THANKGODYOUREHEREwell this could be amazing or it could be absolutely god awful. im curious who has the rights.

After last year’s fight over the TV rights to Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time, Jordan’s widow Harriet McDougal has said that the legal situation is sorted and a new adaptation is already on its way.

Love her or hate her, Daenerys Targaryen remains one of the most regal and noble characters left alive on Game of Thrones. While other characters continually debase themselves with all manner of sex, violence and foul language, she remains (mostly) well-mannered. But as a new video from Vogue Australia reveals, the same cannot be said for her portrayer, actress Emilia Clarke.
The clip features Clarke in a glamorous shoot as she rattles off an A to Z list of her favorite words. The results are surprisingly dirty-minded. Some of her chosen words include “douchebag,” “nuts,” and “penis,” all said with clear amusement. For any hardcore Game of Thrones fan, there are few things as satisfying as hearing Clarke savor the word “masturbate” while looking glamorous as hell.

As if we’re not already having a good day, Rihanna has gone and dropped a surprise new video for her ANTI-cut track, “Needed Me.” Directed by outré director Harmony Korine, the visual is the third to come from RiRi’s latest LP – and it’s her best yet.
The dazzling clip chronicles a scorned Rihanna as she hunts down a tatted-up thug in a strobe-lit strip club, all while donning a sheer powder blue robe that leaves little to the imagination. Echoing a similar aesthetic to Korine’s darkly satirical 2013 flick Spring Breakers, the impeccably-shot video contains just the right amount of grit, grain and ratchetry to get your pulse pumping.
Watch “Needed Me” above and check out RiRi’s last two videos below.
THANKGODYOUREHEREat first i thought this was AMY
Dream pop merchant Tamaryn had an excellent effort last fall in Cranekiss, her third full-length. Her sound is shimmering, airy and unearthly, and she's displayed a penchant for provocative visuals with the exquisite clip for the album's title track. Today, she's given the visual treatment to "Sugarfix," another standout track. The self-directed clip … More »

Let me answer your question with a question…
how you doing? everything okay? everything okay at home?

I’m absolutely loving these painstakingly created VHS packages for modern films by artist Steelberg. The amount of nostalgic feelings these works of art are creating in me is dizzying. There were just too many amazing ones to include here so be sure to check out his Instagram.
THANKGODYOUREHEREive been working on a comic the past couple years that was pretty similar: time wizards and the infinity bong.

Jeff and Sharee (Broad City's Paul Downs and Ilana Glazer) were caught in a rut – until they happened upon a bong capable of transporting them to any time or place. Now, they're on a kush-fueled adventure through some of the biggest events in history.
THANKGODYOUREHEREcarpool tunnel is crakcing me up right now like i had a single solitary tear coming down

no but the best part is how he got the name:
his name was originally “potatoes,” and his owner, willoughby bertie, told the stable lad who helped him to write the horse’s name on a feed bin. the boy misheard it as, literally “pot-eight-o’s” and wrote it with 8 o’s. bertie found it so funny that he kept that as the horses name.
This is the most beautiful horse-related story I’ve ever heard.
THANKGODYOUREHEREi do not like seeing her roots, but i like the hook (or is it the chorus idk)
Rising star Bebe Rexha is making a name for herself. The 26-year-old is enjoying the success of a top 10 hit, featured on G-Eazy’s smash single “Me, Myself & I.” The singer now steps out into her own light with the video for her new single “No Broken Hearts.” Directed by Dave Meyers, the vibrant and sexy visual has a little bit of everything from choreographed dance moves, flashy cars, and an appearance from co-star Nicki Minaj.
A blonde Queen Nicki delivers a performance shot where she alternates between two looks, showing off her assets as she twerks down low in a few shots. Purchase the song on iTunes and watch the video below.

