Company Reveals It Will Lay Off Workers Through An ‘Anti-Racist’ Lens

by Ben Zeisloft
Gpscruise

google just grabbed all searches of "Federal Laws Discrimination" .... This was the bait

Twilio CEO Jeff Lawson announced on Wednesday that the technology firm would carry out a round of layoffs using an “anti-racist” and “anti-oppression” framework.

The publicly-traded company, which builds programmable communications tools, grew “at an astonishing rate” over the past several years, according to a letter from Lawson — a reality that necessitates a series of layoffs. As inflationary pressures and other economic bottlenecks propel the United States into a technical recession, other technology companies have likewise slowed hiring or decreased payrolls.

Lawson, however, informed his staff that Twilio is devoted to operating as an “anti-racist” company and that the layoffs were executed through an “Anti-Racist/Anti-Oppression lens,” because “layoffs like this can have a more pronounced impact on marginalized communities.”

“This was tremendously difficult. For those impacted today, we applied a rigorous selection process to examine which roles were most tightly aligned to our four priorities,” Lawson wrote.

The Daily Wire asked Twilio how many employees were dismissed under deliberations that weighed racial identity. A spokesperson for the company said that Lawson’s memo has all of the information that will be released publicly.

Other entities in the United States have adopted similar policies in layoff decisions. Last month, the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers agreed to a contract stipulating that non-white staff are considered a “population underrepresented among licensed teachers,” which allows for them to be fired after white colleagues — a decision the union later defended as a remedy for “the continuing effects of past discrimination.”

An exclusive report from The Daily Wire revealed a two-hour diversity training at asset management company Vanguard that pushed white male managers to accept “uncomfortable” criticism about their implicit biases. Leaked footage showed a diversity trainer suggesting that Vanguard should provide expectations for how managers “will and should be held accountable” for diversity goals — with one possible mechanism for such accountability occurring through the “performance management process … just like we do for business results.”

Prioritizing diversity among staff — even at the expense of optimizing merit — is an objective frequently pursued at companies that have subscribed to the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) movement, by which executives tend to mingle left-wing politics with operations within their mandates.

Earlier this year, however, an exclusive poll from The Daily Wire showed that American investors would prefer that companies commit solely to the pursuit of profits. Although 29% of respondents agreed it is a “good thing” for companies to leverage their financial power for political or social means supported by executives, 58% said it is a “bad thing.” The poll also found that most investors recognize ESG as promoting “more liberal positions” than conservative ones. While 50% believe the former and 16% believe the latter, only 21% believe that ESG investing is politically neutral.

In the public sector, President Joe Biden is pursuing a “total transformation of government” centered upon diversity, equity, and inclusion.

“I believe this nation and this government need to change their whole approach to the issue of racial equity,” the commander-in-chief said during a speech days after his inauguration. “We need to open the promise of America to every American. And that means we need to make the issue of racial equity not just an issue for any one department of government; it has to be the business of the whole of government. … Every agency will be involved in this work because advancing equity has to be everyone’s job.”

Forgetting 9/11

by Ben Shapiro
Gpscruise

i have serious thoughts that the US setup 911 and made usama bin ladden the fallguy. Listen to Toresays.com Sept 11, 2022 audiocast.

On the twenty-first anniversary of September 11, President Joe Biden repeated the same tired nostrums we have heard for the past several years on the anniversary of the worst terror attack in American history: “We will never forget, we will never give up. Our commitment to preventing another attack on the United States is without end.”

That, of course, was rather ironic coming from the president who surrendered Afghanistan to the Taliban, the very people in charge of the country when Al Qaeda launched its attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. It was President Biden who declared his own heroism as her ushered in the revitalization of Al Qaeda itself in Afghanistan; as The Washington Post noted in August, “After the attacks of September 11, 2001, the US goal was to deny al-Qaeda a haven in Afghanistan. Now, it is back – and seemingly safe.”

But none of this should be unexpected. Whatever lessons Americans learned on 9/11 have largely been forgotten one generation later.

On 9/11, we learned that the world is smaller than we think – that retreating from the world is not an option, and that if we do so, our enemies take advantage. One generation later, both parties encourage quasi-isolationist foreign policy reminiscent of the Clinton era, in which terrorism was treated as a law enforcement problem and the United States attempted to cut its presence abroad.

On 9/11, we learned that perceived weakness in any form – economic, military, or ideological – invites aggression from our enemies. One generation later, we are deliberately destroying our own energy policy, focusing on expanded and fiscally irresponsible welfare statism, cutting our military capacity, and pursuing radical ideological dissolution.

On 9/11, we learned that we have more in common than we do that separates us. One generation later, the president of the United States speaks about his fellow citizens as threats to democracy and declares that those who don’t deal with him are existential problems for the republic.

In the aftermath of 9/11, we learned that cultural and political change in foreign countries takes time, investment, and blood. One generation later, we continue to pretend that democratic values will inevitably spread around the globe – that there is a “right side of history” that will simply manifest itself – and that exporting cultural Leftism is a necessary component of our foreign policy.

