dog days
This book is very exciting to me: it was written by my friend Kat Asharya, who I have been reading since the Live Journal days. She recently compiled and revised all the blog posts she wrote for NOGOODFORME.com and published them as this book, All Things Glorious and True. I am so glad she did. NGFM was way, way ahead of its time, cool and smart and girly and fun and very rock n’ roll. I’ve been dipping in and out of the book and it’s like hanging out with an old friend, the kind that you haven’t seen in a long time but that you have no trouble reconnecting with. So good for the soul. Recommended!

Thurston Moore's Crash Course in Poetry
Pat<3<3<3<3<3
Huzaah for Thurston Moore: as well as being a fully paid-up linchpin of one of the greatest cleverclogs rock bands ever, the Sonic Youth frontdude is also a staunch and proactive promoter, editor, publisher, reader, writer and performer of poetry. He's been quietly producing and publishing his own verse for the last three decades, and his insatiable enthusiasm for the form led him to found the brilliant Flowers & Cream Press – an indie publisher that puts out devilishly handsome limited editions of

Floral prints are the perfect solution to add a bright touch to an outfit. In certain pieces (I love how they look in shirts, like the one Taylor Tomasi-Hill wears above) and also in dresses. It’s almost impossible to be wrong with a floral minidress in summer. The master of floral minidresses used to be Kate Moss, but now she hardly wears them anymore. Fortunately, Alexa Chung loves them now (she even wore several times the floral dress Kate Moss designed for Topshop). Miranda Kerr usually wears flowers too, mostly in pants and long dresses, a piece she looks great in.
Here you have a selection of inspiring images and some pieces you can find on sale. If you pair them with a canotier, then it’s a perfect look :) .

- Maria
What was the Hipster? A Sociological Investigation, n+1
Este “What was the hipster?“ foi um desses casos. - Maria
Oishinbo - Fish, Sushi & Sashimi, Tetsu Kariya & Akira Hanasaki
- Maria

7FAM Summer Music Festivals Tour goes on in Lisbon!
Pate o Franco, senhores? e o Franco??
As you all know, we just returned from Lisbon, the third city we’ve explored, photographed, and loved, for the occasion of the 2013 Optimus Alive Festival!
We got an early morning start coming into the Portuguese Capital so we wouldn’t miss a single minute of the first of our three days there… So, to start at the beginning, right when we got into town we went straight for the Optimus Alive Festival with Zina, the Greek blogger of FASHIONVIBE from Barcelona and the local Portuguese blogger Carolina Flores of LAST MINUTE DREAMS… The first thing we have to say is that we could not possibly have hoped for better hospitality!
Photo: Optimus Alive
It was a festival with all of the exciting bells and whistles, and a lineup to match a series of concerts we thought we’d never be able to see in a lifetime: Green Day, Vampire Weekend, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Two Door Cinema Club, Stereophonics, Aluna George and many more… so many that we could barely keep up on all of our social media accounts!
It wasn’t just a weekend full of great music, but also great food (which of course, we never miss) and lots of fun whizzing around the streets and beaches of Lisbon, and countless cool spots we would have never seen if we weren’t accompanied by someone who knows the city so well from growing up there.
