Has “Jim Eagle” Landed in Delaware? State Supreme Court Blocks Universal Mail-in Balloting

by jonathanturley
Gpscruise

Encourage your friends to run for office. We cant solely depend on Trump......

We recently discussed a federal court upholding the Georgia election law as constitutional, rejecting challenges based on voter suppression by a group associated with Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. President Biden has denounced pre-2020 and post-2020 changes to the state election laws as not just “Jim Crow on steroids” but “Jim Eagle,” an awkward effort to suggest something more scary than Jim Crow. However, some of us pointed out that provisions criticized by the President are found in many blue states, including his own state of Delaware. Now, the Delaware Supreme Court has rejected a Democratic universal mail-in voting law as unconstitutional.

The Delaware Supreme Court ruled on Friday that a state law enacting universal mail-in voting violated the state’s constitution. At issue was the Vote-by-Mail statute under which Democrats sought to expand the categories of absentee voters. However, Article V, Section 4A of the Delaware Constitution is explicit on those categories. The provision states with specificity the grounds for such absentee voting:

§4A. General laws for absentee voting.

Section 4A. The General Assembly shall enact general laws providing that any qualified elector of this State, duly registered, who shall be unable to appear to cast his or her ballot at any general election at the regular polling place of the Election District in which he or she is registered, either because of being in the public service of the United States or of this State, or his or her spouse or dependents when residing with or accompanying him or her, because of the nature of his or her business or occupation, because of his or her sickness or physical disability, because of his or her absence from the district while on vacation, or because of the tenets or teachings of his or her religion, may cast a ballot at such general election to be counted in such election district.

The legislature decided to simply ignore the constitutional provision. It is a standard canon of construction that “the expression of one thing is the exclusion of the other” (“Expressio unius est exclusio alterius”).

President Biden’s claims about the Georgia law have been refuted, including by the Washington Post. Indeed, not only has the President misrepresented the law but Delaware has some provisions more restrictive than Georgia’s law.

Now it appears that universal mail-in voting is barred in the state. Does that mean that “Jim Eagle” has landed in Delaware? No. The Supreme Court is clearly correct and the legislature knowingly violated the Constitution. Indeed, the Governor John Carney and Democratic sponsors were warned at the time that it was unconstitutional. If they want universal mail-in voting, they will have to change, not simply ignore, their constitution.

With winter and higher gas demand on the way, experts told Fortune that Europe’s energy market has never been more vulnerable. Even the slightest uptick in energy demand anywhere in the world could push entire sectors of Europe’s manufacturing industry to shut down entirely, devastating European economies with a wave of unemployment, high prices, and in all likelihood public unrest and divisions between European nations.”

California Teen Charged With Murder Over Fentanyl Overdose Death

by Charlotte Pence Bond
Gpscruise

my dying mom had a fentanol patch. It wasn't effective, only morphine was. Knowing that, I see no reason to NEED fentanol. Send a scud missle to destroy the factory in china that makes most of it.

A California teenager has been charged with murder for allegedly dealing fentanyl drugs to another teen which led to an overdose fatality.

Eighteen-year-old Alfred Urrea issued a non-guilty plea and is being held on a $1 million bail with a pre-preliminary hearing set for Tuesday. Adrian Alloway, another 18 year old, passed away from a fentanyl overdose at the end of August.

This is the second time San Bernardino County authorities have brought murder charges due to a fentanyl poisoning.

“In cases such as this, where murder is alleged, we believe we can prove beyond a reasonable doubt the dealer knowingly understood the dangers of fentanyl, and still chose profits over human life when supplying drugs to the victim,” District Attorney Jason Anderson said.

Fentanyl is a growing problem, especially among young people across the country.

In California, a 15-year-old girl died after taking a drug she thought was Percocet, but had fentanyl in it, leading to a manslaughter charge for another teen. A 14-year-old Californian also passed away this month following an overdose from drugs contaminated with fentanyl.

“This is a scourge and an epidemic that is going on across the country,” Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said after the 15-year-old’s death. “It is unacceptable, but it is even more unacceptable when it impacts the youth of our community. There is no excuse for that nor is there tolerance for that.”

This month, the California Department of Public Health Director and State Public Health Officer Tomás J. Aragón, released a warning over “brightly-colored fentanyl (referred to as rainbow fentanyl).”

Aragón’s release noted that opioid-related overdose fatalities in Californians ages 10-19 went up 407% from 2018 to 2020, and was “largely driven by fentanyl.” Fentanyl-related overdose fatalities among the same demographic went up 625% from 2018 to 2020.

Schools have responded, with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) providing naloxone, an opioid overdose reversal medication, to its schools. The move impacts almost 1,400 schools — from elementary to high school. School law enforcement officers will also be provided with the reversal medication. The action came after nine teenagers in the district recently overdosed.

“Research shows that the availability of naloxone along with overdose education is effective at decreasing overdoses and death and will save lives,” LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho said in a statement last week. “We will do everything in our power to ensure that not another student in our community is a victim to the growing opioid epidemic. Keeping students safe and healthy remains our highest priority.”

Country singer Luke Bell recently passed away from a fentanyl overdose, as well.

Jordan Peterson Chokes Up During Piers Morgan Interview: ‘I Thought The Marginalized Were Supposed To Have A Voice’

by Virginia Kruta
Gpscruise

Olivia Wild or whoever is just jealous. Hatred comes from jealousy.

Renowned psychologist Jordan Peterson choked up during a recent interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan as he questioned why he is often vilified for trying to give a voice to the marginalized.

In an appearance on “Piers Morgan: Uncensored” that aired Tuesday, the pair discussed a range of topics including Olivia Wilde’s film, “Don’t Worry Darling,” and her claim that she had modeled the movie’s villain after Peterson.

WATCH:

“I want to ask you this quickly, the film director Olivia Wilde has a new movie out, which she says is based on you, this ‘insane man, a pseudo-intellectual hero to the incel community,’ incel being these weirdo, loner men who are despicable in many ways,” Morgan began. “Is that you? Are you the intellectual hero to these people?”

“Sure, why not?” Peterson said in measured tones after a long pause. “People have been after me for a long time because I’ve been speaking to disaffected young men. You know, what a terrible thing to do that is.”

Peterson choked up then, his voice breaking slightly as he added, “I thought the marginalized were supposed to have a voice?”

“It’s making you emotional, to talk about it,” Morgan observed.

“Well, God, you know, it’s very difficult to understand how demoralized people are, and certainly many young men are in that category,” Peterson said. “And you get these casual insults, ‘these incels,’ what does it mean? It’s like, well, these men, they don’t know how to make themselves attractive to women — who are very picky, and good for them. That’s your gift, man. Women, be picky. Demand high standards from your men. Fair enough.

“But all these men who are alienated, it’s like, they’re lonesome and they don’t know what to do, and everyone piles abuse on them,” Peterson added.

Morgan asked again whether the insult from Wilde — the fact that she had based a movie villain on him — had “stung.” Peterson dismissed it as “low-level,” as insults go.

“Once I got painted as RedSkull, you know, magical super-Nazi,” Peterson said, referring to a Captain America issue in which the act-villain was a clear parody of Peterson. “That was kind of the end of the insults, there’s no place past that.”