Artists who can turn everyday paper into beautiful works of art will always be my idols. Tiny scissors and X-acto knives are useless in my hands, but in their hands incredible things can happen. I’ve shared some of my favorite paper artists here before, but today I want to focus on one artist in particular who has mastered not just paper cutting, but watercolor and illustration as well: Yuko Yamamato.

Yuko Yamamoto is a talented Japanese artist who draws inspiration from the natural world for her work. From delicate paper flowers to ethereal watercolor drawings, Yuko’s artwork has such a softness to it and mimics the way delicate branches and petals move. Read on to learn more about Yuko and her work below. xo, grace
Artist: Yuko Yamamoto
About: Yuko was born in Japan in 1977. She received her degree from Kyoto Seika University in textile design.

Plastic flatware might be cheap, but it’s also annoying to reuse and terrible for the environment when you throw it out. So Narayana Peesapaty set out to make utensils you can eat. He calls them Bakeys.
THANKGODYOUREHEREthis is the second music video that is all about kate moss dancing. (the first being that white stripes one) this one is not as hot but i still love it.
Hot off the release of their Ritual Spirit EP, Bristol trip hop group Massive Attack have unveiled a steamy new video for the album’s title track, starring none other than Kate Moss.
Directed by band member 3D, Dusan Reljin and Hilde Pettersen Reljin, the visual is a slow, trancelike experience that captures Moss spontaneously gyrating in the dark while swinging a lightbulb.
“During the session Kate was dancing in the dark, lighting herself with a naked bulb. She perfectly captured the essence of this track… intimate and ritualistic. We edited it back in Bristol to keep it raw with no re-touching, I didn’t want to lose the spirit of that moment.”

THANKGODYOUREHEREthese hats you could have made at a mall kiosk ten years ago for like 15 bucks

Parisian accessory label NASASEASONS has released its newest hat offering, created in collaboration with Russian DJ CYBER69. The cap, which has already made its rounds in New York City, reappears in a lookbook shoot in NASASEASONS founder Alexandre Daillance’s hometown of Paris.
The hat itself is embroidered with the word “Outlaw” in Russian, with the number 69 on the back. Given that Rihanna and Theophilus London have already been spotted in Daillance’s caps on several occasions, we imagine the hats won’t stick around long – head over to NASASEASONS’ webstore to cop one.
The “dad” style baseball cap has become on of the past seasons’ biggest trends, crossing over from the streetwear underground into the mainstream, thanks to co-signs from the likes of Kanye West, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian.
Does that mean the humble curved-brim hat is getting played out? Let us know in the poll below.

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is seen leaving the Royal Monceau Hotel in Paris, France.
Before you scroll down, it might be fun to turn on your camera and record your facial reactions as everything unfolds before you.
You’re probably asking yourself, “How bad can it be?” Darling, it’s so bad we immediately decided to refrain from being too critical. Wearing this getup in public must have been traumatic enough for her. She doesn’t need two bitches such as we getting all up in her face about it.
Oh, sweetie. C’mere. You clearly need a hug.
Frankly dear, we’d tell you to go and slap your stylist, but we’re leaning more towards burning their house down in retaliation. They clearly hate you.
Actually, the only reason we wrote a line as bitchy as that last one is because, to our eyes, this all reeks of Miss Selena picking from a huge pile of merch all on her own. We could be wrong, but it just looks like she received a ton of big-label stuff because she’d be in town during the Paris fashion shows. It all got packed, and she just picked it out from a pile and threw it all together. Result? Hot mess.
Girl, keep the bag and burn everything else. Those boots are a hate crime.

THANKGODYOUREHEREway more than i thought they'd have in the list
It is estimated that the earth’s surface is struck by about 500 meteorites a year, but only about 5 or 6 are large enough to be detected by weather radar instruments or their fragments recovered. Large collisions that leave discernable impact craters are thankfully, extremely rare events, that occur in intervals of thousands of years on average. For instance, stony asteroids of size 100 meter in diameter strike earth every 5,200 years on average. Such a collision would create a crater 1.2 km across and release energy equivalent to 3.8 mega-ton of TNT, or about a thousand times more powerful than the combined energy of both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki explosions. Larger collisions involving asteroids 1km in diameter are even rarer (every 500,000 years), and collisions with 5km objects are rarer still (once every twenty million years). The last known impact of an object of 10 km in size was the dinosaur killer that happened 66 million years ago.