Overall, we learned on 9/11 that the world is a chaotic and terrible place in which the right may not always triumph and the wrong may do the decent terrible damage. One generation later, we seem to have forgotten that simple lesson, instead regressing to a sort of puerile innocence in which we are constantly shocked by brutal realities. This is not a recipe for safety, prosperity, or success.

German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck once remarked, “There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children, and the United States of America.” If America repeats the idiocies of its past, it will have to rely on that Providence once more to protect us – for surely our leaders will not.

I’ve Been “Condemned” by the SCGOP. Why Does it Matter to You?

by Jim Hoft

why not name names? Why not share audio?

Guest post by Tracy Beanz at Undercover DC

In 2021, at the urging of President Trump, I ran to become a precinct committeewoman in the local GOP. After I won that election, I decided to step up to make more of a difference at the state level. I ran for State Executive Committeewoman and was also blessed to win that election. After almost two years of witnessing some of the dirtiest, backhanded, disgusting political tactics you can imagine, on Monday, I resigned.

So did the rest of my county executive board. This is our story, and it’s a story all of you need to know and understand because the reality is that the GOP, even at the local level, is out to get you. Literally.

Every two years, the GOP “reorganizes.” The system is beautiful, and it is designed to place power at the bottom of the pyramid rather than the top. The precinct is the most powerful position, as they pitch it, and the people above you are only there to do the bidding of the Republican voter. The State Committeeperson represents the county they live in at the state level and attends meetings of the state committee to do the will of their “constituency” or the precinct leaders back at home in their county.

As with most of our institutions, in many states, this isn’t how it works. Power ultimately gets concentrated at the top of the pyramid, and the brave souls who dare step up to make things right are slandered, maligned, backstabbed, and attacked.

That is what happened to us. Here is a brief timeline of events culminating in a resolution at the state meeting held on Saturday. It was passed, and it targeted me by name. It “condemned” my county chairman and I, along with the Executive Committee of two other counties consisting of “normal” people who dared attempt to get involved in the party and save the country.

First, chairman Drew McKissick called the not-yet elected leadership in Greenville county lepers. The executive committee of the Greenville GOP had suspected fraud was involved in the election of their leadership at reorganization in 2021, prompting the newly elected chair to appoint an independent committee to investigate. When that committee came back with the results of their investigation (they found a number of questionable tactics performed outside of the rules), the current leadership, more favored by “establishment” types, resigned, creating a void in the party and causing a new election. The people that won the new election weren’t the leadership’s “brand” of folks, hence the comments below:

Then he pledged (as is noted in the article) to use private clubs to go around the DULY ELECTED county parties that he didn’t like and run official GOP business through those clubs. This is completely against the rules, but they did it anyway. They did it in Greenville county, and they did it in Horry County. In my opinion, they likely did it elsewhere any time they smelled something they thought resembled American patriotism.

They organized events in our county without involving us. Those events were poorly attended. They didn’t consult us during primaries, so we held our own candidate forums to educate voters on the candidates. Now, they are running their “Victory” office using a club that is representing themselves as the county party. The Horry County GOP, as duly elected, had NOTHING TO DO with this “Victory” office.

Then, the SCGOP called a convention at a very odd time and outside of norms. That convention called up all of the elected delegates from early in 2021 and had them head to our state’s capital to meet and vote on new “rules” before the midterms and the next reorganization. Here is an example of one of the proposed rule changes presented for vote at this convention.

This means that the State GOP can essentially “dissolve” any county party that THEY determine “breaks the rules” (all while breaking the rules themselves) as long as they can get 3/4 of their other minions in the establishment to vote along with them. This will ensure that no MAGA apparatus can ever successfully run a county party again in SC. It will ensure that everyday citizens cant be involved in the process. Unsurprisingly, it passed.

So, that brings us to Saturday’s State Executive Committee meeting, when the leadership of each of the counties meets to conduct important party business. Seeing as how we are less than two months away from mid-terms, Joe Biden just designated almost 3/4 of the country domestic terrorists, a rogue DOJ is raiding Donald Trump, and anyone associated with him is being arrested and subpoenaed for emulating a ham sandwich, (among countless other atrocities) you’d think they would be very focused on what the party is going to do to lend support to efforts to ensure that Republicans win ACROSS THE BOARD this November. If you thought that, you’d be wrong.

Instead, they used their time to attempt to publicly humiliate and shame anyone who they PERCEIVED may have had a problem with the convention or the machinations of how the convention was called. In my case, I had never uttered a word about any of this to anyone. I was on vacation, and in the short time beforehand, I wasn’t involved with anything having to do with the convention. But they “condemned” me nonetheless for wrong think, and they “condemned” my chair, as he tells me, for DARING to make a motion from the floor questioning the process that was used to solidify a rule that would focus all of the power at the top of the pyramid where it doesn’t belong.

In short, the South Carolina GOP broke every rule in the book and did whatever they wanted to get their way because they didn’t like what we stand for. These are the tactics of the left. They don’t like that we question the results of the 2020 election. They don’t like that we have stepped up to clean up Main Street so that we can clean up Washington. They don’t like that we finally said, “enough is enough!” and got involved.

