The hour is nigh — the first trailer from the resurrected fourth season of Arrested Development is now online, and it doesn’t disappoint. A more substantial first-look at Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series is set to air tonight, but eager viewers can get an early teaser on Vine. Not surprisingly, the 6-second clip is full of quick cuts and plenty of action, but it ultimately brings its focus to a major twist of the series introduction: that Agent Phil Coulson, a character believed to have died in The Avengers, is still alive. ABC picked up a season of the show based on a pilot written and directed by Joss Whedon, who was in charge of The Avengers as well. Though details on when the show will begin haven't been announced yet, a full teaser for the pilot episode will be airing tonight after the season finale of Once Upon A Time.

Pictured below is a new photo from the film, released by director Matt Reeves. It is, I think, exactly what you might hope to see from this film. Three words: apes on horses. (And Jason Clarke confronting them.) See the pic below.

Now, I lied a little — the shot doesn’t show apes on horses, but actors in mo-cap suits on horses. But you get the idea. (And one of the actors appears to be Andy Serkis.)

I don’t think there was much doubt that the TV show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be ordered to series at ABC, but here’s your confirmation. The show exec produced by Joss Whedon (who also directed the pilot) will air on the Disney-owned network, and extend part of the story of The Avengers into a more everyday thriller territory on television.

That’s the first official cast photo above, and the first look at footage from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air this weekend, Sunday, May 12, at 8 p.m. before of the season finale of Once Upon a Time.

THR reports that ABC picked up the show. Here’s the official description:

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Nokia just launched a new Asha phone on Thursday, but it's also spreading its Lumia-inspired design and color elsewhere. The Finnish smartphone maker is launching a new DC-18 portable USB charger that looks very similar to Microsoft's Windows Phone Live Tiles. While Nokia has previously launched an equally colorful DC-16 charger, the latest version swaps a tube design for a square. Nokia has also added a battery status indicator on the outside of the charger, providing a live view of the current charge level.

The charger matches Nokia's Lumia and Asha colors, available in cyan, yellow, magenta, and white. However, it only has a capacity of 1,720 mAh, so you're only going to be able to charge a device once before it needs topping up via...

She kicked ass in The Avengers, she’s kicking ass in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and soon Scarlett Johansson will continue her action star ways with one of the genre’s masters. Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element) has just cast Johansson in his upcoming film, Lucy. Besson wrote the script and will direct the film, which is about a woman forced to mule some kind of super-serum, gets infected by it and develops superhuman abilities. It’s kind of Crank meets the Hulk, with a woman at the center. 

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news of the deal and give a few more details on this premise:

She can absorb knowledge instantaneously, is able to move objects with her mind and can’t feel pain and other discomforts.

Universal Pictures will be handling worldwide distribution, and EuropaCorp is producing. They’re the foreign team behind the Taken franchise.

There’s no word on timeline for this one, but it certainly sounds like a solid concept with a great filmmaker and solid star. What do you think?

Credits sequences in Superman movies have almost always been amazing. Usually, John Williams’ iconic score plays a large part in that but with Man of Steel, Zack Snyder doesn’t have his music to fall back on. There’s a lot to live up to, in many ways.

For the credits sequence, though, maybe Snyder will take a hint from the design company Will & Tale. They’ve created a gorgeous, poignant credits sequence to the film, beautifully blending the tropes of modern society with the origins of the character. It’s not official or anything, just for fun, but it’s well worth your time.

Since Man of Steel is mostly about Clark Kent struggling with becoming Superman, I’m pretty sure this credits sequence won’t exactly fit with the tone or way Snyder will be unfolding his story. Nonetheless, it’s a strong piece of work. What do you think?

Like many fans, we’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of Man Of Steel since it was announced a few years ago. Taking inspiration from diehard fans who created unofficial title sequences for films such asAdventures of Tintin and X-Men: First Class, we wanted to see how far we could go with this same idea. The result is a passion project – the culmination of many long nights and weekends over the past three months.

