If you tell a child that a trans woman with traditionally masculine features is a woman the kid is not going to be confused about what women are, they are just going to accept that some women have those features.
Or, alternatively if they are confused you can just explain that
some women have those features.
In this video from the Washington Post on the horrific situation in Charlottesville, white nationalist Sean Patrick Nielsen said that in addition to âstanding up for local white identityâ and âthe free market,â his top value as a Republican was killing Jews:
This is how accepted anti-Semitism is. These monsters are so comfortable in support for their Judenhasse that they are literally unafraid to give their names to a major news outlet or to show their faces to an international audience and declare that they want to murder Jewish people. And I worry one day the rest of the world will let themâagain.Â
So the word is that the anti-fascist hero that was killed in Charlottesville was part of the IWW. For those of you that donât know, the IWW is basically the reason we have a weekend and a minimum wage in the United States. They are a huge keystone of US labor history, and their members have never been afraid to step up in the face of evil.
The hero that died in Charlottesville is just another example of the Wobblies, which is what they call themselves, being absolutely awesome.
I thought that their slogan was particularly fitting today:
This screaming white kid can proudly walk around his neighborhood. Probably be asked to run for office. His white nationalism gets him cred in his world. Trump is stoking this resentment of non-white America.
So now itâs no longer a politically motivated hit-and-run. Itâs murder. The Hillreported:
The mayor of Charlottesville, Virginia confirmed that one person died after a car plowed into a group of counter-protestors during a white nationalist rally Saturday.
âI am heartbroken that a life has been lost here. I urge all people of good will--go home,â Mayor Mike Signer tweeted.
Witnesses said those hit by the car were people peacefully protesting the planned white supremacist rally. It was unclear how many people were injured in that incident and the earlier clashes; footage showed the vehicle crashing into another car, throwing people over the top of it. [...]
The photographer Pat Jarrett, who was close by when the incident took place, told the Guardian: âA gray Dodge Charger ploughed into a sedan and then into a mini-van. Bodies flew. People were terrified and screaming. Those closest to it said it was definitely a violent attack. The driver, who people later described as a skinny white guy with a straggly beard, reversed out of there and drove off, the front-end of his car all smashed up.â

BREAKING: Hospital official says one dead, 19 injured after car plows into a group of protesters in downtown Charlottesville, Va.
Meanwhile, Pr*sident Trump manages to spout the dumbest both-sides-do-it refrain yet:

This is a picture of the heroic students from the University of Virginia that stood up to hundreds of white supremacists in Charlottesville tonight. They were completely surrounded. They were beaten. They were maced. The police stood by and watched it all happen. But they stood firm, yelling âBlack Lives Matter!â and âNo Racists! No KKK! No Fascist USA!â until the Nazis left. They were then forcefully removed by the police, who called them an âunlawful assembly.â
These college kids bravely stood up in the face of evil tonight. And they are a shining light on what was otherwise an extremely dark thing. Fuck fascism. Fuck white supremacy. Celebrate these fucking heroes.
We seem to have lost sight of the concept of appropriate responses. If someone fucks up, call them on it. Don't assume that everything they do ever after that is always going to be wrong. If someone does something good, don't endlessly give them pass after pass after pass. Deal with people as they are, don't categorize them once and then keep them there for the rest of all time.
Iâm not even the biggest fan of Taylor Swift but the woman is taking someone to court because he sexually assaulted her to make sure women know that itâs okay to speak out when stuff like this happened.
And you guys are STILL insulting her and making jokes about her.
Taylor Swift is problematic. Correct. But hereâs a wild concept that half of you canât seem to grasp: We ALL are.
Regardless of your opinion of Taylor Swift, now is not the time to point out something problematic she did 6 years ago.
If you donât have anything nice to say, shut the fuck up. Being a survivor is horrible and sheâs very brave to report it. I didnât report my attack, because I was scared that people like you would laugh at me. You know, like how youâre all laughing at Taylor Swift right now.
When you laugh at her for reporting this, itâs not just her youâre laughing at - itâs every person that has tried to report sexual assault.
But your feminism doesnât count right now because itâs Taylor Swift, right?
Also, sheâs counter-suing. For 1$. The dude initially sued her for $3 million, because he was left without a job after she reported the harassment.Â
