Jodorowsky's Dune beat

A brand-new trailer for the documentary about Chilean director Alejandro Jodorowsky's failed attempt to make a Dune movie has dropped, and the look it provides at what could have been is fantastic, bewildering, and a little soul-crushing, mostly because we never got to see Salvador Dali as the Emperor of Space.

HBO commissions 3D street art of The Wall in London

by Winter Is Coming

To promote today’s release of Game of Thrones: The Complete Third Season in the UK, HBO has commissioned this street art of The Wall in London’s Bishops Square. Painted by street artists 3D Joe and Max, this 10m x 7.5m artwork is the first of its kind to be 3D from more than one angle.

Artist Joe Hill, founder of 3D Joe and Max, comments: “We were delighted to be approached by HBO to commission this artwork – we knew we had to do something really special to match the sheer scale of this phenomenal TV show that has swept the globe. That’s why The Wall in 3D works from more than one angle – making it a first in the 3D art world.”

Fans and passersby are encouraged to interact with the artwork; with the giant canvas appearing to look 3D it makes for fantastic picture opportunities. But hurry, as the art will be there for one day only.

I have an idea of in honor of Annie, tomorrow we should wear a metal shirt (if you can find one) or for those in seattle that were able to grab one of her metal shirts. I am going to wear one of the shirts I was able to grab. It is just a thought. Also if anyone is going to a memorial in your area for her please take pictures if you can. We should show off how much she was loved! We are burning a viking boat and will be taking pictures of it...so whatever thing you are doing for her let's see it."

I know several people who couldn't make it to Seattle were interested in doing a skype or google hangout memorial. Who's in?

Okay. Can we all just take a moment… and… shine a spotlight on this illustrator? Because, well. Absolute magnificence, that’s why.

Hi new friends or friends I'm reconnecting with, who also know more about ThOR than I do: is there a share bookmarklet? I randomly just chose a post from my feed, because I really just wanted to share this: http://www.shaenon.com/ladygaming.jpg
along with a relevant chat I found (there were others on the same subject, but this one was hitting me today).

Okay, I'm on here. But soooo are there privacy settings? I prefer that my RSS share habits are not visible to unknown bros or unrecommended bros of bros or, like, google searches . . .

I know it's just in beta, and thanks for getting something past 81% finished, but so far #TheOldReader is really clunky. Main annoyances (among quite a few, honestly): new shared material not posting at the top of a friend's feed; no differentiation in notification for entirely new shares vs just new comments on an old share. Need to find an email for feedback.