He went on to say that after seeing the preview for Wilde’s film, he actually thought he might like to see it.

“Perhaps I will,” he laughed.

Morgan then backtracked a bit, saying, “You’ve been so controlled today, yet in that brief moment you got very emotional: why?”

“It’s really something to see, constantly, how many people are dying for lack of an encouraging word,” Peterson replied.

Peterson, who recently began a multi-year partnership with DailyWire+, also announced a limited-series podcast aimed at young men titled, “Dragons, Monsters, & Men.”

‘500-Year Event’: Hurricane Ian Leaves Devastating Wake As Florida Death Toll Rises, Millions Lack Power

by Greg Wilson
Gpscruise

andrew in 1992 was a category 5.

The full measure of Hurricane Ian‘s coast-to-coast trail of death and devastation in Florida was revealed as dawn broke Friday, including at least 19 deaths, countless homes washed out to sea, and millions without power in what may go down as the most devastating natural disaster in Sunshine State history.

Some 42,000 workers were scrambling Friday to restore power to as many as 2.6 million businesses and homes. The death toll is expected to rise as emergency management personnel survey Gulf Coast communities including Lee and Charlotte counties, which absorbed the brunt of the powerful storm.

“This is going to be a storm we talk about for years to come,” National Weather Service Director Ken Graham said.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who called the hurricane a “500-year event,” said Thursday night that he personally surveyed damage in Charlotte County and Lee County and came away stunned.

“Some of the damage was indescribable,” DeSantis said. “The most significant damage I saw was on Fort Myers Beach. Some of the homes were wiped out, some were just concrete slabs.”

Some 200 people have been rescued by the Fort Myers Fire Department, according to Mayor Kevin Anderson, who said there were no known fatalities in his city so far. In Lee County, more than 1,000 patients were evacuated from hospitals after the water supply was cut off, and more evacuations were taking place in nursing homes and even prisons.

Islands off the Gulf Coast were left isolated after bridges and causeways were damaged or washed away entirely. At least two people were killed on Sanibel island, and Chip Farrar, who lives on the island of Matlacha, told CNN it was completely cut off from the mainland.

A general view from the site after Hurricane Ian left Florida on Thursday following making landfall as a devastating Category 4 hurricane, on September 29, 2022 in Florida, United States. Widespread catastrophic damage has been left in much of southwestern Florida as 2.6 million people continue to lack power and thousands remain stranded.

Some early estimates have put damage to the Tampa area alone at $16 billion. The Category 4 hurricane was especially devastating because of its unusually large, 35-mile wide eye and the amount of rainfall it brought, measured at over 14 inches in one 12-hour span. The torrential rains and contributed to historic flooding in creeks and rivers in central and northern Florida.

Experts said Ian will go down as one of the strongest storms in Florida history. Colorado State University meteorologist and hurricane expert Philip Klotzbach said the only hurricanes that struck the mainland directly and were more powerful were Michael in 2018, Andrew in 1992 and the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935.

Ian blew out into the Atlantic, only to regroup as a Category 1 storm with 85-mph winds and begin barreling toward the South Carolina coast early Friday. A hurricane warning was issued from the Savannah River at the Georgia-South Carolina state line to Cape Fear, North Carolina.

Officials expect it to make landfall Friday afternoon between Charleston and Myrtle Beach, bringing storm surges of up to seven feet and as much as a foot of rain.

“This is a dangerous storm that will bring high winds and a lot of water,” South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster tweeted. “Be smart, make good decisions, check on your loved ones, and stay safe.”

Biden Regime Approves Plan for All 50 States to Install EV Charging Stations Covering 75,000 Miles of Highway

by Jim Hoft
Gpscruise

i like how she is holding it in place (just in case the coulombs want to leak).

On Tuesday, the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) announced that the Biden regime had given its approval for the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles along approximately 75,000 miles of highways in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico… to combat climate change.

“The Biden-Harris Administration today announced it has approved Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plans for all 50 States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico ahead of schedule under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program, established and funded by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law,” DOT said in a statement.

As part of the ‘bipartisan’ infrastructure deal passed earlier this year, the Biden regime provided $5 billion to 50 states to fund electric vehicle chargers along interstates over a five-year period.

“President Biden’s commitment to making electric vehicles and EV charging accessible to all Americans is critical to fighting the climate crisis and is generating an electric vehicle manufacturing boom across the country,” according to the news release.

“America led the original automotive revolution in the last century, and today, thanks to the historic resources in the President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we’re poised to lead in the 21st century with electric vehicles,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

“We have approved plans for all 50 States, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia to help ensure that Americans in every part of the country – from the largest cities to the most rural communities—can be positioned to unlock the savings and benefits of electric vehicles,” he added.

More from Fox News:

The Transportation Department said it had OK’d EV charger plans from a last set of 17 states, triggering the release of $1.5 billion in federal funds to all jurisdictions nationwide — or $5 billion over five years — to install or upgrade chargers along 75,000 miles (120,000 kilometers) of highway from coast to coast, with a goal of 500,000 EV chargers nationwide. Plans for the other 33 states and the District of Columbia were approved earlier this month.

By year’s end, drivers could start seeing expansions and upgrades to existing highway EV stations in states such as California, Colorado, Florida and Pennsylvania that now feature at least four fast-charger ports, enabling EVs to fully recharge in about an hour.

Construction of new EV charging locations could begin by next spring.

The approval is a major step toward building widespread acceptance and use of electric vehicles among consumers, who most often express hesitancy over EVs’ shorter range and limited availability of public chargers. President Joe Biden has set a goal that 50% of new U.S. car sales be electric by 2030, and his administration touts new tax credits next year of up to $7,500 as making electric vehicles accessible for everyday Americans. Still, the five-year plans suggest a potentially long and bumpy road ahead for a highway EV network, with states citing risks such as a lack of electricity grid capacity, supply chain shortages and equity concerns.

Russell Brand says YouTube censored his popular channel over his discussions about COVID-19 — so he is now moving to their competitor Rumble.

Brand called out the tech giant for censoring individuals for getting COVID information wrong, despite the mainstream media doing the same thing without being censored.

“We have been officially censored by YouTube,” Brand said in a video posted to his Twitter account. “They took down one of our videos for misinformation, but why are big media organizations not censored for misinformation in the same way? Is it because YouTube are part of the mainstream media now?”

Brand also posted a longer video to YouTube explaining what happened and why he believes YouTube is now part of the mainstream media.

Brand added, “We made an apology video, we’ve taken that down as well, YouTube took down our original video, we’ve taken down the apology video because in case we reiterate the claim while apologizing for it.”

In a big win for platforms that support free speech, Brand said that he is now moving his show exclusively to Rumble — a YouTube alternative that has been popular with conservatives that are censored on other platforms.

Brand will now be streaming on Rumble every weekday at noon EST.

Lizzo Plays James Madison’s Flute Loaned to Her By Library Of Congress, ‘B-tch, I Just Twerked and Played James Madison’s Flute’

by Cassandra Fairbanks

who is the think tank for "hmmm, how can we piss off MAGA today"... We have patience. We will get even, legally, totally.