Jennifer Garner attends the premiere of “Miracles from Heaven” at ArcLight Hollywood in Hollywood, California.
Hmmmm…
We want to be nice – because the kittens just hate it when we’re not nice to Miss Jennifer – but we really can’t get behind this look at all. That is not, to our eyes, a pretty or fabulous dress. We don’t much like the shade of pink and the floral applique is WAY overdone. Plus, when she turns sideways, the shape goes unflattering instantly, which is ironic, because turning sideways is the only thing that makes those shoes look good. If your dress looks better from straight on and your shoes look better from the side, maybe the whole outfit should be reconsidered before you step out the door?

Vantablack is recognized as the darkest substance known to man. After recently being acquired by artist Anish Kapoor, who bought the exclusive rights to use the color, it appears developers Surrey Nanoystems have now come up with an even darker version.
First off, take a look at the original Vantablack and see that it is indeed darker than ordinary matte black paint (located on the right) and even NASA-grade black (located in the middle), courtesy of the video underneath. Vantablack is positioned on the left.
Now, however, Surrey Nanosystems’ new and improved Vantablock blocks 99.965% of light. After watching the clip below, you’ll see that the laser beam does not appear at all on the substance.
On the surface, Vantablack consists of carbon nanotubes all standing perpendicular. Light then bounces around between the tubes and in turn does not reflect back upward.
Currently, Surrey Nanosystems are reportedly working on a new spray paint version of Vantablack that will absorb 99.8% of light.

Shall we WRAP THIS MUTHA UP, kittens? After all, we’ve still got a ton of after-party looks to work our way through. Time to line up the stragglers and do this quick n’ dirty style. Crack your knuckles, roll up your sleeves and let’s get down to some driveby opinionating.
She looks a little bit like a Christmas ornament, but there’s no denying she’s got some fabulous preg-style. We’ve seen a lot of dresses that are vaguely in this style and we haven’t liked most of them, but the reds really make this stand out.
Patricia Arquette in Marina Rinaldi

The color is gorgeous. We don’t normally like boob bows, but this one works.
Lily Cole in Vivienne Westwood

Chewing gum wrapper.
We wouldn’t have put this dress (which is fabulous) on a blue-eyed blonde and we wouldn’t have advised her to wear her hair down.
Whoopi Goldberg in Dames of New York

She said it was inspired by Bette Davis’ famous All About Eve dress, but all we could focus on what how deeply uncomfortable she looked in it; like she could barely move. It’s a marvel of tailoring and construction and not necessarily a bad dress on its own (although it looks more Barbara Bush than Bette Davis to us) but it doesn’t strike us as her style at all.
Jennifer Jason Leigh in Marchesa

This is a bit disappointingly conventional for her and we don’t think the color does much for her, but it’s a pretty enough dress and she looks happy and comfortable in it. We don’t love it, but we can’t hate.
GORGEOUS. Fabulous colors and sparkle. She looks like a movie star and she managed to stand out even in this crowd. That necklace is stunning. The only weak part is the clutch, which looks kind of generic.
The color is pretty for her, but the dress is a big ol’ nothing.
Charlotte Rampling in Armani Privé

A beautiful fabric, tastefully tailored for her. We don’t love the patches on the bust and we think a slightly darker shoe would’ve been a better idea, but it’s a unique look that really suits her.
Blandly pretty.
LOVE. There’s been a ton of embroidery on the red carpet throughout awards season and we’ve gotten somewhat tired of seeing it, but we really love the high sense of drama she’s bringing. It’s a different look for her and we think it really works.
