It’s gotten to the point that when I see two guys with cellos, I know it’s going to be some outrageous rock ’n’ roll. These guys are Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, together known as 2CELLOS. There are clearly more than two cellos in this recording (see comments), but no doubt just the two cellists. Their version of AC/DC’s "Thunderstruck" is available at iTunes. You can also see them perform some AC/DC live in the videos "YouShook Me (All Night Long)" and "Highway to Hell." -via Viral Viral Videos

Seth Rogen To Make A Film About The Sega And Nintendo Rivalry In The Early 90′s
The nice thing about being quietly powerful in Hollywood is that you get to make whatever you want. For instance, Seth Rogen gets to make a film about the awkward teenage years of video games. The film will be based upon the upcoming book Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo, And The Battle That Defined A Generation, and will be written and produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the stoner Watson and Crick of Tinseltown.
Of course, when we learn that Rogen and Goldberg wrote the forward for the book, it become clear that this has been in the works for a moment now. Consider Console Wars the first shot fired in a battle of competing video game history films, with the other one being Ready Player One, which, despite having a more awesome title (and being a novel), doesn’t have any big names attached to it.
Poor guy.

‘Joe’ Domestic Trailer: Nicolas Cage Unleashes His Powerful Dramatic Instincts
CoreyNicholas Cage coming back strong?
Probably not. But I will give it a shot.

Here’s a new trailer for Joe, which teams director David Gordon Green with Nicolas Cage. Both men have started to be known more for their broad comic and genre work, but this movie shows that both can really deliver on the dramatic front when they have a mind to. Here Cage is paired with Tye Sheridan, the young actor who was so good in Mud, playing a young man with a tousled family, who develops a surrogate father/son relationship with Cage’s character Joe.
We’ve seen one French trailer for the film already, but this is the first domestic edit, and it’s a lot better. There’s less plot given away here, and a lot more suggestion of character. Check it out below.
Joe opens on April 11.
A gripping mix of friendship, violence and redemption erupts in the contemporary South in this adaptation of Larry Brown’s novel, celebrated at once for its grit and its deeply moving core. Directed by David Gordon Green, JOE film brings Academy Award® winner Nicolas Cage back to his indie roots in the title role as the hard-living, hot-tempered, ex-con Joe Ransom, who is just trying to dodge his instincts for trouble – until he meets a hard-luck kid, (MUD’s Tye Sheridan) who awakens in him a fierce and tender-hearted protector. With a screenplay by Gary Hawkins, JOE is based on the novel by the late Larry Brown (Big Bad Love, Facing the Moon), the former Mississippi firefighter renowned for his powerful, gothic storytelling and universal themes of honor, desperation and moral rectitude.

‘Penny Dreadful’ Trailer: Blood, Monsters, and Eva Green

Penny Dreadful is the new show from Showtime and Sam Mendes, a Victorian-age horror tale that is a bit like an alternate League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, basically a collection of several famous pulp characters that lie in the public domain. It features Dorian Gray, Frankenstein’s monster, players from Dracula, and Eva Green. (The actress is not in the public domain, to be clear.)
The first teaser was brief, but this full trailer has a lot more of Green, plus blood, bodies tangled, twisted and mangled, insects and spiders, and all manner of creepy weirdo images. There’s a lot to take in, and it should be safe for work, though perhaps not for those in particularly sensitive jobs.
Penny Dreadful premieres on Showtime on Sunday, May 11th at 10PM ET/PT.
PENNY DREADFUL is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama. Some of literature’s most terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the novel Dracula –are lurking in the darkest corners of Victorian London. PENNY DREADFUL is a frightening psychological thriller that weaves together these classic horror origin stories into a new adult drama.

You Might Have to Wait Two Years for ‘Sherlock’ Season 4
CoreyThe bad news is it will take 2 years. The good news is that it looks like it will happen.