They’ve weaponized the “rules” against their “enemies,” all while they don’t follow the rules themselves. The SCGOP doesn’t like the America First agenda.  They are happy to fundraise on that platform, and they are happy to use Donald Trump to get what they want, but fundamentally, the leadership and its minions are the left wearing elephant costumes over the donkey ones. Problem? Their asses are showing.

The establishment, the uniparty, the globalist machine (call it what you will) made sure that MAGA has no place in the Republican party in South Carolina.

They hate you, and they are coming for you next.

This may seem to you like a local issue, but it has much greater implications for the country than just Horry County, SC. The country is burning down around us, and the state GOP is more concerned with how many Facebook “likes” they have on their page than doing the work necessary to save it. They are clearly more concerned with officially “condemning” their most passionate activists than actually focusing on winning elections and fighting the left. But it isn’t only a misplaced sense of urgency, whether intentional or not; it’s the fact that they really despise everyday Americans. They don’t like you, and they are happy to allow the country to go to hell as long as they maintain their power.

They will try to pacify you with words. They will demand an “apology” after the “President,” flanked by the military, declares more than half the country domestic terrorists; they will smile at you, and then when you turn around, they will pull the trigger and skip away, happy that they’ve removed another pesky nuisance that has gotten in their way.

Understand the operation. They target the strongest among us with lawfare, humiliation, and lies. Then, they use people from within to go after the others who may support them. They use fear and intimidation tactics. They scare them and spread lies about their main target in an attempt to remove their influence. Most people cower because they are too afraid to upset the apple cart. Eventually, due to the psychological operation, the people who stood up to take the slings and arrows are left standing alone, with the weak having retreated back to their living rooms, now afraid to be involved. They do all of this to maintain their power over the system they fear is slipping away from them. If they can make an example out of us and get away with it, what is stopping them elsewhere?

We resigned. We didn’t do it because we lost. On the contrary, they may not realize it yet, but we’ve won. We came in to try to bring integrity back to the process and help our country elect bold representatives who will act on behalf of their constituencies, and we have now exposed what they were doing in the name of the “Republican” party. Boy, did we expose it. The emperor is standing naked in the town square, and he ain’t pretty to look at.

This was the first chapter, and if they think that passionate Americans are done stepping up to fix this mess for their families? They have another thing coming. That next “thing” will be announced shortly. But, all of you need to be aware of what is happening around you, and all of you need to be empowered to speak out if there is to be any prayer for accountability.

From where I stand, the Republican “party” is one and the same as the left. There is a uniparty. At this point, it’s globalism vs. America First, and there are Republicans and Democrats alike happily riding that globalist train.

That train is falling off the tracks. Stay tuned.

Major Airline Places Massive Bet On Electric Planes

by Ben Zeisloft
Gpscruise

not without a parachute!

United Airlines announced a deal to buy up to 400 electric aircraft from Eve Air Mobility coupled with a $15 million investment in the startup.

According to a Thursday press release, United Airlines Ventures — a corporate fund created to jumpstart green energy solutions ahead of the company’s goal to reach net zero emissions by 2050 — signed a purchase agreement to buy 200 four-seat electric planes and options to buy as many as 200 additional vehicles. The first deliveries could occur as early as 2026.

“United has made early investments in several cutting-edge technologies at all levels of the supply chain, staking out our position as a leader in aviation sustainability and innovation,” United Airlines Ventures President Michael Leskinen remarked. “We believe our suite of clean energy technologies will revolutionize air travel as we know it and serve as the catalyst for the aviation industry to move toward a sustainable future.”

United intends to leverage the new aircraft as taxis in urban environments and as offerings for passengers traveling to hub airports. The startup’s “electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle” (eVTOL) uses electric motors rather than combustion engines and has a range of 60 miles.

“United’s investment in Eve reinforces the trust in our products and services and strengthens our position in the North American market,” Eve co-CEO Andre Stein added.

Last year, United also committed to spending $10 million on 100 eVTOLs from Archer Aviation, which will include software to permit autonomous takeoff and landing.

United’s most recent announcement comes as Democratic lawmakers encourage a shift toward electric vehicles. The Inflation Reduction Act, which President Joe Biden signed last month, greenlit $7,500 tax credits for the purchase of new electric cars.

Meanwhile, the California Air Resources Board issued rules requiring 35% of new vehicles to produce zero emissions by 2026 — a standard that will rise to a 68% benchmark by 2030 and a 100% level by 2035. The legislatures of Massachusetts, Washington, and Virginia have previously passed laws conforming their states to standards approved by the agency.

Experts have warned, however, that the nation’s power grid will require significant upgrades to manage a rapid transition away from gas-powered vehicles. “Today, most people charge their electric cars when they come home in the evening — when electricity demand is typically at its peak,” an article from researchers at Cornell University’s College of Engineering said. “If left unmanaged, the power demanded from many electric vehicles charging simultaneously in the evening will amplify existing peak loads, potentially outstripping the grid’s current capacity to meet demand.”

The Golden State’s efforts to pivot away from gas vehicles came under further scrutiny once the California Independent System Operator told residents to avoid charging their electric cars during certain times to protect the electric grid during a heatwave.