Lizzo has become the only person to ever be allowed to play the flute owned by James Madison, which was loaned to her by the Library of Congress.

The 200-year-old old crystal flute, which is considered a national treasure, was escorted to the crass performer’s DC concert by the Capitol Police.

“Bitch, I just twerked and played James Madison’s flute from the 1800s!” Lizzo told the crowd after playing it. “We just made history tonight.”

In a tweet with a video of her playing the flute, Lizzo wrote that “NOBODY HAS EVER HEARD THIS FAMOUS CRYSTAL FLUTE BEFORE.” She added, “NOW YOU HAVE,” and boasted about being the only one allowed to play it.

Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress, had invited Lizzo to play it in a tweet earlier this month.

Hayden wrote, “we would love for you to come see it and even play a couple when you are in DC next week. Like your song they are ‘Good as hell.'”

The Libary of Congress tweeted that Lizzo visited earlier this week and also played other famous flutes from their collection.

“You didn’t think @lizzo played that antique flute on stage without practicing first, did you? She visited the Library Monday & played several of the flutes in our collection, which is the largest in the world,” the tweet said.

“A flute @lizzo played in the Main Reading Room Monday (with permission from some lucky researchers who were there!) looks similar to the crystal one she had at her concert, but is actually plexiglass. It is also very rare & was manufactured when the material was first invented,” a subsequent tweet said, with a video of her playing the instrument.

Addressing concerns about potential damage to the flute, the Library of Congress tweeted, “For those concerned about the flute: Music Division curators made sure it could be played without damage. This sort of thing is not all that unusual, in fact. Some of the Library’s priceless instruments were donated with the stipulation that they remain functional & be played.”

Trump Offers to Step in and Mediate a Peace Deal Between Russia, Ukraine and the US

by Cassandra Fairbanks

I fuckin love this guy

Former President Donald Trump has offered to step in and mediate a peace deal between Russia, Ukraine, and the US.

His offer came shortly before he posted Joe Biden’s previous statements about “ending” the Nord Stream pipeline, and warned once again that he may be leading the nation right into World War III.

Trump volunteered to “head up” a group to make peace in a post on Truth Social on Wednesday.

“U.S. ‘Leadership’ should remain ‘cool, calm, and dry’ on the SABOTAGE of the Nord Stream Pipelines,” Trump began. “This is a big event that should not entail a big solution, at least not yet.”

“The Russia/Ukraine catastrophe should NEVER have happened, and would definitely not have happened if I were President,” the former president continued. “Do not make matters worse with the pipeline blowup. Be strategic, be smart (brilliant!), get a negotiated deal done NOW. Both sides need and want it. The entire World is at stake. I will head up group???”

Shortly after posting his offer, Trump shared a video of Biden threatening Nord Stream in February.

Speaking during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in February, Biden said, “If Russia invades… again, then there will be longer Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.”

When asked how he would do that, he said, “I promise you we will be able to do it.”

Trump shared the clip on Wednesday, adding the comment, “Wow, what a statement. World War III anyone?”

ANALYSIS: Nord Stream Pipelines Sabotaged, and Only One Country Benefits

by Jim Hoft
Gpscruise

so the world thinks we did it??

Aerial view of blown Nord Stream pipeline near Bornholm Island.

Guest post by Bill Hennessy

Three deep-water explosions destroyed the Nord Stream pipelines under the Baltic Sea on Monday. While the MSM and governments reported “leaks” in the pipelines following sudden pressure drops to zero, Swedish seismologists knew better.

One of the three explosions measures 2.3 on the Richter Scale of earthquake intensity, but this was no earthquake. It was explosion—like a gigantic undersea mine. Via Reuters:

Bjorn Lund, seismologist at the Swedish National Seismic Network at Uppsala University, said seismic data gathered by him and Nordic colleagues showed that the explosions took place in the water and not in the rock under the seabed.

The explosions guarantee Germany and the EU won’t go wobbly with regard to sanctions against Russian energy imports. The damage to pipelines will take months repair, and repairs are unlikely to begin until next summer. Even if Germany were to cry “uncle” as civil unrest intensifies over lack of heat and energy, even if Russia decided to turn the power back on, the conduit for Russian gas to Europe is broken.

TASS reports details of the explosions:

The first explosion was recorded at about two o’clock in the morning on Monday, the second at 07:04 p.m. on the same day. Gas leak warnings were issued on Monday at 01:52 p.m. and 08:41 p.m. respectively. Vessels passing through the area reportedly notified the Coast Guard of the seething on the sea surface. Lund argues that there are usually no military exercises in the area of the incident, which could theoretically cause damage to the pipelines.

No military exercises in the area on Monday, but there were military exercises in the area recently enough. We will look into those exercises in a bit.

So, Nord Stream is dead, and the question becomes “whodunnit?”

Means, Motive, and Opportunity

To fix a crime on a suspect, police try to establish means, motive, and opportunity. If the victim was shot in his home with no signs of force entry or struggle, the suspects will be people known to the victim who had access to the murder weapon and reason to kill him. Take away any one element—means (gun), motive (gain), or opportunity (access)—and the case falls apart.

If we bounce all three elements against the reasonable suspects, one suspect stands out.

Means eliminates most suspects. Only a government with an advanced naval warfare capability could have executed the sabotage. That limits the suspects to Germany, Great Britain, France, the United States, Russia, and China.

But means also involves proximity. Chinese or French naval activities in the area would have raised flags. Geography would seem to preclude the United States except for the fact the US Navy operates in every ocean in the world with advanced war fighting capabilities. So the list of suspects with the means to destroy Nord Stream is down to the UK, US, Russia, and Germany.

So, we shift to motive.

Germany has no motive to damage its energy lifeline. Germany is highly dependent on Russian natural gas. Entire German industries are being nationalized because of the lack of energy due to sanctions against Russia and Russia reducing flow through the pipelines. Germans held massive protests over the weekend demanding Germany pull out of the anti-Russian alliance in exchange for a return of energy.

Great Britain has also suffered under the sanctions imposed after Russia invaded Ukraine in February. The British economy is in shambles, forcing the UK’s central bank to pivot back to quantitative easing. Additionally, the new government in the UK has its hands full with forming a government. It is unlikely the Brits would attempt such a caper.

Russia seems to have a motive: inflict long-term pain on Europe for sending lethal arms to Ukraine. But Russia didn’t need to blow up the pipelines. Russia controls the valves that send or halt gas flow to Europe, and she’s already turned off the spigot. Russia paid for a portion of the pipeline and expects to resume profitable energy exports to Europe once the war with Ukraine settles. Why would Russia cut off its own nose?

That leaves the United States. So what are its motives?

First, the US became the number one exporter of liquified natural gas to Europe once Russia cut off the flow. German dependence on US LNG is a carrot to keep German in the sanction alliance. With winter approaching and German unrest on the rise, the State Department would have been concerned the Germans would go wobbly, reduce sanctions, cut off arms to Ukraine, and beg Putin for energy. The loss of the Nord Stream pipelines eliminates that path to renewed gas imports to Germany.

Second, the Biden family has long been tangled up in natural gas and Ukraine. Hunter Biden was on the board of Ukraine’s largest natural gas company—a position that provided Ukrainian oligarchs with access to Joe Biden. Hunter, who has no experience in energy, made millions from the deal, and Ukraine got a bought-and-paid-for President of the United States.