You probably already know the good news: we’re getting a fourth season of Sherlock. And if you’ve finished the third season, that was all but settled in the final moments. The bad news, however, is the wait. Series co-creator Steven Moffat splits his time between Sherlock and another little show people might have heard of, Doctor Who. He has a lot of his plate. In a recent interview he said he won’t sacrifice any quality and that means we probably won’t see Sherlock return for a few years.
The second and third seasons of Sherlock premiered two years apart to the date: January 1, 2012 and January 1, 2014 in the UK. So how long will we have to wait for the next episodes? IGN asked Moffatt himself:
I have no idea. Sue [Vertue, producer] is working on the schedules right now. I just started with [Peter] Capaldi on the new series of Doctor Who. You know, we’ll do what we can, but with no sacrifice in quality — that’s the thing. If people have to wait two years, they’ll have to wait two years. When’s the next James Bond film? You know, it’s not that kind of show that turns up all the time. It’s just not. But the good news is, that probably means it will turn up sporadically for a very, very long while.
That’s obviously disappointing from a story standpoint as the third season wrapped up on a pretty fantastic cliffhanger. But, the suggestion the show will keep going beyond that is encouraging at least. What do you think?

LOL: ‘Key & Peele’ Valet Guys Meet Liam Neeson
CoreyLove all of these.

Key & Peele is one of the funniest shows on TV right now, and one of the good recurring bits features the two comedians, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, playing a pair of valet attendants who are obsessed with Liam Neesons. Yeah, “Neesons.” the simple mention of Neeson’s name is enough to send the two movie lovers into slow-mo scene recreations and apoplectic paroxysms of delight.
You had to know these guys would meet the actor eventually. Now that he’s got a new movie to promote (Non Stop, opening February 28) the actor ended up caught between the two super-fans. Watch the skit below.
Here are the older sketches, in case you’ve missed them:
Finally, just in case you’re ready to cry foul that the show is using the sketch to cross-promote a movie, remember that Key and Peele have already used it as a promo for their own show:

Dwayne Johnson Heads to TV With HBO Football Sitcom ‘Ballers’

Finally, The Rock has come back to TV! Dwayne Johnson is quickly becoming one of the biggest action stars in the world, but he’ll soon put that aside to headline a new HBO show called Ballers. The half-hour dramedy follow a group of former and current football players and was just picked up to series. It’s being produced by its own all-star team including Mark Wahlberg, Peter Berg, who’ll direct the pilot, and Entourage‘s Stephen Levinson, who wrote the script.
The Hollywood Reporter wrote about the new show, which will co-star Omar Benson Miller, John David Washington, Rob Corddry, Troy Garity, Donovan Carter, Jazmyn Simon, Taylor Cole and LeToya Luckett. Johnson, who’s also producing, is the star though.
It’s an interesting move for Johnson, who has been making big action movies non-stop for the past few years, to move to TV. But, as the slogan goes, “It’s not TV, it’s HBO.” That brings a certain level of cache and, as we saw in Pain & Gain, Johnson is at his absolute best when he’s embracing some comedy to go with his brawn. Years as a main event wrestler will do that.
Johnson has long been a lover of football. He played for the prestigious University of Miami before getting injured. After that, he followed in his father’s footsteps to the WWF and the rest is history.
As a huge football fan, and fan of Johnson, this just catapulted to my must-see HBO list along with Utopia and The Leftovers.

Cool Stuff: Eighties Style Action Figures For ‘Back To The Future,’ ‘The Goonies,’ ‘Firefly,’ ‘Pulp Fiction’ And More
CoreyI am probably going to buy way more of these than I should.

These days action figures look too good. They’re all 3D scanned with multiple points of articulation, tons of accessories and beautiful packaging. That wasn’t always the case. In the Eighties, you got a basic likeness that barely looked like the character, four points of articulation and a simple card with plastic bubble. That was it. Kenner style.
ReAction Figures is bringing that back. They’ll soon release classic Eighties carded figures from properties that never got that treatment. Movies and shows like Back to the Future, The Goonies, Pulp Fiction, Firefly, The Terminator, Friday the 13th, Predator, The Rocketeer, Escape from New York and many more. They’re available for pre-order now on Entertainment Earth and you can check out some images below.
Thanks to Entertainment Earth for this images. Head to that link to see all of them, and pre-order, these are just some of the two pages of goodness.
These will start to hit shelves in June and cost $10 a piece. Head to EE for even more and to pre-order.
