Burgundy & Cream

I've been meaning to do something about the lack of variety in my posts lately, particularly the outfit posts, and figured it was about bloody time I did something about it! Always posting photos taken in front of my bedroom door was feeling a bit stale, so I decided try something a little different this time.
As for this outfit, I paired an old cream coloured sweater with a lovely fitted burgundy skirt from TBDress and classic pumps! The top is actually the same one as in these outfit photos, except I wore it backwards here. I actually do this quite often, I just carefully remove the tag I don't think it looks half bad, from the front or back view. I'm not the only one who does this, right?

Little black dresses are, in my opinion, one of fashion's best staples. At first, I'd paired mine with a pair of black tights but opted to change them out for fishnets at the last minute. I understand how much so many people dislike them, but truth be told, they're one of my guilty fashion pleasures! On a whim, I brought them out and layered them over sheer tights for extra warmth -- it is still January, after all. Otherwise, I opted for simple accessories in the form of a vintage beret and bag and my favourite pumps.

Chromecast, do Google, desembarca no Brasil por R$ 199

Quase um ano depois de ser lançado nos EUA, o Chromecast começou a ser vendido hoje à meia-noite no varejo online brasileiro. O preço é o mesmo revelado há algum tempo: R$ 199.
Por enquanto, o Chromecast está disponível apenas nas lojas virtuais das Casas Bahia, Ponto Frio e Extra (todas da mesma dona, a Nova Pontocom). Segundo a Exame, o gadget deve estar à venda “em breve” também em lojas físicas.
Torcíamos que o preço de lançamento fosse menor, cogitando que o Google apenas estaria testando a reação do público para ver se R$ 199 era um preço aceitável, ou se deveria ser reduzido – mas isso não mudou. Bem, você pode parcelar o valor em até nove vezes… Nos EUA, ele custa US$ 35.
O Chromecast é um dispositivo pequeno que você conecta à entrada HDMI da sua TV para transferir conteúdo do seu laptop, smartphone ou tablet através de Wi-Fi. O Google diz que realizou mais de 200 testes no Brasil para confirmar se o Chromecast funciona bem no país, mesmo com a instabilidade do sinal de internet.
O gadget permite carregar conteúdo de serviços do Google – como YouTube, Play Store e Chrome – na sua TV. Também há suporte em apps de terceiros: Netflix, Crackle, Rdio e Vevo são alguns dos que transmitem áudio e vídeo para o Chromecast no Brasil – a lista completa está aqui.
E com o AllCast, é possível fazer streaming de vídeos do seu computador para a TV, quase como um AirPlay. O Chromecast é compatível com Android, iOS e Chrome para Mac e Windows.