Third, the Democrat Biden needs to stanch the popularity bleeding that threatens to kill Democrat control of Congress come November.

So, only the United States has a compelling reason to destroy Europe’s energy lifeline from Russia. Only the United States has both the means and the motive.

But what about opportunity?

Operation BALTOPS 22: June 2022

Seapower magazine—the official magazine of the Navy League—reported in June on a US exercise in the Baltic Sea, directly over the spots where two massive, undersea explosions took out the Nord Stream pipeline.

Seapower’s story highlights new technology allowing the Navy to detonate targets from miles away.

An additional critical objective was to continue to increase the communication range and data transfer capability to give the operators more flexibility in mine hunting operations. Advancements in communication technology, demonstrated this year, have shown a significant improvement in operating ranges over currently used systems. This provides additional standoff flexibility to the U.S. Navy in conducting safe mine hunting operations.

In other words, the Navy had the opportunity to plant explosives on the pipes in June for remote detonation at the time of the President’s choosing.

And the world’s largest amphibious ship, the USS Kearsarge, was recently in the area:

And only the United States had this opportunity.

Also in June, as Operation BALTOPS 22 was underway, the CIA, allegedly, warned Germany that sabotage to the pipelines was imminent:

What’s more, Biden and other administration officials have signaled a willingness to use the pipelines as a means of war. Joe Biden threatened to end Nord Stream if Russia invaded.

Guess Who Threatened to Take the Russian Nord Stream Pipelines Offline Before They Were Sabotaged This Week?

That Leaves One

Only the United States had all three elements of a crime: means, motive, and opportunity.

But possessing all three elements of a crime does not make one guilty. In addition to means, motive, and opportunity, the guilty party must also have the moral degeneracy to perpetrate the crime. Everyone who carries a gun has the means, motive, and opportunity to shoot someone at some point, but almost no legal gun owners ever commit the crime. Why?

Because most of us have moral consciences formed well enough to stop us from acting on impulse. We are, as Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence, willing to suffer many abuses before pulling the trigger.

So we must ask: does this United States administration have the impulse control to resist using its massive military capabilities? Or is the administration full of people who would shoot someone over mere irritation?

To answer that, think about the FBI storming the home of a pro-life minister, robbing safe deposit boxes after lying to a judge to obtain a warrant, raiding the home of the current president’s primary opponent in the next election, or threatening pro-life pregnancy counselors in Minnesota.

Think, also, about the administration’s push to castrate little boys and cut the breasts off of little girls for the crimes of being too feminine or too masculine. Think about the United States’ fascination with drag shows for children in which a 5-year-old girl massages the penis of a drag queen on stage to arouse her parents’ prurient interests. As The Gateway Pundit reported recently:

BEYOND SICK! Drag Queen Dances While Little Girl Repeatedly Rubs Her Hand Up and Down the Crotch of “Little Mermaid” Costume While Another Drag Queen Spreads Legs Wide Open On Stage For Toddlers [VIDEO]

Is the United States capable of committing a high crime on the Baltic Sea?

Of course it is.

The United States under Joe Biden has no moral compass. It is a rudderless and deranged vessel sailing toward base pleasure using power and violence as its only justification for actions.

While we don’t know for sure whether the United States blew up the pipeline, we do know for sure the United States has the means, motive, opportunity, and moral deficit necessary to drive the world to the edge of armageddon in pursuit of power for its elites. And a former Polish Minister of Defense and current member of the European Parliament was quick to affix the blame (or credit) for the explosion:

Stay tuned. Nord Stream could be the biggest story of our lifetime.

iRobot Crams Mop and Vacuum Into Newest Roomba

by Evan Ackerman

does it have a microphone?

Robots tend to do best when you optimize them for a single, specific task. This is especially true for home robots, which need to be low cost(ish) as well as robust enough to be effective in whatever home they find themselves in. iRobot has had this formula pretty well nailed down with its family of vacuuming robots for nearly two decades, but they’ve also had another family of floor care robots that have been somewhat neglected recently: mopping robots.

Today, iRobot is announcing the US $1,100 Roomba Combo j7+, which stuffs both a dry vacuum and a wet mop into the body of a Roomba j7. While very much not the first or only combo floor-cleaning robot on the market, the Combo j7+ uses a unique and very satisfying mechanical system to make sure that your carpets stay clean and dry while giving your hard floors the moist buffing that they so desperately need.

While iRobot is now best known for its vacuums, a decade ago Scooba floor cleaning robots were right up there with Roombas as a focus for the company, featuring tanks for cleaning solution and dirty water and combining vacuuming and scrubbing for non-carpeted floors. They were impressive robots, but they were quite expensive and relatively labor-intensive for users, since you needed to fill and empty them with every cycle.

iRobot eventually phased out the Scooba for the Braava, which used mopping pads instead of a vacuuming system and was way cheaper. But Braavas aren’t vacuums, meaning that they work best when the floor that they’re supposed to clean is vacuumed first. You can coordinate a Braava with a Roomba to do exactly that, but it’s perhaps not the most elegant way of doing things, even if it does allow you to keep your robots well-optimized for single tasks. And the Braava is showing its age, without any of the clever sensing that the newest Roombas use to intelligently navigate around your home and life.

The Combo j7+ essentially combines the mopping capabilities of a Braava with the vacuuming smarts of a Roomba j7. Frankly, I have no idea why iRobot didn’t name this thing something a bit more distinctive, because the regular j7 Roomba still exists, and the “+” simply refers to the fact that it comes with a self-emptying Clean Base. The “Combo j7+”, meanwhile, has completely different hardware taking up the back half of the robot, and isn’t (as the name sort of implies) a regular j7 with an add-on or something like that. Anyway, for brevity, I’m just going to call this new combo Roomba the j7C until iRobot comes up with something better.

Now, the j7C is absolutely not the first mop/vacuum robot out there, but the way most others tackle the transition from hard floors (mop appropriate) and carpet (not mop appropriate) is to raise the mopping attachment up into the body of the robot a couple of millimeters when on carpet to keep the mop from dragging across the carpet and making it wet and gross. This is certainly better than not lifting the mop up at all, but iRobot says that it still “paints” wet drippy drops all over the place. Not ideal.

“Why would someone sell a carpet-painting robot that applies mud to your carpet in a systematic fashion? It’s a fundamentally flawed concept that doesn’t work. iRobot, being who we are, said “here’s an impossible challenge, let’s go do it because it should be fun.”
—Colin Angle, iRobot CEO

iRobot’s solution is, honestly, more complex than I would have thought to be practical for a Roomba—the mop pad is attached to the robot through two actuated metal arms, which can move the entire thing from the bottom of the robot to the top, placing the body of the robot in between any droppy drips and the carpet:

Animated gif showing operation of mopping pad, moving on arms from beneath the robot to above

Cool, right? There are belt drives in there to move the arms, making sure that the motion is both smooth enough and powerful enough to exert adequate pressure on the floor when the pad is under the robot. And if you look closely, you’ll see the skins on the sides of the robot open out slightly to give the arms space to move up and down.