As Europe faces an energy crisis amid its rapid transition away from fossil fuels, Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently cautioned that rushing renewable energy adoption endangers the global economy. “Realistically I think we need to use oil and gas in the short term, because otherwise civilization will crumble,” the executive told reporters at a summit in Norway. “One of the biggest challenges the world has ever faced is the transition to sustainable energy and to a sustainable economy. That will take some decades to complete.”

Juul Agrees To Nearly $440 Million Settlement With 33 States Over Teen Vaping Investigation

by Dillon Burroughs
Gpscruise

free advertisements will double their fine in profits.

Electronic cigarette company Juul Labs has settled a two-year investigation involving 33 states and Puerto Rico in a nearly $440 million settlement over alleged marketing of its products to teenagers.

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong announced the settlement agreement on Tuesday.

“We think that this will go a long way in stemming the flow of youth vaping,” Tong said at a news conference.

“I’m under no illusions and cannot claim that it will stop youth vaping,” he added. “It continues to be an epidemic. It continues to be a huge problem. But we have essentially taken a big chunk out of what was once a market leader, and by their conduct, a major offender.”

The investigation probed concerns that Juul reportedly advertised its vaping products to minors in a variety of methods, including launch parties, ads, social media, and product giveaways. Juul also faces hundreds of lawsuits regarding teenagers who allege they became addicted to the company’s vaping products.

The settlement of $438.5 million will be paid over a six to 10-year period. At least $16 million will focus on vaping prevention efforts, according to Tong.

Juul Labs released a statement following the announcement noting its focus on combatting underage use of its products.

“With today’s announcement, we have settled with 37 states and Puerto Rico, and appreciate efforts by Attorneys General to deploy resources to combat underage use,” the statement read.

“We remain focused on the future as we work to fulfill our mission to transition adult smokers away from cigarettes – the number one cause of preventable death – while combating underage use,” it added.

The use of vaping products among teenagers surged following Juul’s launch in 2015, with the Food and Drug Administration later declaring an underage vaping “epidemic.”

Virginia Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares also released a statement following the settlement’s announcement that shared the Old Dominion will receive $16.61 million in the settlement.

“Youth vaping is an epidemic, and from the get-go JUUL has been a leader in the e-cigarette industry. But JUUL targeted young people with deceptive social media advertising campaigns and misled the public about the product’s dangers,” Miyares said. “My office will continue to go after and hold accountable companies that market addictive products like e-cigarettes to minors, with no concern for their health or well-being.”

In June, the FDA officially ordered all Juul e-cigarettes to be removed from U.S. sales.

“Today’s action is further progress on the F.D.A.’s commitment to ensuring that all e-cigarette and electronic nicotine delivery system products currently being marketed to consumers meet our public health standards,” Dr. Robert M. Califf, FDA commissioner, said in a press release.

As The Daily Wire previously reported, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit soon approved a halt to the plan.

“With the administrative stay from the FDA now in place, we continue to offer our products to adult smokers while we pursue the Agency’s internal review process,” Juul Labs shared in a statement regarding the administrative stay. “We remain confident in the quality and substance of our applications and believe that ultimately we will be able to demonstrate that our products do in fact meet the statutory standard of being appropriate for the protection of the public health.”

Kari Lake was asked by reporters in Arizona if she would consider being Donald Trump’s vice president in 2024.

She gave the perfect response.

She responded by saying no because she doesn’t like Washington D.C. and that she was “applying for the job of Arizona Governor.”

Reporter: Were to tap you to be VP is that something you would consider?

Kari Lake: No. First of all, I don’t like Washington D.C. especially don’t like it now. It is funny that question is asked because for so long many of you in the media have been trying to act like I don’t have the skill to run for governor. Now, apparently, I’m so skilled that you think I should be VP. So, I take it as a compliment – thank you for asking.

Reporter: Have you talked to Trump about it?

Kari Lake: I talk to President Trump all the time and I have not talked to him about that no. I am applying for the job of Arizona Governor and I’m reaching out to the people every single day. Where is Katie Hobbs right now? She should be standing right here, right here answering your questions. How often does she talk to you?

UK regulators pledge to police age requirements on pornography websites

A United Kingdom data regulator pledged to crack down on pornographic content online by mandating that providers confirm users' ages.

The U.K.'s Information Commissioner's Office announced on Thursday that it was reversing its position on the regulation of adults-only websites in relation to the Children's Code and Age Appropriate Design Code, two pieces of legislation the U.K. implemented to protect children online. The codes recently inspired legislation in California that will significantly affect social media platforms in the United States.

CALIFORNIA CHILD INTERNET PRIVACY LEGISLATION HEADS TO GOV. NEWSOM'S DESK

"We have revised our position," said Information Commissioner John Edwards, according to Bloomberg. "We now accept that if there are a significant number of children accessing the sites, they are in the aegis of the code."

The change in position comes after 11 civil society watchdogs filed a legal challenge against ICO in December 2021, arguing that the code covers all websites or services "likely to be accessed by children" and not just services or websites directly targeted at children.

Companies that provide adult content, such as Pornhub, will now be required to make it clear they are taking actions to ensure that a significant number of children are not accessing their services, according to Edwards. The commissioner did not elaborate on what a "significant" number would be.