The story we developed is a take on our favorite superhero, Superman. We created a narrative of news anchors and eyewitnesses highlighting major events throughout Clark Kent’s life. It was important to have Clark’s story told by the world and show how he has impacted the lives of others.

Nothing in the video has been pulled from a video game or other movie footage.  We created all the 2D/3D animations, compositing, articles, voiceover recordings, and more.

In an investor presentation, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata announced that Nintendo will skip the usual large-scale E3 press conference this year in favor of "a few smaller events that are specifically focused on our software lineup for the U.S. market."

One of these events will be for American distributors, with another closed event "for mainly the Western gaming media." Iwata noted that Nintendo is not planning to announce any new hardware at this E3, with showing off software the main focus.

While Nintendo is dropping a lot of mainstream press attention with this move, it makes a lot of sense for a company with the recent financial history of Nintendo to skip out on some expensive pageantry. Especially when the company makes E3-level announcements monthly, for a tiny fraction of the cost.

You can't quite draw Mario tableaux on your smartphone to share with your pals yet, but you can load up Miiverse on your computer or smartphone's web browser to look at your friends' stuff. Browser access to the Wii U's adorable social network has launched, in beta.

Load up the Miiverse site here and you'll be able to view your Activity Feed, friends list, and notifications, and "Yeah!" others' posts - pretty much everything but make new posts and new accounts.

Even though it's now accessible outside the Wii U, you still need to make a Nintendo Network ID on a Wii U in order to use Miiverse.

When Sony unveiled the PlayStation 4 two months ago, many were impressed to see Mark Cerny fronting the presentation as lead system architect; the industry veteran first made his name by designing the classic Marble Madness at the age of 18, and has since been described as "the closest we have come to a modern-day Da Vinci." Cerny hasn't spoken much about the PS4 since, but now a lengthy, in-depth interview with Gamasutra does a lot to explain the thinking behind the system's design.

Draw Something, the Pictionary-style game with a rollercoaster history, now has a sequel. Draw Something 2 for iPhone is available in the US App Store following launches in Canada and Sweden earlier this month. Among other additions, the game promises over 5,000 new words, more drawing tools, and a free draw mode, and can be downloaded as either a $2.99 premium app or a free, ad-supported game.

The original Draw Something had one of the most successful app launches of all time, leading Zynga to purchase developer OMGPOP for $180 million, but has since suffered a declining userbase. Zynga will now be hoping that Draw Something 2 is the game to turn the company around and make good on a pricey investment. There's no word on when or...

Even for fans of Sofia Coppola, the biggest interest in her new film, The Bling Ring, might be for the man behind the cinematography. The late Harris Savides shot the film, and though he was not able to see the project through to release, his touch is all over it. As anyone familiar with Savides’ work would expect, the film indeed looks gorgeous, with a restrained but perfectly composed color palette.

Granted, it doesn’t hurt that Savides and Coppola were able to train their lens on Emma Watson as the ringleader of a group of teen girls that robbed the homes of Los Angeles celebrities before the so-called “bling ring” was nabbed by cops. This first full trailer gives us a good look at the full span of the movie, from the kids’ initial flush of interest in the scheme, the rush of excitement in the robberies, and their total douchebaggery when caught.

A project once intended to be a feature film is getting a new, different life at HBO. Naoki Urasawa‘s manga Monster — about a disgraced doctor’s global search for a warped young criminal to whom he has very particular ties — is something that Guillermo del Toro was once negotiating to make at the movie studio. Now he and HBO are working together to turn it into a TV series.

Deadline reports that del Toro will direct the pilot, which will be scripted by Steven Thompson and del Toro. (A History of Violence screenwriter Josh Olsen had written the feature film version, which has evidently been scrapped.) The director will also act as exec producer. The site also mentions that Monster is a partnership with Don Murphy and Susan Montford of Angry Films and Gary Ungar of Exile — Murphy and Montford were players in del Toro’s bid to make At the Mountains of Madness at Universal. There’s no correlation beyond that, just a trainspotter’s sense of tallying figures.

