Rimac unveils greyp G12 electric bike with 75 mile range, 40mph top speed
Rimac's Concept One has been something of an enigma, but there's no doubting that the EV maker has just taken the veil off its latest product -- the greyp G12 electric bike. If you're not sure if looks like a motorbike, or regular bicycle, that's okay, because Rimac claims it's both. It can do 40mph (unassisted) with a pedal-free range of 75 miles, after that, you're on your own. With an alleged charge time of 80 minutes (from zero), from any regular power outlet, the G12 could be a winner with city dwellers looking to get about town. Other neat tricks include fingerprint activated ignition that allows different digits to trigger the bike's two modes -- street or speed -- with profiles for up to 50 users available. There's no official word on price or availability, but if you want to become a "dealer," you could expect to take delivery of one as soon as October for 6,000 euros (about $7,900). Pedal past the break for a video of the greyp doing its thing.

Metal Gear Solid 5′s Characters Have Been Designed To Be More Erotic To Encourage Cosplaying
Back in 2011, Hideo Kojima revealed that the studio was working on Metal Gear Solid 5, and a trailer for the game has since been revealed at E3 earlier this year. While the graphics on the game is nothing short of stunning, it seems that Hideo Kojima has been paying extra attention to the design of the game’s characters as well, and it seems that making them more erotic has been on his agenda as of late. This was revealed by Kojima himself in a series of tweets, where he stated that he has been asking Metal Gear Solid 5’s art director, Yoji Shinkawa, to make the characters look more erotic.
According to Kojima, “I’ve been ordering to Yoji to make the character more erotic, and he did it well.” So what’s the reason behind making them more erotic? Fan service, perhaps? While he did not state that as one of the reasons, he did state that by making characters more erotic, “it will make u [sic] want to do cosplay or its figurine to sell well.” He then went on to post a picture of one of the characters in game, which he claims might not be cosplayable due to it being rather raunchy in nature. In any case we don’t expect the more erotic character designs to detract from the gaming experience, but we suspect it could be somewhat distracting at the same time. What do you guys think?
Nokia “Threatens” Android In New KitKat Parody Ad
Nokia has not shied away in the past when it comes to poking fun at their rivals through advertising, and in a recent tweet by Nokia Germany, they posted the photo above, saying “Have a break…” which is the tagline for the KitKat confectionary. The photo also depicts a Samsung Galaxy S3 being broken in half, sort of like telling Google they should be careful! Then again with Microsoft acquiring Nokia and throwing their weight behind Nokia’s cellphone division, it really does seem that Google along with Apple should start taking the competition more seriously if they haven’t already.
This comes after Google recently announced the latest version of Android, Android 4.4 KitKat. In fact KitKat did a little parody themselves by advertising the company’s product in the same fashion that Apple typically advertises their new products, complete with an English gentleman and all. We have to admit that this whole back-and-forth between companies through clever advertisements is a lot more entertaining for everyone compared to them suing the heck out of each other, but what do you guys think? Does Google truly have something to fear now that Nokia’s cellphone business will be part of Microsoft’s empire?

Girlfriend Who Slapped Driver Max Papis Hit With Indefinite NASCAR Ban

A number of incidents at the end of last week's NASCAR Truck race led to a near brawl between the crews of Max Papis and Mike Skeen. Skeen's girlfriend took things into her own hands, slapping Max Papis. Now NASCAR has shown its hand and banned Skeen's girlfriend from events indefinitely.

All The Cool Things The Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch Can Do
D Gnot sure if want

Samsung announced its first Android-powered smart watch called the Galaxy Gear today.
The Galaxy Gear syncs via Bluetooth with a new smartphone Samsung announced today called the Galaxy Note III. The smart watch has a tiny, 1.6-inch touchscreen display that shows you incoming texts, emails, and phone calls. It also has limited control functions for the Galaxy Note III.
The new device is a pretty significant step for Samsung. It's the first major smart watch to launch in the emerging wearable technology space. It's also significant because Samsung's chief rival Apple is said to be working on a smart watch of its own.
We got to spend some time with the Galaxy Gear today at Samsung's big launch event in New York. Check out how it works in the gallery below.
First thing's first. The Galaxy Gear needs to pair with Samsung's Galaxy Note III in order to work. You use a special app called Gear Manager to sync the two devices.

The Gear Manager app lets you change the kind of clock that appears on the Galaxy Gear screen.

Here's a fancy-looking analog clock.

An Optical Illusion Makes This Flat-Pack Lamp Look Not So Flat

The advent of online shopping has also meant an increase in flat-pack product designs that are cheaper and easier to ship around the world. Usually there are design sacrifices involved—see Ikea's product line for example—but Spain-based design studio Kutarq came up with this novel design for a lamp that's easy to ship but doesn't skimp on functionality.

This Is Your Chance To Buy Beautiful Nintendo Themed Art
We live in a day where a Nintendo themed art show is a thing. Isn’t it glorious? Bottleneck Gallery in Brooklyn is hosting the collection, and it opens this Friday. It’s massive. They’ve signed up over 50 artists to participate, and there are more than 180 pieces in the 3NES show. Art includes Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, and Metroid pieces among others, and I’m telling you – they’ve got super talented artists involved. I wish I could see the gallery in person.
See more Nintendo art in the show after the break…

If you want to purchase art but can’t make it to the New York gallery, be sure to keep an eye on the Bottleneck Gallery Facebook page. They’ll be putting everything on sale this Saturday (9/7) at 12pm Eastern time.

HDMI 2.0 Points the Way to True 4K TV

The promise of smart televisions — packed with Internet connectivity, DVR functions and a myriad of other, often obscure bells and whistles — has in recent years been eclipsed by 4K picture quality. However, technical limitations have hindered the deployment of so-called true 4K — until now.
Today, the non-profit HDMI Forum announced the release of HDMI 2.0, a new specification that will allow users to view 4K video at 60 frames per second as opposed to 30 fps, the previous limitation at 3,840 x 2,160 resolution in HDMI 1.4.

According to the HDMI Forum, the update offers up to four times the clarity of current 1080p video resolution. Additionally, the new spec will give users the ability to pump video at up 18 gigabits per second — a significant leap beyond the previous ceiling of 10Gbps. Read more...

Guy Puts Flamethrower on Mobility Scooter: Get outs the Way!
It is called Lord Humungous and it was created by 52-year-old Lance Greathouse from Phoenix, Arizona. “It” is a flamethrower attached to a mobility scooter. Lord Humungous cost about $1000 and a month of labor to create.

This deadly mobility scooter is made out of an electric golf cart, all terrain tires, and a helicopter seat. The flamethrower spits fire almost 10 meters away. It looks like it would fit right in during the apocalypse.

Greathouse Labs customizes wheelchairs for disabled people to reflect their personality, so that they don’t just have a boring ride. They also send out customized wheelchairs to the needy. Basically, everything they do is awesome. Fire! More fire!

Duck Hunt Decor: Oldschool Nintendo Zapper Chandelier
This is a chandelier made out of old Nintendo zappers by the folks at online used game/console store JJGames. It's not bad looking. It's maybe not the way I would have arranged the zappers, but I have an eye for shit. GOOD LOOKING SHIT. Still, not bad. Plus I think we can all agree it makes a nice complimentary piece to that ethernet cord dangling out of the ceiling in the background. Keepin' it classy!
