#3Dprinting on canvas #3DThursday

I used an extruder temp of 220-225°C in order to favor the adesion with the canvas but against, an high temperature, produces filaments so you have to test wich temperature provide better results. Its better to keep the number of layer between two or three max.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!

FUCKING WHITE LIBERALS. This motherfucker saw a Black man dressed in a brightly colored suit and immediately thought “Pimp”. And then added it to his Human Trafficking board.
And I know he didnt make a mistake because the site he pinned it from? Farfetch.com? That’s a fashion site.
For the curious. This image is from a book about said fashion movement in the Congo. Ever seen that bad ass little kid in the suit and eyepatch? Same area/trend.

These four spacey tracks are built out of NASA rocket noises
When NASA first joined Soundcloud back in October, sample-minded musicians everywhere took notice. Suddenly, there was a vast resource of rocket sounds, radio transmissions, and otherwise space-related audio tracks from the NASA archive. Now, we're starting to see some of the music that's come out of it. This four-track EP from Bad Panda is built entirely out of NASA sounds, with the fuzzy rocket roars serving as kick drums and radio whines turned into remarkably poignant leads. The artists were only allowed to use sounds from the NASA archive, so every sound you hear started life in the archive, however crazily it was pitch-bent and processed in between.
Since NASA's tracks were uploaded under a non-commercial Creative Commons license, anyone's free to remix them — although Bad Panda has to give the resulting remixes away for free. If you want to try your own remix, just head to NASA's Soundcloud page for more rocket engines to sample.
Box office attendance hits lowest level in 19 years
Americans bought 1.26 billion movie tickets in 2014, according to preliminary estimates published by The Hollywood Reporter. It's sounds like a big number, but for the film industry, it's frighteningly low — a five percent decline since last year, and the largest year-over-year drop in nearly a decade. Most importantly, it's the lowest attendance figure since 1995, suggesting dire news for a film industry still struggling with digital piracy.
The National Association of Theater Owners hasn't released it's full figures (including average ticket price), so it's difficult to say how the attendance numbers will translate into total gross. In recent years, higher ticket prices for features like 3D, Imax and HDR have helped offset lower attendance for many theater owners. Still, industry experts expect similar declines in total box office revenue, painting a dire picture for the industry at large. The brightest spots this year came from the film industry's increasingly powerful franchises. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy was the year's highest grossing film at $332 million in domestic box office, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One finishing close behind.

Hey can you please explain why you are against James Franco/the interview? I'm not a big fan of him but I feel a bit uninformed about the whole fiasco and why it's having such a big impact.

no problem my dude!
the thing that bothers me the most about sony actually releasing the interview is that seth rogen and james franco had a HUGE opportunity at their disposal. that movie had a big name cast, and they could have done so many things with the concept of north korea. they could have made a drama or a comedy based in north korea or SOMETHING to use that platform to raise awareness about the horrors that go on in that country.
do you know that kim jong-un has brainwashed north koreans to make them think that he can read their minds (about 11 minutes into this video)? think about how terrifying that is: living under a dictator who you think can read every thought of yours, so thus any negative thoughts you may have about his regime need to be avoided immediately.
then there’s the fact that there is a massive food crisis in north korea. it’s so bad that people eat pieces of corn found in the shit of animals because they’re so hungry. one of the most visceral things i heard was that in severe cases of malnutrition, the anus actually doesn’t close and anything you eat or drink comes directly out of you. these accounts come from prison guards who witnessed it.
at any point for any reason, police in north korea can charge you with any crime they want, and take you AND your family - regardless of whether your family was even with you at the time - to political prison camps. these camps are obviously fucking terrible places to be, as demonstrated by the images drawn here by former prisoners.
there’s also the fact that people can’t leave north korea. their borders are tightly monitored with frequently rotating guards who are told to shoot anyone who tries to cross. china, who shares a border with north korea, sends back people who have fled to china from north korea. women who return to north korea pregnant are forced to carry heavy loads up and down hills until they miscarry.
so i was relieved that sony wasn’t going to release the interview because i knew it would be full of racist, frat-boy level humor (spoiler alert: it got terrible reviews and yes, it full of racist, frat-boy level humor) that makes fun of 25 million peoples’ suffering. they had an amazing opportunity to raise awareness about the devastation that exists in that country, and instead they used that platform to be racist, mimic accents and literally make butt jokes.
when north koreans are finally freed of their chains, they’re going to learn that the rest of the world thought it was hilarious how much they were tortured.
that’s why i am against the interview, james franco, seth rogen and sony.

Oregon coach says school will discipline players for 'no means no' chant
firehoseon the one hand, rape jokes
on the other hand, no does mean no
The chant came after Oregon's win over Florida State in the Rose Bowl.
After Oregon beat Florida State 59-20 in the Rose Bowl, some Oregon players chanted "no means no" to the tune of the FSU war chant, referencing the sexual assault allegations against Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston that did not result in any charges or school discipline.
Oregon coach Mark Helfrich told the AP that those players will be disciplined for that chant.

Ohio State-Alabama Sugar Bowl is the greatest punting display in generations
The College Football Playoff has brought us spectacular punts.
Both Ohio State and Alabama have weaponized punters. The Buckeyes have Australian import Cam Johnston, who as of now is averaging 58.5 yards per punt in the Sugar Bowl. Alabama has JK Scott, who was ranked the No. 1 punter in the nation in high school, and is averaging 60.6 yards per punt.
The Internet appreciates this very much:

Marcus Mariota burns Florida State with play Oregon was setting up all game
firehoseyou're welcome, america
it's now 52-20 Oregon
Oregon hit Florida State with solid gains on wide receiver screens all day. On this play, they faked one, and Darren Carrington was gone.
Oregon had been doing work with Marcus Mariota screen passes to wide receivers in trips formations all game long. One receiver drops back to receives the pass, the other two step up and block, and you get 5, 10, 15 yards. Florida State's corners started to play for this a bit, stepping up to give themselves a better chance of making a play near or behind the line of scrimmage.
That's what makes this 30-yard touchdown pass to Darren Carrington so dirty:
Carrington fakes like he's going to block, then goes deep. Look at FSU's defensive backs step up, for a second, then realize they're too late.
Check out the reverse angle:
The Oregon receiver jumping up and down like he just unwrapped the best present ever on Christmas morning is Keanon Lowe, the FSU defender going OH NO LOOK LOOK LOOK THEY'RE BACK THERE is PJ Williams.
The TD made it 39-20, and we're starting to wonder if FSU's miracle run is over.
