Some details from the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Missing from the model list is Kate Upton. Maybe casting director Sophia Neophitou will stick to her word. In February she was quoted saying:

“We would never use” Ms. Upton for a Victoria’s Secret show, Ms. Neophitou said by telephone last week from London. And, while Ms. Upton has, in fact, modeled on occasion for the company’s catalog, her look, said Ms. Neophitou, is “too obvious” to be featured in what has become the most widely viewed runway show in the world.

“She’s like a Page 3 girl,” Ms. Neophitou said, referring to the scantily clad voluptuous women featured in The Sun, a London tabloid. “She’s like a footballer’s wife, with the too-blond hair and that kind of face that anyone with enough money can go out and buy.” 

That was February though. Since then Upton has landed in Vogue US, & Vogue Italia amongst other magazines, so we'll see if Sophia holds firm, or if she surprises us.

Nicole Kidman turned more than a few heads at Derby Day held at the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Australia, on Saturday afternoon as she channelled Audrey Hepburn.

The actress, who I was delighted to see having fun with fashion, wore a white lace L’Wren Scott dress with black-and-white striped ribbon and bow detail which evoked Eliza Doolittle’s Royal Ascot debut in the classic 1964 movie ‘My Fair Lady’ starring Hepburn.

Nicole’s L’Wren Scott dress, which was made to The Green Carpet Challenge’s specifications and strictly adhered to the traditional Derby Day colour code of black-and-white, was styled with a broad-brimmed hat designed by milliner Stephen Jones to completed the reinterpretation of the classic look.