Monster represents a great idea for a TV project — it spans many years and, in its manga and later anime incarnations, a large suite of characters.

The story, in short, sees a young doctor electing to save the life of a young boy rather than a visiting official. The doctor is disgraced, and years later, after rebuilding his life to some extent, he crosses paths with the boy once again. The doctor witnesses the boy commit an act of serious violence, and as a result is launched into an investigation of the boy’s past.

There’s a lot more to Monster than that, but in the interest of preserving some mystery we’ll leave it there. We’ll give you more news on Monster as it develops.

The people who translated Mother 3 to English say that if Nintendo ever wants to bring the quirky RPG to U.S. shores, the company can use their script. Free of charge.

Writing on the Mother 3 fan translation website, translator Clyde Mandelin says that if Nintendo were to ever localize the game, he'd be happy to give Nintendo the English script they released on the Internet in 2008.

Mother 3, you may remember, is the excellent Game Boy Advance sequel to Earthbound (which is called Mother 2 in Japan). Although Mother 3 never made it to the west, Mandelin and his team released a fan translation in 2008, and their script is great, full of wit and charm and ridiculous puns.

Earlier this week, Nintendo announced plans to finally re-release Earthbound in the United States: they'll bring it to the Wii U's Virtual Console later this year. This has led RPG fans to wonder: what about Mother 3?

Well, what about Mother 3? The chances of Nintendo localizing a Game Boy Advance game in 2013 are zilch, but some sort of digital release on the Wii U or 3DS eShop could do quite well for them—and earn some serious goodwill from RPG fans across Europe and North America. Nintendo would have to do far more than just swap in an English script, of course—localization is a time-consuming and expensive process—but fans sure would appreciate it. And I imagine a lot of curious gamers would want to know what the hype is all about.

Your move, Nintendo.

Sure, you might think you're a old school mobile phone gamer if you have fond memories of Nokia Snake, but the real cool kids were busy playing Space Impact [$0.99]. It was available on the Nokia 3310, the 5210, that weird sideways 5510, and a ton of those other bulletproof Nokia phones that seemed to have a battery that lasted for ages compared to modern smartphones. There's been a number of sequels and spinoffs over time, but Space Impact is the core game that every real Nokia gamer knew by heart.

Its available now, in all of its low-fi glory complete with ridiculously massive faux dot pitch for that old school feel:

Admittedly, what once was a pretty mind-blowing game to play on your phone a decade (or more) ago really doesn't stand up that well against the many other horizontal shooters available on the App Store... But, much like Snake 97, it is pretty cool spending a little time playing just for the sake of nostalgia. One weird thing about Space Impact is it isn't iPhone 5 widescreen compatible, but, really, of course it isn't, widescreen wasn't even a thing back in its day.

As authorities continue their relentless pursuit of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, another type of investigation has been developing online: a hunt for any digital footprint Tsarnaev might have left in the days and months preceding Monday's tragedy. Now, after the "uncovering" and subsequent dismissal of numerous fake accounts, it appears the 19-year-old's legitimate Twitter presence has discovered.

BroBible was first to reveal the @J_tsar account, owned by a user named Jahar, and the evidence pointing to its authenticity is quickly piling up. Are you scratching your head looking for an exotic, geek-oriented destination vacation? Dubai could be a strong option in the next few years. A series of images have gone online for a planned Marvel themed attraction called Marvel City, and it looks like comic book heaven. Every inch is infused with exciting views and cool rides.

The structure, designed by Falcon’s Warehouse, is expected to open in 2014, though construction isn’t quite moving at a fast space. Check out a huge gallery of images below.

Here’s how CBM says Falcon’s Warehouse described the 111,485 square foot venue, expected to draw 10,000 visitors a day.

As you explore the indoor ‘superhero city”, you’ll encounter one incredible attraction after another, with interactive experiences featuring some of the most advanced entertainment technologies and special effects ever devised. Along the way, you’ll also discover an assortment of ingenious educational/informational experiences that will propel you to a new understanding of the real-life scientific principles behind the superhero action.