The j7C vacuums and mops in one single pass. On hard floors, water (or cleaning solution) is continuously sprayed underneath the robot from ports just behind the vacuuming system, and the mopping pad wipes it right up. When the robot detects carpet (which it does through ultrasonic sensors, not visually like the animation suggests), it pauses to lift the pad up, and then vacuums the carpet just like a regular j7 Roomba. You can remove and clean the pad of course, which is made easier to do since you don’t have to get under the robot to do it.

Underneath view of the robot, showing the cleaning system of rolling rubber brushes and a mopping pad behind them Just aft of the brushes, three black nozzles dispense water in advance of the mopping pad. iRobot

Since all of this happens in the same footprint as the original j7, there are some compromises to make room for the mopping system. This mostly happens with the bin, which now accommodates a water reservoir, taking up some of the space where you’d otherwise find dirt. It’s not a huge deal, though, because Roombas with the automatic Clean Base (including the j7C) will empty their own bins when they get full and then resume vacuuming where they left off. So, that may happen an extra time or two during the j7C’s cleaning cycle, but it’s not something the user has to worry about.

What the user does have to worry about, unfortunately, is the water reservoir. You access it by removing the j7C’s bin, and then you can fill the reservoir at a sink. One fill is enough for a thousand square feet of coverage on eco-mode, and there’s also normal mode and a double-pass mode that you can select in the app for dirtier floors.

This water-filling process is easy, but it’s a user-dependent step, which sadly breaks the magic of the automatic dirt-emptying Roombas where you basically don’t have to think about them for weeks at a time. Water isn’t required, at least, and if the robot detects an empty reservoir, it’ll just default to vacuuming everything instead of mopping. Other companies have approached this problem with docks that include water reservoirs able to automatically refill a robot multiple times, and I have some faith that iRobot is already working on a way of doing this more elegantly.

Personally, I’m hoping for a water shuttle robot: some little bot with a small tank that zips back and forth between the dock and, say, a water dispenser hooked into the toilet fill line in your bathroom to provide refills on demand.

Q&A With iRobot CEO Colin Angle

We asked iRobot CEO Colin Angle to explain why the company feels that this is the right approach to a hybrid mopping and vacuuming robot, and how the heck it came up with this system in the first place.

One of the greatest things about the Roomba is that it does one thing very well. Often with robots, trying to make more of a generalist robot results in significant compromises. What made you decide to shift from dedicated vacuuming and mopping robots, to one robot that does both tasks?

Angle: The short answer is that we finally figured out how to do it. We’re not the first company with a two-in-one robot on the market. What took us so long? Well, it took us this long to solve the problem.

There’s a very interesting history of mopping robots at iRobot, where we had the Scooba that put down water, scrubbed, and vacuumed the water up again. And then we started getting into mopping pads with the Scooba 230 and the Braava. Although we had a lot of skepticism about the idea of capturing the water and dirt in the pad and we didn’t know how to do it at the beginning, it proved to be a very successful strategy. Then the question was, could we figure out a mechanism that would allow edge-to-edge cleaning with a mop on a Roomba platform?

Our early attempts were not successful, and that purist view of keeping the vacuuming and mopping robots separate held for a long time, but we recognized that the convenience of true on-the-fly switching would be a real and tangible customer benefit and would allow us to save on costs because we wouldn’t be duplicating much of the hardware across two separate robots.”

So how did you end up at the solution of moving the mopping pad all the way from the bottom of the robot to the top?

Angle: It’s certainly not where we went at first! In the annals of iRobot history are dozens of flawed ideas around how we could do this, actually dating back to some of the original designs for the original Roomba, because it was always something we’d been thinking about. The idea of having something on the bottom and pulling a plastic screen over the mopping pad got real consideration, but there are some bad failure modes there.

The guy who came up with this is one of our principal engineers, who has been with iRobot maybe the longest besides me at this point. I convinced him to join the company from [the Jet Propulsion Laboratory]. He’s the one who said, “Well, why don’t we just use a belt drive and arms?” and everyone looked at him like, “Are you insane?” And so he built it, and proved to us that it could work, which is his normal way of convincing us that he’s right and we’re wrong. And it’s brilliant! It sounds like a crazy approach to solving the problem, but when you see it, it makes sense.

iRobot is also announcing some hefty software updates in the form of iRobot OS 5.0. The j7 Roombas have front-facing cameras that are able to do all sorts of things, and last we checked, that included identifying and avoiding four different classes of floor-dwelling objects. iRobot OS 5.0 brings that number up to 80 [!], and obstacles now trigger different behaviors besides avoidance.

Litter boxes and pet bowls, for example, can be given special attention because they tend to be dirtier areas. Same with toilets, dishwashers, and ovens. With a voice assistant, you can now also yell at your robot to skip the room that you’re in, and it’ll come back to it later, which is great for those of us who feel like our robots actively seek us out whenever they have cleaning to do.

The robot mopping a hardwood floor with scattered cat toys around it and a cat in the background iRobot

iRobot told us that its j7 vacuums have received the TÜV SÜD Cyber Security Mark, a stringent third-party endorsement of iRobot’s security practices, meaning that iRobot has invested heavily in making sure that the data that it has in its possession is kept safe from external hackers. This is good, for sure, but frankly I don’t get the sense that folks are nearly as worried about their data getting stolen from iRobot by hackers as they are about their data getting intentionally leveraged by iRobot (or iRobot’s future owner) in a way that is contrary to users’ interests, although iRobot has promised that it will never sell your data to other companies.

Until we have a better idea of what exactly is happening with the Amazon merger, it’s probably best to remain cautious. We did ask Colin Angle what the options are if you want to keep your data completely private while still using your Roomba, and here’s what he told us:

“It depends on what your comfort level is. You don’t have to turn on mapping, and you certainly don’t have to ever store or share any image from your home. If you want to clean by room, we need to remember where your rooms are. We’re going to remember them as polygonal objects—we’re not going to have any idea what they look like. We are really trying to make sure that we only store that data that the robot actually needs to do the job. If you don’t want to clean by room or build a map, you can still have the robot operate and switch between modes and benefit from the avoidance technologies and do the right things. But there are different levels that will hopefully satisfy most different levels of concern.”

We also learned that iRobot’s top-of-the-line s9, which features a decidedly non-Roomba like square front plus a 3D sensor, is not the direction that iRobot will be moving in. Historically, iRobot has released premium Roombas like the s9, and then the tech in them trickles down into less expensive robots over time. But it sounds like the s9, while still iRobot’s most powerful vacuum, couldn’t justify its fancy and expensive sensor or nonround form factor to the extent that would be necessary to influence future generations of Roombas.

“This is all a journey,” Angle told us. “With the costs inherent in building the s9 robot, we felt like we could go another way and put more CPU power in and really adopt an architecture around computer vision that would be more flexible than the dense 3D point-cloud sensor in the s9. The technology is moving so fast on the visual understanding and machine learning side, that it’s a better long-term bet to get behind. 3D sensing will come back, but it may come back as depth from vision. And the square front has some advantages—speed of clean is a benefit, but improved mission completion [of round Roombas] is a bigger benefit. I think the architecture of the J series robot is the go-forward architecture.”

