Bring back the phase of society where having your tiddies all the way out was fine but showing ankle flesh was scandalous
i know this is aiming at 17. and 18. and 19. century fashion, but i really wanna bring back those dresses that only basically start under the boobs, like that little number Minoan snake goddess figurine is wearing
that was actually what i was thinking of! ive been obsessed with that figure since i was her in a history book as a kid lmao
the ultimate look!!! 2 titties out 2 snakes in hand
titties out, snakes up, she’s ready 2 go
ankles: covered
snakes: up
titties: out

I have a weird "relationship" with Islam. I lived in Pakistan when I was ten, and I know that a more... restrictive version of Islam is? was? encouraged there. In particular, I remember my friend, a native who's father was wealthy enough to allow her to attend the embassy school, told me, in all seriousness, that Muslims have a duty to kill Jews because Jews had killed their prophet, Jesus. It took me until I was twenty to realize just how fucked up that was. On the other hand, it took me until I was forty to realize just how fucked up it was for me to have grown up in a culture that allowed me excuse the bombing of Hiroshima, much less Nagasaki, so, really, which of us was living in a horrifying culture?
According to a 2015 YouGov poll, 28% of Americans have a “somewhat unfavorable view of Islam,” and 27% have a “very unfavorable view.” But 87% of Americans have never visited a mosque and an overwhelming majority don’t know a single Muslim individual. Here are some facts to debunk the misconceptions about Islam.
Well, because the city was "economically depressed" BEFORE Snyder poisoned it, and now that all the houses spew leaded water, who the fuck is going to buy them?
Hey all my homies let’s do a little experiment, take this test and reblog with your score, age, and state/country in the tags. A passing score is 60% or 15/25 correct so let’s see who really has what it takes to be a citizen of the United States!
I’m from England and I literally could only answer a few of these
19/25, 24 from Scotland.
15/25, 22 from England
I’m from fucking America and I got 16 out of 25.
I got 10 out of 25 and i am an amercan
Huh, 19 out of 25, from Ireland.
WOO 25 OUT OF 25, I AM A TRUE COASTAL ELITE
even though i really wanted to answer #4 with this
If you’ve ever had a cat escape and run away from home, you know how upsetting it can be. Aside from putting up signs and talking to neighbors, there are a few tricks to lure your cat back home. For example, try putting their litter box outside.
I’ve always felt some tpye of way bout us having an entire museum dedicated to the holocaust and germany’s sins, but not one dedicated to trans atlantic slave trade or trail of tears or japanese internment camps or how we made hawaii a state
Kalief Browder was arrested at the age of 16, on charges of robbery (for allegedly stealing a backpack) and imprisoned without conviction for three years.
Unable to post $3,000 bail, Kalief was sent to Rikers Island to await his trial.
After more than 1,000 days at Rikers awainting trial, over 800 of them in solitary confinement, Kalief was released and his case was later dismissed.
In June 2015, Kalief Browder committed suicide by hanging himself. The conditions of his detention were widely seen as having caused his mental condition and five or six prior attempts at suicide while incarcerated.
Kalief was 22 years old when he died.
Venida Browder, 63, the mother of Kalief Browder, died Friday at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.
Because jfc, you don’t understand how important this scene is to me.
Or maybe you do!
Because it has Jack openly showing his affection and admiration for two people of different gender in the exact same way, making no difference at all, and neither do Rose nor the Doctor. Zilch. No hesitating, no flinching, no comic relief.
I wish it could be like this more often.
That scene up there is doing everything right, end of story. And while Jack’s sexuality is often made out to be something to smile at, it’s also shown as very natural and Nine was just cool with that, no reason not to be.
Acceptance: You’re doing it right.
This is one of my favorite Jack scenes. And I love how Rose is more surprised by the kiss than Nine is.

The holidays are here, which means it’s time for you to make your annual charitable donations in a desperate attempt to cleanse the stains your dark soul has accumulated this year. Below is a thoroughly vetted list of the most effective life-saving charities in the world.
Also, we live an capitalist society, let's not pretend that people in their thirties, forties, fifties, and up aren't paid minimum wage whenever a corporation can get away with it.
Temporary jobs or not, you should still be able to house yourself on a minimum wage salary.
You can house yourself on full time minimum wage, it’s called having roommates.
^^^^ this is called derailing
In the fifties a single working man at federal minimum wage could support a family of him his wife and two children. Housing, food, transportation, and education. Quit this roommate shit and let’s be better.
You literally cannot house YOURSELF on the fucking wage if you have to have OTHER PEOPLE PAYING PART OF THE GODDAMN RENT.
Holy shit reading comprehension is not that fucking hard.
I love me the idea of communal living no matter what your age but the fact that it’s becoming a fucking REQUIREMENT just to SURVIVE is absolutely awful
Honestly, we are getting some seriously good fantasy out of our male fantasy writers these days. Patrick Rothfuss. Scott Lynch. Even Peter V. Brett and Joe Abercrombie.
It's very simple. She, and the rest of the deplorables, don't WANT black people to ever state their grievances. If you don't see color, of course you don't see that people of color have a harder time in this country. And you want to keep it that way.
This interview is so very important. This is how you make positive change. You talk to the person who disagrees with you in a calm, rational manner. Bravo, Trevor Noah.
about a year ago i read that capybaras can briefly run as fast as horses and no revelation since has shaken me as much. i can’t get rid of the thought of the world’s largest rodent barreling at you at the speed of a horse. it’s so sinister
in all seriousness I read this and thought “good thing capybaras aren’t real” before realizing that I was, in fact, thinking of chupacabras