Proposals to require pornography websites to verify visitors' ages were introduced through the U.K.'s Digital Economy Act of 2017 but were dropped in 2019 after privacy advocacy organizations attacked the proposal over the notion of creating a database of pornography users.

The Children's Code and Design Code were a significant inspiration for a new piece of child internet privacy legislation that California's Senate and Assembly passed on Monday. The legislation requires companies to prioritize the safety of children in their product design. It will also restrict apps' ability to collect data on anyone 18 or younger and require apps to turn on their highest privacy settings by default for children.

Three Days After Trump Holds Rally for Him in PA — Dr. Oz Says He Would Have Certified Joe Biden as President (VIDEO)

by Jim Hoft
Gpscruise

maybe he is just lying to get in.

On Saturday night, President Trump held a massive rally in Pennsylvania in support of GOP candidates Mastriano for governor and Dr. Mehmet Oz for US Senate.

Both candidates are looking at competitive races in the Keystone State.

On Tuesday, Dr. Mehmet Oz told reporters Tuesday he would not have contested the 2020 election results from Pennsylvania if he would have been in the Senate at the time.

This was a slap in the face to Trump voters and the state.

Donald Trump won Pennsylvania by 790,000 votes on election night in 2020.

Then Democrats locked the doors on the counting rooms, manufactured over a million votes, and stole the election for Joe Biden.

Unfortunately, Dr. Oz is fine with this.

He won’t feel that way on election night and the days after — when Democrats will no doubt do it again this year.

Apparently, Dr. Oz is also OK with Pennsylvania lawmakers and not the legislature making the election rules in the state.

Although Dr. Oz would be better than the communist Fetterman, it’s clear he will be another RINO vote for Mitch McConnell in the US Senate.

Mediaite reported:

Dr. Mehmet Oz tried to have it both ways with Donald Trump by saying he wouldn’t have impeached the former president over January 6th, but also that he would not have contested Trump’s 2020 election defeat.

Oz held a news conference alongside Pat Toomey (R) on Tuesday as he continues his campaign to replace the outgoing Pennsylvania senator. After Oz bashed his Democratic opponent, Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, over his refusal to meet him on the debate stage, NBC’s Vaughn Hillyard asked Oz: “If you had been in the U.S. Senate on January 6, 2021, would you have objected to the certification of the 2020 election and Joe Biden’s win?”

“I would not have objected to it,” said Oz. “By the time the delegates and those reports were sent to the U.S. Senate, our job was to approve it, which is what I would have done.”

Hillyard then brought up the fact that Toomey was one of the seven Republican senators who broke party ranks by voting to convict Trump for incitement of insurrection after his supporters violently mobbed the Capitol. Asked if he supported Toomey’s vote for Trump’s impeachment, Oz answered “I would not have voted in favor of impeaching President Trump. I think the President was already leaving office by then.”

Trump Attacks FOX News for ‘Pushing Democrat Agenda’ – Vows to Help “Low Rating CNN” if it Goes ‘Conservative’

by Jim Hoft
Gpscruise

need to only read Epoc Times. 'Bring them up. Heck I should buy their stock

It’s no secret that FOX News as an organization is not a fan of President Trump. They proved this on election night 2020 by using Never-Trumpers Chris Wallace and others to demean Trump voters. Since election night, many of these Trump supporters, who together make up the greatest political base in the history of the United States, have not returned to FOX.

On Sunday, former President Trump criticized FOX News for continuing to push the Democrats and their agenda, while also vowing to help competing network CNN become a “gold mine” if it becomes more conservative.

“Wow! Fox News is really pushing the Democrats and the Democrat agenda,” Trump wrote on his own social media, Truth Social.

“Gets worse every single day. So many Dems interviewed with only softball questions, then Republican counterparts get creamed,” Trump added.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported the infamous attempt by Bret Baier to attack Kari Lake that ended horribly for the FOX News host.

FOX News only invited Kari Lake once on prime time in 7 months and it was an ambush interview.

In June, FOX News host Bret Baier invited Kari Lake on before the GOP primary election.

Kari had Bret Baier flushed with anger after she chewed him up and spit him out!

“I am really shocked. I am actually appalled that FOX News would take a defamatory story like that, and we are pursuing legal action against this drag queen. I am appalled you would bring that up when you have not talked about our stolen election. You failed to talk about that… I am really disappointed in FOX, I thought you were better than CNN,” Lake rebutted.

Trump continued, “RINO Karl Rove is unwatchable, very negative, and on all the time – Has a big record of losing! Not an easy place to be as a Republican, especially with all of the “pervert” purchased ads.”

It can be recalled that RINO Karl Rove conspired with Sheena Greitens to contrive FALSE ACCUSATIONS against Eric Greitens, as reported by TGP.

In March, Eric Greitens’s attorney was in Washington, DC, and announced that he filed four subpoenas to obtain phone records detailing when Sheena Greitens’s corresponded with Karl Rove, warning the candidate’s ex-wife was exploited by Rove who persuaded her into committing perjury.

Eric Greitens was on The Joe Hoft Show and he alleged how a group of RINOs got together and encouraged Greiten’s ex-wife to make false allegations against the former governor.  The problem is the allegations were in direct opposition to her prior statements. You can watch the interview here.