Top down picture of the robot on its clean base in a hallway iRobot

Angle acknowledges that the architecture of the J series, and of the j7C in particular, makes it a high-end robot, and you could buy a Roomba and a Braava together for much less money. But this is how iRobot does things—offering premium robots with new features and capabilities for high prices, and eventually we’ll see the costs come down in the form of more affordable generations of robot. “This is definitely an exciting path forward for us,” says Angle.

The iRobot Roomba Combo j7+ is available for preorder now for $1,099 in the United States, and will be available in Canada and Europe in early October.

he gives me hope.

Former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden has publicly commented about being granted Russian citizenship.

In a tweet about the situation, Snowden said that “after years of separation from our parents, my wife and I have no desire to be separated from our SONS.”

“After two years of waiting and nearly ten years of exile, a little stability will make a difference for my family. I pray for privacy for them—and for us all,” Snowden continued, including a photo of him, his wife, and two baby boys.

The whistleblower had quote tweeted his own tweet from November 2020 in which he announced that he was applying for Russian citizenship.

“After years of separation from our parents, my wife and I have no desire to be separated from our son. That’s why, in this era of pandemics and closed borders, we’re applying for dual US-Russian citizenship,” Snowden wrote in the 2020 tweet.

Snowden’s wife Lindsay Mills, an American, is also hoping for Russian citizenship.

The 39-year-old leaker was granted asylum in Russia in 2014 after leaking a trove of documents proving that the agency was spying on Americans to journalist Glenn Greenwald.

State Department spokesperson Ned Price responded to the news by saying that Snowden should return to the US to face espionage charges, according to a report from Fox News.

“I am familiar with the fact that he has in some ways denounced his American citizenship,” Price said. “I don’t know that he’s renounced it.”

Watch: Biden Slips Up and Finally Agrees with Republicans About Necessity of AR-15s

by George Upper, The Western Journal
Gpscruise

well said. BTW, last time I went to a football game at the Memphis Coliseum, all the cops had AR's. It was crazy. That was a few years back, but cops love them. I want to see them disarm first. Put a trigger in the bill that the first sight of COPS with AR's, the assault gun law is null and void.

It’s not often that I agree with our current president, but it does happen. Of course, most of those agreements happen when he says something by mistake, as he did Friday.

President Joe Biden conceded — accidentally, of course — an argument that pro-Second Amendment conservatives have been making for decades: So-called “assault weapons” defend American lives.

Biden made the comments Friday during a Democratic National Committee event at the National Education Association headquarters and, although it’s not always easy to understand what the president says when he speaks publicly, I’m pretty sure his handlers didn’t send him out to pose a rhetorical question and then answer it himself like this:

“What in God’s name do you need an assault weapon for? It’s an assault weapon designed to kill people, to defend America, to defend people.”

Right. To defend Americans. That’s what firearms — and our Second Amendment protections — exist to do.

Here’s what Biden told his appreciative audience — and if there’s any audience more appreciative of a leftist politician singing the same old leftist song than attendees of a DNC event at the NEA, I can’t imagine what it might be. (This may be tough to struggle through — there’s video below, if you’d prefer to struggle through that.)

“It’s time to pass the assault weapons ban. Look, I support the Second Amendment. I have two shotguns … the only thing I ever really do is target practice; I haven’t done that in a long time. But here’s the thing: There’s no justification for a weapon of war. None. The speed of that bullet is five times that [of what] comes out of the muzzle of most weapons. It can penetrate your vest. By the way, as I pointed out when I got it passed the first time as a senator, in Delaware, we’re a big gun-owning state. A lot of duck hunters, a lot of hunters. And I’d been going, and I literally went up and down the streams campaigning and going to the people who were part, who belonged to the NRA, and others. And I’d say, ‘How many, how many deer out here are wearing Kevlar vests? But I’m — seriously, think about it: What in God’s name do you need an assault weapon for? It’s an assault weapon designed to kill people, to defend America, to defend people.”

So many logical fallacies, so little time. But let’s see if we can unpack that.

First: As Western Journal readers undoubtedly know, there’s no such thing as an “assault weapon.” Or rather, every weapon is an assault weapon — weapons, by definition, are made for assault. The term is a bugaboo, designed to bring up images of a psychopathic Rambo (the one from the book, not Stallone’s troubled hero) mowing down innocent civilians with a super-weapon fired one-handed with uncanny accuracy.

Second: Scant evidence exists that the Federal Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 had any positive effect during the 10 years it was in force. Certainly, there is insufficient evidence to justify impinging on the God-given right to the defense of human life ensconced in the Second Amendment.

Third: Biden claims to own two shotguns, but says there’s “no justification for a weapon of war.” Apparently, our commander-in-chief is unfamiliar with the use of shotguns in war (my personal favorite being the Mossberg 590A1). Again, all weapons are, at least potentially, weapons of war; they wouldn’t be of much use otherwise.

Fourth: The “speed of the bullet” is determined by the ammunition used, not the rifle. A comparison of rifle ballistics (there’s a pretty handy reference here) shows that a typical .223 round fired by an AR-15 has a muzzle velocity roughly in keeping with the other rounds on this list. Sure, a .223 round is two to three (not five) times faster than the typical pistol round, but that’s comparing apples to oranges. Actually, it’s not even that close — more like apples to popcorn shrimp.

Fifth: According to CBS News, about 34.4 percent of Delaware’s residents own guns, putting Joe Biden’s home state 41st out of our 50 states in gun ownership. That, to Joe Biden, apparently constitutes a “big gun-owning state” — which should give you a pretty good idea of what the president thinks the percentage of gun ownership should be.

Sixth: Does anyone think — I mean, really think — that Joe Biden “literally went up and down the streams campaigning” for a bill that the citizens he represented couldn’t vote for directly and that he already supported and that, in fact, was so widely supported following the Waco fiasco that 95 out of 100 senators voted for it? Exactly what are we supposed to believe he was campaigning to get hunters to do?

Seventh: If we can get past that hurdle of believability, does anyone then think that Biden actually asked those hunters how many deer were wearing Kevlar vests? I don’t care how many times he claims to be “serious” about the issue, that claim is decidedly unserious.  How stupid does he think his voters are?

Don’t answer that.

Bonus: Just in case that was too lucid for you, the leader of the free world then added the following: “But folks, look: It just, we just, well we’re just, it’s way outta hand. I’ve taken on the RNA and I’ve beat them before and I plan on doing it again.”

Apparently, Joe Biden thinks he has defeated ribonucleic acid. Or maybe he was referring to the Religion Newswriters Association? The world may never know.

You can try to figure it out here:

What in God’s name do you need an assault weapon for? It’s funny that you should phrase it that way, Joe.

In God’s name, we need firearms to defend those made in God’s image — whether ourselves or those around us who are threatened by people who, themselves, have firearms. Or knives. Or pointed sticks.

No, we’d rather not take someone else’s God-given life to protect others or ourselves, but sometimes that’s the best option available to us in a fallen world. Sometimes it’s the only option.

In other words, we sometimes need firearms “to kill people, to defend America, to defend people,” as you so aptly stated, Mr. President.

May God grant that we never have to use them for that, and may God have mercy on us if we need to but are unprepared to do so.

