According to TVLine, the actress will appear in Season 4 as the robot Aida.

It's important to note that the Season 3 finale teased LMDs, and prior reports claim these Life-Model Decoys, which are perfect robotic replicas of characters used throughout the comics, will indeed appear in Season 4. As such, Jansen's character will likely be referred to as an LMD rather than a robot.

Audiophiles in Japan are installing their own electricity poles

by Jon Fingas
Roumen.ganeff

Bit too much, innit?

Audiophiles are known for doing some pretty extreme things in their quest for 'purer' sound, such as buying headphones that cost as much as a good car or getting ridiculously overdone cables with little to no practical benefit. However, the Wall Stre...

Do you have a pest problem? Then perhaps you should consider calling in the Duck Squad!  This team of over 1000 ducks have a serious job – to keep down the number of snails and other pests on the South African winery they call home.  Created by Great Big Story, this is a charming portrait of how animals can be used rather than pesticides to keep the grapes growing.  The sight of over 1000 ducks ambling through the countryside in formation is quite something!

Imperium Review

by Josh Lasser

The further away we get from Harry Potter, the more Daniel Radcliffe seems to shine as an actor (not that he wasn't good in that role). In his latest movie, Imperium, Radcliffe stars as an FBI agent, Nate Foster. Foster is working undercover to investigate white supremacists who may or may not be planning on exploding a dirty bomb in the Washington, D.C. area.

Written and directed by Daniel Ragussis (with a story from Michael German and "inspired" by real events), Imperium is an incredibly intense thriller but, better than that, it's a multi-faceted one as well. Ragussis and company are not content with a monolithic group of bad guys who fall under the term "white supremacists"; he instead shows a multitude of factions within that umbrella including skinheads, the KKK, and more.

by Jordan Sirani

Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill is teasing a new, darker look for Superman.

In a post on Instagram, Cavill shared a close-up image of an all-black Superman costume, similar to the one seen in 1992's Death of Superman story arc in the comics.

Warning: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice spoilers follow.

In Dawn of Justice, Superman ultimately sacrifices himself to assure the Trinity's victory over Doomsday. However, following Clark Kent's funeral service, the movie ends with a shot of dirt rising from his grave, leaving the hero's fate up in the air.

John Williams Confirms He Will Score Star Wars Episode 8

by Matt Porter

Composer John Williams has confirmed to a crowd at a live concert he will soon begin work on Star Wars: Episode VIII.

According to Masslive, Williams said he will begin work in a few weeks after seeing an early cut of the movie.

Masslive reports Williams "said he accepted the invitation from Lucasfilm producer Kathleen Kennedy mainly because he was enchanted by actress Daisy Ridley's portrayal of Rey and does not want another composer scoring her scenes."

Star Wars isn't the only long running franchise Williams is staying attached to. A couple of months ago director Steven Spielberg revealed the prolific composer will be coming back to score the next Indiana Jones film.

NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 10-Series for Notebooks Unveiled, Launching Today

by Ryan Smith & Brett Howse

Although no two GPU launches are ever exactly alike, I think this year’s launch of the FinFET generation GPUs really drives that point home. Over the last 3 months we have seen an incredibly compact launch schedule from NVIDIA, having started with the GeForce GTX 1080 and GP104 in May, and adding another 3 cards and 2 GPUs since then. At least on the desktop side, this is the most aggressive launch schedule we’ve seen out of NVIDIA in nearly a decade.

On the mobile side however, things have moved at a different pace. In the most recent years, NVIDIA has launched at least parts of their mobile stack either directly alongside their desktop series launch (e.g. GTX 600M series), or shortly thereafter in the case of the GTX 900M series. So there has been a great deal of interest in when the mobile GTX 10-Series would launch, both due to overall booming gaming laptop market, and because laptops in general are the ultimate litmus test for power efficiency, and stand to gain the most from the move to FinFET transistors.

To that end, we finally have an answer to the mobile question. Skipping any pre-release fanfare like on the desktop side, NVIDIA and its partners are going straight to launch, hard launching the GeForce GTX 10-Series lineup for notebooks today. And while it’s been a bit longer of a wait than in past years, NVIDIA is launching a full 3-part stack at once, from GTX 1060 to GTX 1080, meaning the notebook video card is now fully caught-up with desktop lineup. There’s a lot to cover here, so let’s dive right in.

MicFlip Fully Reversible microUSB cable review

Roumen.ganeff

What dark sorcery is this?

I was thrilled five months ago to try out the MicFlip reversible microUSB cable. And it was everything it promised to be - a very well made cable which goes in your phone's port either way. Now there is a new version of the cable to fix the one omission the MicFlip had - dual reversible ends. Indeed, the new MicFlip microUSB cable is now reversible on both of its ends and it can go either way in your charger or PC, as well as into your device. The MicFlip 2.0, as I like to call it, isn't just a reversible 2m-long cable. It has a great attention to detail - its connectors are gold...

Supergirl: Season 2 Adds Miss Martian and Mon-El

by Nicole Carpenter

Supergirl Season 2 will add two new characters to the DC television universe—Miss Martian and Mon-El. Hellcats' Sharon Leal will play Miss Martian, with Containment's Chris Wood (who was previously announced to be joining Supergirl in Season 2) as Mon-El.

Miss Martian is a relatively new character in the world of DC. She was first introduced in 2006's Teen Titans #37. Like Supergirl, she was sent to Earth at a young age (but from Mars, just like the Martian Manhunter), so it seems like her story might parallel Supergirl's a bit. Mon-El, for those unfamiliar, is a superhero with powers similar to Superman.

Carrie Anne-Moss Discusses Her Marvel's Iron Fist Experience

by Terri Schwartz

Expect to see Carrie Anne Moss a lot in Marvel's Netflix shows. Her character, the lawyer Jeri Hogarth, made her debut in Jessica Jones, but since then she's appeared in Daredevil: Season 2 and will have a role in the upcoming Iron Fist. In many ways, she's becoming the Nick Fury of Marvel's Netflix cinematic universe, proving to be a familiar connective tissue as the four standalone shows slowly come together for The Defenders.

"It's exciting. The possibility's exciting. You hope you don't just come in and have nothing to do," Moss told IGN of her roles across several of the shows. "You want to come in and have something powerful. For Jessica Jones, that's where I get to have that experience. With the other shows, I'm having fun. I did something on Iron Fist and I was excited that it was something to do. I want to feel creative when I'm working. I don't want to just work for the sake of working. I'd love to be in all the shows."