Lastly, Trump said, “if “low ratings” CNN ever went Conservative, they would be an absolute gold mine, and I would help them to do so!”

New CNN Boss Chris Licht has now reportedly told CNN anchors to stop using the term “the big lie” to describe 2020 election fraud – Licht pointed out that this line is the same one used by Democrats.

President Donald Trump responded by congratulating CNN saying it was a “big step” on his Truth social account.

Chief media correspondent for the Insider, Claire Atkinson, has warned that “there’s going to be the possibility of people leaving CNN, and the possibility that ratings go down” as a result of the network’s efforts to become more neutral.

New Contract Proves Nick Saban Is One Of A Kind

by Jake Crain
Gpscruise

just think what he brings in on TV games ? Any guess? x100 that amount??

This week, University of Alabama head football coach, Nick Saban, agreed to a $93.6 million contract extension that extends through February 2030. He will earn $11.7 million per season.

Not only does Saban’s agreement surpass Kirby Smart’s $11.2 million per year contract at Georgia, but it also includes a clause stating Saban’s guaranteed compensation can be revisited if his contract is less than the three highest paid SEC coaches or the top five coaches nationally.

The funny part is, Saban is worth way more than that to Alabama. Since his teams started this incredible run, out-of-state enrollment has shot through the roof and there is no telling how much money he has made the University as a result. Do I believe Saban will coach through the end of this contract until he’s 78? No. But you have to pay the greatest coach ever the most because that is the nature of the college football arms race.

For other coaches and programs, this isn’t the greatest news – because I don’t see Saban losing his effectiveness any time soon. It’s amazing what a couple Little Debbies and coffee can do for a person. I wouldn’t be surprised if at the end of this, he was blended with a robot and the ‘Sabantron 3000’ roamed the sidelines until a meteor hits.

This also means that another group of young or troubled coaches will be able to catapult or resurrect their careers under Saban’s tutelage. Despite all the money that gets talked about and all the championships he has won, neither will be the biggest part of his legacy. He has helped so many coaches find success, get the blueprint and thrive in a cutthroat business. He has mentored thousands of young men on how to work to find success and changed countless family trajectories. Football is one of the greatest teachers of life, and Saban is basically Gandalf.

The numbers Saban has accumulated up to this point in his college head coaching career are eye-popping. He has won 7 national championships, 10 SEC championships, and numerous Coach of the Year awards. His overall regular season record is 274-67-1, 18-11 in bowl games, and a dominant 9-4 in college football playoffs.

There is not just one reason Coach Saban has been able to attain Mount Rushmore status among college football coaches, but if I had to pick one key factor contributing to his success, it would be his malleability. The hardest part about staying on top is being able to change with the times.

As with many other aspects of life, football continues to change almost yearly. When offenses started to find ways to create havoc by using a faster pace of play, Saban knew he had to adjust his old-school style of play to keep his advantage. Gone were the days of his bland, run to pass and don’t screw it up offensively method and in came the day of going fast and taking chances. Similarly, when the transfer portal and new rules around athletes’ name, image and likeness (NIL) burst into college football, Saban embraced something he disagreed with and even led the way on how to adapt.

Most people who find a recipe to make it to the top struggle to change or adjust – like Red Beaulieu and the green notebook in “The Waterboy” – but if you aren’t evolving, you are dissolving.

Saban has been able to zero in on a moving target, and that is why his success level hasn’t dissipated over the course of time. While it does take a big ego to be Nick Saban, too much ego can destroy even him; because just when you think you have all the answers, you are destined to be wrong.

How many more titles will Saban win? The smart money is a couple, but in the grand scheme of things, he’s already won.

Law enforcement using location-data software to track suspects without warrants

Law enforcement using location-data software to track suspects without warrants

Law enforcement agencies across the United States have been using a little-known cellphone tracking tool to dig up location data on suspects without acquiring warrants.

The tool, known as "Fog Reveal," allows law enforcement to create location analyses of users by accessing hundreds of billions of records from 250 million mobile devices. This data-gathering practice was revealed as lawmakers scrutinized data brokers for various privacy-related concerns.

"[Fog Reveal] represents a direct and uniquely modern threat to our privacy. Its business is only possible because of a cascade of decisions by tech platforms, app developers, lawmakers, and judges, all of whom have failed to adequately protect regular users," wrote Electronic Frontier Foundation staff technologist Bennett Cyphers in a review of the technology's uses. Cyphers noted a number of failures by lawmakers and tech companies to enforce stronger privacy protections, as well as courts failing to clarify that a person's Fourth Amendment rights "aren't diminished just because they're carrying a smartphone that can transmit their location to apps and data brokers."

WORLD'S LARGEST PASSWORD MANAGER CONFIRMS IT WAS HACKED, CLAIMS USER DATA IS SAFE

Fog Reveal's owner, Fog Data Science, promotes itself by claiming that it has "billions" of data points about "over 250 million devices" and that law enforcement can use the data to determine where a subject works, lives, and hangs around. Fog has had contracts with at least 18 local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, according to data reviewed by EFF. Several other agencies have used a test version of the software.

