Chris Christie is such a great dad he’d deny his own son a chance for happiness (if the son were gay).

It’s true. We named him Asshole of the Day for it. http://assholeoftheday.us/post/64325522710/asshole-of-the-day-october-17-2013-chris

facts-i-just-made-up:

The smallest known cat is smaller than a human pinky toe.

Shyguy is a fully grown mackerel tabby bred in Cleveland by a breeder who specializes in small breeds. By mating two of the smallest conventional cats, the breeder (who wished to remain anonymous) was able to create a litter of incredibly small size.

The only cat of his litter to survive to adulthood, Shyguy is anatomically identical to a normal cat but is only 1/30th the size. His meow is quieter and higher pitched than a hummingbirds tweet, and the operation to neuter him took over 7 hours and had to be performed by special 3D printed tools controlled by computer. Shyguy is currently touring the nation with Barnum & Bailey’s flea circus, where he has eaten about 30 of the performers.

that’s a stone foot. that’s like twenty times the size of a normal foot.

what exactly are you accusing tumblr user facts-i-just-made-up of

littlelimpstiff14u2:

Artist Henrique Oliveira Constructs a Cavernous Network of Repurposed Wood Tunnels at MAC USP

Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira (previously) recently completed work on his largest installation to date titled Transarquitetônica at Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade in São Paulo. As with much of his earlier sculptural and installation work the enormous piece is built from tapumes, a kind of temporary siding made from inexpensive wood that is commonly used to obscure construction sites. Oliveira uses the repurposed wood pieces as a skin nailed to an organic framework that looks intentionally like a large root system. Because the space provided by the museum was so immense, the artist expanded the installation into a fully immersive environment where viewers are welcome to enter the artwork and explore the cavernous interior. Transarquitetônica will be on view through the end of November this year, and you can watch the video above by Crane TV to hear Oliveira discuss its creation.

First World Problems

by Wes + Tony

''Did miracles of science make you forget about your student loans yet?''

It’s sure is nice living in the First World, where lamenting the battery life on your phone is the same as saying you don’t care about genocide! If something is shitty in the context of your life, that’s fine. It’s a fundamental human right to be miserable!

AND TO COMBAT THAT MISERY (What a segue!) a good friend of ours just released an app called “Happy Hours.” It’s pretty simple, it looks at your location and gives you a list of ongoing happy hour specials sorted by distance. Usually the app is a couple bucks but it’s free to download for the next day or two so CHECK IT OUT.

In case you want to hear me at my long-windiest, I did an interview with Science... sort of shortly before we launched the newest project.

I'm mostly a football fan, but with the NBA kicking Donald Cocknozzle Sterling out and the NFL continuing to be okay with the Washington Racists, I feel like I need to learn to appreciate basketball. So, like, how do you score a touchdown?

Same as all sports, put a ball where someone doesn’t want it to go.
