others, all of them, for every single thing they had done when she had given herself to them.

Tera shook her head: “Not every domme is mean, nasty, or worse. There are some, rare as they are, who love, care and protect those that are theirs. You, my dear … your trust was misused, taken, and then you were cast aside.”

Buffy didn’t need to hear this, didn’t want to at all and put her hands over her ears, shaking her head and starting to cry softly. She heard Tera come close, place herself beside her, and then she found herself in Tera’s arms.

Tera just held her for a while, letting Buffy cry herself out. When the sobbing was done, when she could speak again, she whispered: “They said I was worthless.”

Tera sighed: “They do that. It is the only weapon they have. They take out of you your worth, give you nothing and then laugh to themselves over that. It’s wrong, and they are not worthy of you.”

Looking at Tera in surprise, she asked: “They said I wasn’t worthy to be theirs.”

Tera nodded: “Of course they did. But that means you don’t belong to them anymore. You can do anything you want now, be anything you want. They have no say in things.”

“Why … Why did you change me?”

Tera flicked her hand to the side and the collar that had been fastened around Buffy was in her hand. She looked at the silver of it, the light glinting off of it as she explained: “I wanted you to see what might be. It doesn’t have to be.”

Tera tossed the collar into the air and it vanished into a puff of smoke. Giving a light hug, she continued: “You are better than that. You are more than that. You are whatever you choose to be.”

Buffy fidgeted with her hands: “How?”

Tera smiled: “You start by deciding to say ‘no.’”

“What if … I want to say ‘yes’?”

Tera’s smile became warmer: “Then … ‘yes’ it is.”

The following morning, a changed Buffy walked down the hall. Her head held high, her gaze clear and strong. The observant would notice her hair was in a ponytail, she looked confident, and a red collar adorned her.

However, some are not that observant. At one point she was stopped by one of those that had done her wrong. He tried to command her, to belittle her.

She smiled, remembering what Tera had told her: “No.” And then she walked on, leaving them all in her wake, forgotten. They would never know what they had lost, but she knew what she had gained …

… a Mistress that loved her, believed in her, and was with her, always …

The lesson learned?

Free will means you can choose wrong sometimes, but you can always make better choices, too.

GUYS, THIS IS IMPORTANT. I’ve been a lifeguard for four years, and I didn’t fully appreciate this until a little kid jumped into the shallow end of the lap pool. He wasn’t flailing. His eyes were wide in panic and h would try and push himself off the bottom, but the water was right over his head. It took me a couple seconds to register what had happened, and fortunately, another swimmer right beside the kid managed to grab him when he saw my reaction.

My mother and I run a water safety non-profit organization and this is one of the things we teach.

In movies someone who is drowning always yells and screams and it’s very dramatic and obvious but in real life you really have to be paying attention

I was on holiday in Egypt when I was 14, and there was a 4-year-old Italian boy I had to save because no-one else even thought he was in trouble. Luckily, the water wasn’t too deep and only came up to my waist, but the kid was so small it covered his head. All he did was gasp for air and angle his head up, and tried kicking off the pool floor while reaching his hands up. I sat him on the edge of the pool in the shallow end and then his mother came over and thanked me.

I didn’t think much of it then, but I saved a life that day.

THIS COULD LITERALLY SAVE A LIFE.

After 2 years of lifeguarding and many more of competitive swimming I can verify this. Drowning signs are eerily quiet. It helps to catch them early. The pool I worked at had a large amount of regular clients. I’d always keep an extra lookout for people I didn’t recognize since I didn’t know their swimming ability. Their face aiming towards the sky is the first thing they’ll almost always do. Especially children.

Rain and Sun By TeraS

by TeraS

On this day, something for my heart and his Beloved … Given in joy, love, and thankfulness always …

Rain and Sun
By TeraS

There are, at times, changes in the weather, even in the Realm. Not every day is sunny, not every night is cool and calm. There are moments when the snows fall, the wind bites, and, of course, there comes the rain now and again.

Sometimes the rain is barely there, a little speck of wet that lands upon one’s hair or skin, an instance that reminds that there are moments in time where things are not so bright, so sunny, so clear. But it also brings a memory of summer picnics, sharing with the one loved, and the laughter when the little brushes of weather danced around the lovers.

Other times, the rain drizzles upon the ground, making little specks of sound as it lands on the grass, the paths walked, the roofs protecting those that seek shelter beneath them. Along with the slight chill in the air and the coolness of the rain comes the knowledge that things will grow from the rain, be made stronger, more vibrant, more alive.