The supercharged atmosphere of Marvel City gets much of its energy from the cleverly themed designed treatments and varied materials that give each floor its own distinctive character, tying the surroundings visually and texturally to that floor’s resident superhero. At the same time, the original background music is specific to each floor, giving the guest spaces a rich emotional dimension that perfectly reflects the mood of the surrounding attractions. It all adds up to a totally immersive guest experience that is endlessly intriguing…and often aw-inspiring. In a word, Marvel City is simply super.

A little research into Marvel City turned up this theme Park message board that includes several images of the proposed location last week. And it’s completely barren with one crane. So, who knows how long it’ll take for Marvel City to reach its potential glory, if ever. Either way, if the venue becomes half of what you see above, it’s going to be a bucket list destination for comic fans across the world.

نزلت عدة ألعاب عربية سابقاً على أجهزة الجوال، أغلبها للأسف شغل ترقيع ومجرّد “عبث” بأدوات يلعب فيها أحد المطوّرين عشان يتعلّم برمجة الألعاب بدون ما يهتم بالجودة. تبدأ مع الوقت كل ما حمّلت لعبة عربية تفكّر هل هي بتشتغل زين أصلاً ولا لا، قبل ما تفكّر هل هي ممتعة ولا لا.

لكن أمس نزلت لعبة استثنائية على الاندرويد اسمها “اللقاء”، من انتاج وتطوير عبدالله كونش وأحمد الحداد ومعن أشقر.

ليش استثنائية؟ خلني أقول لك ..

فكرة اللعبة بسيطة: شخص ضاع منه ابنه “وليد” في الغابه في الليل، ومهمتك تساعدة يلقى ابنه. التحكّم بسيط، عندك اربع اسهم تخليك تحرّك الشخصية، وزر يخلّي البطل يصرخ باسم ولده. فايدة الزر انه يطلع لك سهم يورّيك وين الاتجاه اللي المفروض تبحث فيه عن ولدك ثم يختفي بسرعه، زي ما تشوف في الصورتين اللي تحت. (تذكّرت مقطع Heavy Rain يوم الأب يدوّر عن ولده الضايع في السوق)

أول شي شدّني في اللعبة هو اعتمادها بشكل رئيسي على الصوت. لازم تشبك سماعات. لانك خلال بحثك عن ولدك، بتواجه “اشياء” ممكن تقتلك وتنهي مهمة بحثك. ما تقدر تقاتل هالاشياء، لكن تقدر تسمع صوتها من بعيد وتعرف اتجاهها عشان تتجنبه تماماً. لازم تتجنبها، لأن أول ما تشوفها أصلاً تخسر. جو مرعب قريب من لعبة Slender Man.

عدا ذلك ما كان فيها شي مميّز، حتى الموسيقى كانت عادية. لكن اضطريت ادوّر عن هالولد البثر عشان أنهي اللعبة واقدر اكتب عنها.

لكن يوم لقيت ولده أخيراً، صار شي غيّر رأيي عن اللعبة 160 درجة! وش هو؟ بخليك تجربها بنفسك، خاصة انها تجربه قصيره مره عموما يمكن ما تاخذ منك أكثر من ثلاث دقايق.

Here’s the big reveal of all the secrets Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. have hidden within the new Superman film, Man of Steel. Days ago we saw a grainy video broadcast featuring the villain General Zod (Michael Shannon) and his demand for humanity to hand over Kal-El / Superman (Henry Cavill). Now this new trailer shows not only what happens when Zod’s plan doesn’t go off in quite the way he hopes, but who Superman is and what makes him tick. Thankfully, all of that results in a lot more action.

I think I’m gonna need to watch that trailer a few more times to truly process it. There are so many tiny glimpses of awesomeness but, compared to what we’d previously seen, there is no comparison. Everything before this was peanuts. This three minute monster trailer shows the mega-budget, Superman movie we’ve been promised for years. One infused with the kind of action we know Zack Snyder can provide and emotional depth Christopher Nolan can provide. What’s your favorite shot in the trailer?