Fog's software allows agencies to run two specific kinds of data searches. The first is an area search, which allows an agency to draw one or more shapes on a map and specify a time range. The data will then show a list of cellular signals that may have been present in the area at that time and location. The second search allows law enforcement to specify one or more identified devices and a time range. Fog Reveal will then provide them with a list of location signals that can be used to identify a target's "pattern of life."

While Fog states that it does not collect identifying information, it does allow law enforcement extended access to users' data, which police can use for "pattern of life" analysis, including insights into sleep patterns, work habits, and other elements of a person's life. The data used by Fog originate from third-party apps, which often have permission to share those data with brokers like Fog for additional revenue without getting the consent of the people being tracked. Fog's Senior Vice President for Sales and Analysis Mark Massop has said that the data do not come from Big Tech firms like Facebook and Twitter but rather from "lots of smaller apps."

While Fog has worked with several agencies in the past, some have canceled their subscriptions to Fog Reveal, with at least one claiming that the service never helped them solve a case. "Those potential shortcomings are not a reason to underestimate Fog's invasiveness, or its capability for unfettered dragnet monitoring. But it's important to understand its limits," Cyphers notes.

While Fog claims that it only provides its services to law enforcement, promotional material also notes that it provides "out-sourced analytic services" to non-law enforcement agencies, including "private sector security clients."

Law enforcement data practices have been a focus for lawmakers in recent months. Multiple civil liberties groups and lawmakers have objected to agencies like the FBI and ICE having access to user data without seeking a warrant. The Department of Homeland Security and ICE have purchased mass quantities of location data from Fog's competitors in the past, creating concern about what sorts of details it may provide on citizens.

The Federal Trade Commission filed a suit against a data broker on Monday for its data gathering process, including selling data connected to abortion clinics, places of worship, and homeless shelters.

Steve Bannon Swatted at DC Home for Second Time

by Kristinn Taylor

i think we should all drywall off our front doors.

War Room host Steve Bannon was swatted Thursday night with D.C. police responding to a hoax call of a shooting at his Capitol Hill home at 7:17 p.m. Fox News reported police found no evidence of a shooting.

This is the second swatting of Bannon’s home this summer with the first taking place July 8 while he on air at the nearby War Room studio.

The Daily Mail reported an ambulance and firetruck also responded to Bannon’s home Thursday night (excerpt):

The million dollar DC home of former Donald Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon was swatted Thursday for the second time in two months.

Police in the nation’s capital confirmed to DailyMail.com that cops were called to the home…at 7:17 pm local time.

According to the cops, after further investigation it was confirmed that no shots were fired and that there was no active threat. There were no injuries as a result of the swatting.

In addition to the police, fire and ambulances were also dispatched to the residence.

Fellow MAGA Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was recently swatted three times at her Georgia home.

Republican nominated Supreme Court justices have targeted by mobs at their homes for months with Justice Kavanaugh having a gunman show up at his home in June intent on killing the justice and his family.

Meanwhile Joe Biden is inciting attacks on MAGA Republicans with speeches calling them a threat to democracy.

Bed Bath & Beyond on Wednesday announced swift and significant steps it is taking to try to revive its struggling business, including layoffs, store closures and a shake-up of the brands on its shelves.

On a call with investors, the New Jersey-based retailer laid out details of its latest turnaround push. It said it has started closing about 150 of its “lower producing” namesake stores. It will also slash costs by shrinking head count by about 20% across its corporate and supply chain workforce.

Canceling MyPillow was a big mistake!

They forced conservatives to choose between a big box store and a man who fights for conservatives.

Webhost says it won't take down website behind Marjorie Taylor Greene 'swatting'

The internet security and hosting company Cloudflare said it would not take down a website that "swatted" Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) over its involvement in harassing public figures, a notable decision by a private-sector tech company to limit its own power to censor.

Cloudflare announced in a blog post Wednesday that it would not take action to remove websites hosting questionable content, as it did in 2017 when it removed a pro-Nazi website from its servers. The decision denies multiple requests for Cloudflare to take down Kiwi Farms, a forum with a history of harassing public figures, including Greene.

"Just as the telephone company doesn't terminate your line if you say awful, racist, bigoted things, we have concluded in consultation with politicians, policy makers, and experts that turning off security services because we think what you publish is despicable is the wrong policy," the service said.

BEST BUY REPORTS DROP IN SALES, ANTICIPATES FURTHER DECLINE

Cloudflare made news in the past when it removed the pro-Nazi website Daily Stormer from its servers in 2017 and the QAnon-connected forum 8chan in 2019. While the company did those removals willingly, it claims that "authoritarian regimes" have approached them since requesting that it "terminate security services for human rights organizations" based on the same reasoning that the platform used to remove those other websites.

"Since those decisions, we have had significant discussions with policy makers worldwide. From those discussions, we concluded that the power to terminate security services for the sites was not a power Cloudflare should hold," the company said.

The company did uphold its other efforts to offer aid to human rights organizations. For example, Cloudflare operates Project Galileo, an effort that provides free cybersecurity services to journalists and human rights groups.