On occasion, the rains come heavy, loudly, full of the power of nature expressing herself. They bring the good from before, but they also bring change. There are things that are bent, twisted, altered from what they once were. Some of those things are never quite the same again, the rains having made their mark. Others are just … gone. They exist no more, they are ended, only to be remembered.

In all of these moments, in the good, bad, or otherwise, there is, however, one singular constant that remains: shelter; the small bit of comfort that one holds in among all of the chaos which gives that bit of comfort and security. For some, the protection it gives seems minor, inconsequential, really nothing of note as a whole. They do not seem to see the value, the gift it is, what it offers to those that have the need. For others, it is both everything and all they need; that place of calm and safety, a moment where one can catch one’s breath and gather themselves before facing the rains once more and then continuing onwards.

In life, there are those that we think of as being our shelter. In truth, the word shelter doesn’t quite express what they are, really. It’s hard to explain how much it matters when they say hello, share a thought, talk about the good and the bad that may be in life. There are those in the world that have light in them, that show others the way from the darkness, the storms, the moments when it is not the easiest of things to manage to find shelter among all of the rains that come.

Some of those rains are real. They fall upon us and cause things to transpire: a leaking roof, perhaps a basement flooded. They create a feeling of loss, a moment of despair, a sinking feeling that can, sometimes, make one curl up into a ball and just want to go away for a while.

Sometimes, the rain is within: the thought that one might not be all one could be; the idea that one isn’t good enough, doesn’t do enough, cannot be enough. They are those little voices that keeps pointing out your flaws, your missteps, making everything worse and, in doing so, causing the rain to keep falling down upon you.

In all of this, in all of the things that come and all of the moments that are, there is something to remember: in all of the rain, there comes the sun. And, in those that give us the light to see, the shelter given is that of the love shared.

There are those in our lives who, in more ways than they can see, have given us a way from the rains back into the sun once more. They do so not by their actions—as inspiring as they are—not through their thoughts—which tell of their wisdom true—but more by the love they have. It is knowing, truly, just by seeing who they are, how they hold each other always, knowing … always.

You see, sometimes the rains wash away the one thing that matters most of all: our ability to see. Our vision is blurred, indistinct, and we discover the way from beneath the clouds and rain cannot be found. When we find those that have the light, share the path, help to find the way, it is something cherished, loved, and held dearly.

On this day, we celebrate the moment when two souls joined in the presence of the Goddess. We celebrate the light that was doubled and then again in that moment. We give thanks for them both, always, for their way back to the light when it was so hard to find in the rain.

The rain is only for the moment. The sun is for always.

We have a winner for the all time worst costume… ever.

by TeraS

Sexy Devil Halloween CostumeI never imagined I would find a devil girl costume that I would know, on sight mind you, to be the worst thing ever created. I thought that there would be some contenders, at least a race for the bottom. But this? This absolutely takes the prize… I can’t even express how bad it is in pitchforks…

This is called, and frankly I don’t believe a word of it, the Sexy Devil Halloween Costume. None of which applies here I think.

It comes with, not that it matters at all, that hideous devil face swimsuit, I can’t call it a dress at all, there is a tail attached to it and that’s all. So for just a lousy swimsuit and that’s all, you have to pay $79 US.

But wait! To look like the model, who honestly cannot like this at all for the look she has, you need the horns which are another $15 and that stupid looking fur boots, another $40 and that fur shrug which is another $80! So to look like the model, and why you would want to completely escapes me, would cost a total of $214!

It’s simply inconceivable that someone would want to wear something like this for that price. Honestly there are better costumes than this that I’ve given a single pitchfork to that cost a tenth of this train wreck.

There isn’t a single thing I like about it, there is no possible way I would be seen wearing this, and… I cannot find the words to explain just how revolted by this costume disaster I am.

I’d rate it negative a million pitchforks, but that would be rating it too highly I think.

If you see this mess… Just don’t. Please don’t. Don’t encourage this sort of eye damaging pain and suffering on the world… Please?

Ensure & Insure

by Bruce Worden
This one's a little tough. Ensure and Insure are so close in meaning that some definitions seem to list them as synonyms. But others, not quite. There seems to be a slight difference, at least in tone. If I had to explain it, I'd say that the significant difference seems to be:

When you use it with an E, you mean you're taking an active role in preventing harm, loss, or damage from occurring. An ounce of prevention.

When you use it with an I, you mean you're agreeing to documentation stating that should harm, loss, or damage occur, you will be compensated for it. A pound of cure.

I've been seeing them used interchangeably a lot lately, and it could be that the meanings are shifting, and one day we won't have both spellings anymore. But I don't think we're there just yet, and I guess I'm here advocating for their uniqueness. Like a sentimental schmuck.