Billionaire Salesforce CEO Threatens To Yank Company From Conservative States

by Hank Berrien
Gpscruise

everyone is bowing to Tim Cook wanting the end of remote-working. At FedEx where I work, our measured remote work was on par with in person, possibly even better. But alas since FedEx ships iPhones, our CEO Brea wants to show solidarity to Tim Cooks' no-remote policies.

Billionaire Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, who also owns TIME magazine, said that if conservative states don’t buckle to his vision of what constitutes “equality and dignity,” he’ll take his companies out of the states.

Speaking to Poppy Harlow of CNN on Friday, Benioff boasted of “making something happen that supports our employees,” adding, “The number one thing is we must have our employees’ back.”

Then he waxed political, with an apparent attempt to denigrate conservatives: “You know and I know we are dealing with a whole series of crazy presidents, crazy governors, crazy mayors all over the world in every country in every city in every state.”

“Marc, who is crazy?” Harlow pressed.

“I’m really talking about all of the situations that I’ve had to go through, over the last decade, especially where our employees will contact me and say something is just not right,” Benioff hinted.

Benioff and Harlow discussed what happened in 2o15, when Benioff threatened to pull Salesforce out of Indiana when the state had passed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, signed by then-governor of Indiana Mike Pence.

The day before Pence signed the bill, Benioff threatened to reduce his company’s investment in Indiana; after Pence signed the bill Benioff stated he would cancel Salesforce programs requiring customers or employees to travel to Indiana. The week after that, he publicly announced he would offer relocation packages to employees choosing to leave the state,

Pence would end up signing a revised version of the bill.

In September 2021, Salesforce told its Texas employees that if they were worried about Texas’ new anti-abortion law, the company would help them relocate.

Harlow asked if Benioff would pull his company from states that had outlawed abortion or passed stricter laws against it.

“We actually just said, if you are going to discriminate against our employees, we won’t be able to set up shop there,” Benioff bragged of 2015. “And when we said that, 200 other companies the next day, the largest companies in the United States all said, ‘We agree. We have to support our LGBTQ communities as well.’”

“Look, we have to be for equality, we have to be for dignity. We have to be for the equality and dignity of every human being. And if you’re not for equality and dignity, then this is not something I can work with and we’re gonna have to exit your city or your state, just as we have in many places.”

Parler promises 'freedom from censorship' amid Big Tech midterm preparations

the only way for me to believe that is if "it" becomes a non US company on not-US soil. Unfortunately that's the only way I will believe any censorship claim.

Parler promises 'freedom from censorship' amid Big Tech midterm preparations

Christopher Hutton

Parler says it will be a free speech hub in the midterm elections amid efforts by Big Tech companies to combat misinformation.

The alternative social network has postured itself as a "viewpoint-neutral, free speech" website. While many Big Tech companies have increased their efforts to combat the spread of false information related to the 2022 midterm elections, Parler has adopted a hands-off approach and allows users to post as they like.

Parler's team argues that the extra efforts from platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to manage what their users see do not reflect well on their users. "Maybe people on the other platforms have become intellectually lazy, where they have expected the platform to do their thinking for them," Amy Peikoff, Parler's chief policy officer, told the Washington Examiner. "[Users are] outsourcing their critical thinking to these platforms, to these employees in Silicon Valley. On Parler, we don't do that."

UBER LOOKS INTO ITS SYSTEMS AFTER TEENAGER CLAIMS TO HAVE BREACHED SITE

The company promised "freedom from censorship" in a press release announcing its election policies, emphasizing that it would allow all legal speech rather than suppressing content via algorithm.

While Parler intends to provide a news feed that will update users on developments in the 2022 midterm elections, it does not intend to hold the hands of users. At the most, "we might put out a PSA, just reminding people that we're unlike other platforms in that we actually expect them to do their own critical thinking and to remind them that just because it appears online doesn't mean it's true," Peikoff added.

Peikoff also emphasized that the platform will not intervene if a user posts false information there, but it will intervene if an account encourages violence, hate speech, or fraud. "We don't remove any content based on viewpoint or on the content of the view expressed unless you're talking about something that is inciteful in nature, violent in nature, fraudulent in nature, where it's actually a provable fraud," Peikoff said.

Parler does have policies that allow it to verify whether a user's claimed identity is authentic and has acted when others attempted to impersonate notable people. Peikoff mentioned a recent case in which Parler found an account impersonating an orthopedic surgeon and offering COVID-19-related telemedicine consultations. Once the account was reported, Parler reached out to the office of the actual doctor, informed them of the attempted impersonation, and banned the account after confirming it was not real.

Parler was removed from both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store in Jan. 2021 after posts from several people involved in the Jan. 6 riots were found on Parler by researchers. Parler was allowed back onto Apple in May 2021 after updating its content moderation policies, but it did not refile to be allowed back onto Android devices for several months. Parler delayed refiling because it knew it could provide the app to Android users via "sideloading," or having them download the app to their device directly from the company, rather than relying on a digital store such as Google Play, according to Peikoff.

CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER

In order to get accepted, the company had to amend its content moderation standards to account for offensive content. This included restricting certain forms of content appearing on the Android app, including sexually explicit or select political topics like the 2020 elections. If a post appears on the platform that breaches the Google Play Store's content moderation policy, Parler said that they would not remove it. Instead, they would make the post inaccessible on Android and tell users that they could access the content through the web version of Parler.

Parler's decision arrived after other social platforms announced that they were incorporating policies to handle misinformation. Google announced on Sept. 1 that it was implementing changes to its search results to reflect accurate election information better. Twitter announced on Aug. 11 that it was incorporating unique labels for candidates and releasing "pre-bunks" to combat potential misinformation. TikTok announced its election center on Aug. 17, which will help the video social platform track and monitor the promotion of political content. Meta also said that it was taking actions to stop any potential election or voter interference.

Now we’re cooking with oil. The United States Space Force revealed its official song on Tuesday, and it should rev the engines of any red-blooded American patriot.

Not only is it a great new tradition in our nation’s military history, but it also proves that critics of former President Donald Trump were embarrassingly wrong about his vision for the country — yet again.

The song, named after Space Force’s motto — “Semper Supra,” or “Always Above” — was revealed during the 2022 Air & Space Forces Association Air, Space and Cyber Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, according to a press release from the U.S. Air Force. Semper Supra was co-created by James Teachenor, a former member of the U.S. Air Force band at the Air Force Academy.

“The song was a long work in progress because I wanted it to encompass all the capabilities that the Space Force offers and its vision,” Teachenor said.

Chief of Space Operations General John “Jay” Raymond assisted in the development of the new battle hymn after former President Donald Trump created Space Force.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to establish a Space Force song that will be part of our culture and heritage for years to come,” Raymond said. “Our traditions are part of the fabric that weave us all together as we execute our missions side-by-side; I will be proud to sing ‘Semper Supra’ alongside my fellow Guardians.”

For cynics, it sounds silly, but stuff like this matters for the nation’s morale and self-esteem. Advancing the idea of American Exceptionalism is a noble one. It is important that we pass on to the next generation of Americans the notion that our country has done, can do, and will do great things that better mankind.