Kiwi Farms was established in 2013 as a forum to harass certain online personalities. The website has been used to harass several public figures and is connected to at least three suicides. The site earned attention in August after a "swatting" attempt (in which a third party sends police over to a person's residence as a form of harassment) ended with the transgender Twitch streamer Clara "Keffals" Sorrenti being arrested and detained for over 10 hours. This "swatting," mixed with several other attempts at "doxxing" (in which personal information is revealed in order to harass someone), forced Sorrenti into hiding and led several people to push Cloudflare to take the forum down.

Greene was the target of two "swatting" attempts by Kiwi Farms on Aug. 24 when an automated voice called into her local police department and alleged that someone had been shot multiple times at the representative's home.

Kiwi Farms was also used to republish and spread the manifesto of Brenton Tarrant, the man involved with the Christchurch Mosque shootings. The website's owner, Joshua Moon, refused to provide data related to Tarrant to New Zealand authorities and was blocked by New Zealand internet providers.

Crafty cops set phantom speed traps on Waze – and drivers are slowing down

by Chris Smith
Waze police

If you use the Google-owned navigation app Waze, you’ve probably tapped your break pedal once or twice after seeing after seeing the police officer icon on the map.

The crowd-sourced data provided by fellow drivers can be handy in helping you avoid those seeing flashing blue lights in your rear view mirror if you’ve been driving a bit too fast. However, now the fuzz are turning the tables.

Police in Surrey have admitted laying fake speed traps using Waze, in tweets spotted by The Guardian, and drivers are slowing down as a result. “We definitely don’t drop Police markers on Waze at random points on our patrol, nope – never” the force’s Roads Policing unit wrote on Twitter accompanied by the winking emoji.

The tweet, which remains live, referred to the tactic an “easy way to get drivers to slow down on our roads” and actually thanked Waze for including it in the app. When the obviously outcry from the Twittersphere followed, the officer running the account pointed out that the markers were “technically not false” because the units “are there at that very specific point in time”.

Well played.

Indeed, there’s nothing on Waze that mandates the police traps have to be stationary, the account pointed out. Still, that hasn’t stopped Twitter users citing the Computer Misuse Act and accusing the police force itself of filing false reports. The tactic might be short-lived as, the Surrey Police force itself has issued a statement saying it has not endorsed its use.

The statement reads: “While officers used this application to deter dangerous driving on our roads, this is not a tactic or policy endorsed by Surrey Police. Innovation and technology will always have a part to play in keeping our communities safe but, although well-intentioned, we know this has caused concern and undermines the trust the public has in us. Media coverage has claimed “phantom” units have been created. This is not the case. Technology has not replaced the presence of officers on our roads. We’re currently reviewing and addressing the use of this tactic.”

Are the Surrey road cops justified in turning the tables, considering the feature is ostensibly there to outfox them in the first place? Let us know @trustedreviews on Twitter.

Google delayed Truth Social Android app over insufficient content moderation

Google has not approved Truth Social's Android app for distribution because of insufficient content moderation.

The Trump-affiliated social network was expected to get an Android release this week, according to Truth Social CEO Devin Nunes. However, Google now claims that it has not approved the app's release due to concerns about its content moderation practices.

TRUTH SOCIAL'S PARENT COMPANY LOSES $6.2 MILLION AFTER STOCK PLUNGES

"On Aug. 19, we notified Truth Social of several violations of standard policies in their current app submission and reiterated that having effective systems for moderating user-generated content is a condition of our terms of service for any app to go live on Google Play," Google told Axios. "Last week Truth Social wrote back acknowledging our feedback and saying that they are working on addressing these issues."

"TMTG has continuously worked in good faith with Google to ensure that the Truth Social Android App complies with Google's policies without compromising our promise to be a haven for free speech," the platform said in a press statement responding to Google's claims. The company argued that several of its competitors, including Facebook and Twitter, were left on the store "despite rampantly violating Google's prohibition on sexual content and other policies, whereas Truth Social has zero tolerance for sexually explicit content."

Content moderation on Truth Social has been an issue in the past. The House Committee on Oversight and Reform filed a letter on Aug. 19, requesting information about the company's content moderation practices, an inquiry it also made to other social networks, such as TikTok, Facebook, and Parler.

While the platform touts itself as a free-speech network, researchers claim that subjects such as the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol have been blocked. The platform has also been home to more aggressive characters, including the armed man who attempted to assault an FBI field office in Cincinnati and telegraphed his attack before the attempt via posts on Truth Social.

The company has also been financially struggling. The app's parent company, Digital World Acquisition, lost more than $6 million from January to June. The company has become concerned that its affiliation with Trump could adversely affect the long-term health of DWAC's stock.

Former President Donald Trump has maintained that Truth Social is going fine despite reports that the platform has failed to pay RightForge, an internet infrastructure company for conservative causes, $1.6 million in backdated payments. "Actually, many of the big guns in Washington, D.C., are fighting to stop the TRUTH but, they won't be successful," Trump wrote. "They are going after the outside financial company, and virtually anybody that walks and breaths, but that won't do it. They said it is doing worse since the Raid, but actually it is doing MUCH better, up more than 550%. We all love TRUTH!!!"