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures comes “Man of Steel,” starring Henry Cavill (“Immortals,” TV’s “The Tudors”) in the role of Clark Kent/Superman, under the direction of Zack Snyder (“300,” “Watchmen”).

A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.

The film also stars four-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams (“The Master”) as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, and Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne (“What’s Love Got to Do with It”) as her editor-in-chief, Perry White. Starring as Clark Kent’s adoptive parents, Martha and Jonathan Kent, are Oscar nominee Diane Lane (“Unfaithful”) and Academy Award winner Kevin Costner (“Dances with Wolves”).

Squaring off against the superhero are two other surviving Kryptonians, the villainous General Zod, played by Oscar nominee Michael Shannon (“Revolutionary Road”), and Faora, Zod’s evil partner, played by Antje Traue (upcoming “The Seventh Son”). Also from Superman’s native Krypton are Lara Lor-Van, Superman’s mother, played by Ayelet Zurer (“Angels and Demons”), and Superman’s father, Jor-El, portrayed by Academy Award winner Russell Crowe (“Gladiator”).

Rounding out the cast are Christopher Meloni (upcoming “42”) as U.S. military man Colonel Hardy, Harry Lennix (“State of Play”) as General Swanwick, Michael Kelly (“The Adjustment Bureau”) as Steve Lombard, and Richard Schiff (TV’s “The West Wing”) as Dr. Emil Hamilton.

“Man of Steel” is being produced by Charles Roven, Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Deborah Snyder. The screenplay was written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer & Nolan, based upon Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and published by DC Entertainment. Thomas Tull, Lloyd Phillips and Jon Peters are serving as executive producers.

Zack Snyder’s behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Amir Mokri (“Transformers: Dark of the Moon”); production designer Alex McDowell (“Watchmen”); editor David Brenner (“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”); and multiple Academy Award®-winning costume designer James Acheson (“Restoration,” the “Spider-Man” films) and costume designer Michael Wilkinson (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and 2,” “Watchmen,” “300”). The music is by Academy Award®-winning composer Hans Zimmer (“The Lion King,” “Inception”).

Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Syncopy Production, a Zack Snyder Film, “Man of Steel.” The film will be released in 3D and 2D in select theaters and IMAX®, and is slated for release on June 14, 2013. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

World 1-2, a new album produced by Mohammed Taher for the record label GameChops, is a collection of new material by relatively new voices like Super Hexagon composer Chipzel, and established artists like Mega Man's Manami Matsumae (who Taher's Koopa Soundworks connected to Yacht Club Games for Shovel Knight). Other artists on the eclectic mix include Danimal Cannon, Austin Wintory, Tecmo's Keiji Yamagishi, halc, and Akira Yamaoka.

The album will be released on May 2 for $10. Five sample tracks can be streamed here, in case the collected talent on the album isn't convincing enough.

An HD remake of the Sega Genesis platformer Castle of Illusion has been officially announced for summer 2013. Mickey Mouse stars in this revitalized Disney adventure, which joins Capcom and WayForward's Ducktales Remastered on modern systems.

According to PlayStation Blog, the game is being developed by Sega Studios Australia, which will reportedly be shuttered by year's end. The new Castle of Illusion will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC via Steam.

The movie brings Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones, Willow Shields back to roles they played in the first film, and adds Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Lynn Cohen, Meta Golding, Amanda Plummer and Jeffrey Wright. Mobile puzzle hit Puzzle & Dragons, in which players build teams of monsters and explore dungeons, leading them into combat through color-matching puzzles, is coming to 3DS this winter, according to scans of CoroCoro Magazine found by Siliconera.

The 3DS version, called Puzzle & Dragons Z, features 200 different monsters to battle with. The nature of the release is as yet unknown - the mobile versions are free-to-play, but that is exceptionally rare on 3DS (approximately zero games ever have used the model on the platform).