It is even better when those ideals are represented in institutions — such as with battle hymns for each nation’s military branch.

Beyond that, critics should remember that Trump was practically laughed out the door by Democrats, media, and Never Trumpers alike when he first suggested the very idea of Space Force. Then, he signed it into law. Netflix and Steve Carrell made a mediocre parody show about it. Even as it was working its way through the official process of becoming established, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki made a sarcastic remark about.

In February 2021, a reporter asked Psaki about the future Space Force, including whether President Joe Biden wanted to keep it.

“Wow. Space Force. It’s the plane of today,” Psaki responded arrogantly. “It is an interesting question. I am happy to check with our Space Force point of contact. I’m not sure who that is. I will find out and see if we have any update on that.”

In response, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL), the House Armed Services Committee’s top Republican, demanded that Psaki apologize for the remark.

“It’s concerning to see the Biden administration’s press secretary blatantly diminish an entire branch of our military as the punchline of a joke, which I’m sure China would find funny,” Rogers said at the time. “The Space Force was passed with near unanimous support in Congress, the same type of ‘unity’ President Biden is supposedly working towards. Jen Psaki needs to immediately apologize to the men and women of the Space Force for this disgraceful comment.”

Of course, Americans now know that that “unity” was a farce. Biden considers MAGA Republicans, or a large portion of the country, to be threats to democracy itself. In the end, though, Trump has the last laugh as Space Force not only exists today, but has its very own hymn to go with it.

The song can be heard here:

The official lyrics are as follows:

SEMPER SUPRA
The Official U.S. Space Force Song

We’re the mighty watchful eye,
 Guardians beyond the blue,
 The invisible front line,
 Warfighters brave and true.
 Boldly reaching into space,
There’s no limit to our sky.
Standing guard both night and day,
We’re the Space Force from on high.

Gays Against Groomers Permanently Deplatformed From PayPal and Venmo

by Margaret Flavin

Big Tech continues to carry water for their Democrat and communist overlords.

Gays Against Groomers (GAG) announced on Twitter that they were permanently suspended from payment processors Paypal and Venmo.

The companies claim that GAG violating their user agreements, but fail to say what specific part of the agreement the organization violated.

The group is against the sexualization of children.  For that they were banned by Paypal and Venmo.

Post Millenial shares:

Post Millenial caught up with Gays Against Groomers Founder Jaimee Michell, she gave the following statement, “PayPal and Venmo have made it abundantly clear that they support the sexualization and mutilation of children. This would never happen to an organization of LGBT people that fell in line with this evil agenda that has hijacked our community.”

The organization announced they are now DonorBox saying, “Hopefully they don’t prioritize child predators over the right for us to exist too.”

From GAG’s website::

Gays Against Groomers is a coalition of gay people  who oppose the recent trend of indoctrinating, sexualizing and medicalizing children under the guise of “LGBTQIA+”

Our community that once preached love and acceptance of others has been hijacked by radical activists who are now pushing extreme concepts onto society, specifically targeting children in recent years.

The overwhelming majority of gay people are against what the community has transformed into, and we do not accept the political movement pushing their agenda in our name.

Gays Against Groomers directly opposes the sexualization and indoctrination of children. This includes drag queen story hours, drag shows involving children, the transitioning and medicalization of minors, and gender theory being taught in the classroom.

The activists, backed by school boards, government, woke media, and corporations, have been speaking on our behalf for too long. When fighting for equality, our goal was to successfully integrate ourselves into society, but now these radicals aim to restructure it entirely in order to accommodate a fringe minority, as well as seek to indoctrinate children into their ideology.

The organization was temporarily suspended from Twitter in July.  Ari Hoffman interviewed GAG about the suspension.

PREDATOR CLASS REUNION: World Economic Forum Hosts Creepy ‘Climate Crisis’ Confab in NYC as Clinton Global Initiative and UN General Assembly Kicks Off Simultaneously Across Town

The WEF will surely be stolen by the next Hitler. If I lived near NYC, I would picket.

The World Economic Forum and the Clinton Foundation are hosting summits in New York City this week as the 77th annual  United Nations General Assembly convenes.

On Monday, the WEF commenced its “Sustainable Development Impact Meetings” where the organization’s leaders detail a plan to advance its Great Reset agenda and eradicate individual rights and national sovereignty.

The WEF is partnered with major financial and media institutions to execute its  “you will own nothing and you will be happy.”

A video that aired at the summit, featuring Al Gore and  BlackRock official Pamela Chan, showcases the WEF’s plan to mitigate the so-called “climate crisis.”

WATCH:

“The extreme weather events that the scientists have long connected to the climate crisis are becoming far more frequent and far more destructive,” Gore warns in the 56 minute video.  Although, this is mostly untrue.

“Younger generations are demanding a sense of purpose. They want to look at a company and say, ‘I am investing with you all for this reason,” Chan, a WEF Global Leader and Global Shaper, says in the video.

WEF President Klaus and the predator class intend to manufacture an emergency over the changing climate to justify the confiscation of property from individuals and nations

On Tuesday, the WEF is slated to host two panels during the conference featuring corporate media reporters. MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle will discuss the “Green Transition” and “the future of work panel.”

CNN Vice President Rachel Smolkin will host the other panel titled, “Tackling Disinformation.”

“Disinformation is not new. Examples of disinformation and so-called fake news campaigns are plentiful,” a teaser of the CNN presentation states. “But with increasing fears about the cost of living — exacerbated by the pandemic and the energy crisis — it is now more critical than ever to tackle disinformation head-on.”

This is rich, coming from a CNN official.

On Wednesday, WEF will feature presentations showcasing “Web3’s Climate Impact,” outlining how digital currency, blockchain technology and the “metaverse” will be impacted by the climate crisis the organization is planning to unleash.

Web3, a term coined by Ethereum co-founder Gavin Wood in 2014, refers to a “decentralized online ecosystem based on blockchain.”

Ethereum, a digital asset, was recently re-engineered into the foundation for a potential global Central Bank Digital Currency and is now the “WEF coin”, investigative journalist Jordan Schachtel reports.

“The people in charge of the Ethereum token, a popular digital asset previously marketed as a decentralized money, decided last night to finalize its transition into what amounts to WEF (World Economic Forum) coin, securing the network’s path on the road to state capture, and perhaps, the birth of the ruling class’s 1.0 version of a global Central Bank Digital Currency,” Schachtel notes.

The WEF’s Web3 panel will feature numerous crypto executives who will detail how to “support positive climate action.”

The international organization’s New York conference coincides with the 77th annual United Nations General Assembly meetings.

Joe Biden, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Liz Truss, and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi are among the heads of state expected to deliver remarks throughout the week.

From the WEF website:

Convening at the same time as the United Nations General Assembly, the Sustainable Development Impact Meetings will bring together communities of purpose that integrate business leaders, policy-makers, international and civil society organizations, innovators and entrepreneurs.

In a series of carefully curated impact-driven dialogues, these alliances will use the meetings to advance their work and make concrete progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to build momentum on other key milestones in the months ahead, including the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) and the Forum’s Annual Meeting in January 2023.

The Clinton Global Initiative is also convening for the first time in 6 years in New York from Sept – 20.
