A simple sandwich of mizuna, a peppery green a bit less assertive than arugula, pickled red onion, and ‘red miso short rib,’ which is to say beef short ribs pot-roasted with red miso. Deeper in flavor than white or yellow miso, it brings a saltiness and a rich umami flavor that would overwhelm lesser meats but pairs quite well with short ribs. The use of mizuna struck me as a bit curious, and I actually feel the stronger arugula would have been better suited to the sandwich. Was mizuna there just for the sake of being different, slightly fancier? I would have said yes, were it not for the large pile of mizuna that comes with the sandwich as a side salad. It would appear that mizuna is simply what they prefer to have on hand, and so in the sandwich it goes.

This wasn’t a bad sandwich, but I couldn’t help but feel like the short ribs deserved more. It’s almost too simple, and I think some notes of sweetness or something more spicy would have gone a long way towards perking it up.

After being in Winter Hibernation or…something, Max is back. Thought it might be a good idea to pass on the Stubbular Instruction Manual, just so you remember where all the important parts are.

Refreshing, delicious, and pretty-- I can't think of a more perfect cocktail than a Pimm's Cup to make for mom this weekend.  A few simple garnishes make this cocktail feel much more special than your standard brunch drink, and it is sure to make your Mother's Day meal feel like a celebration. I'll show you how to make a Pimm's Cup and I've shared a few of my favorite easy brunch recipes to pair with your drink.  Cheers!

Pimm's Cup

To an ice filled glass add 1 1/2 ounces Pimm's, 1 1/2 ounces gin, 1/2 ounce lemon juice, and top with ginger-ale. Garnish with mint leaves, sliced strawberry, sliced cucumber, and lemon.

Tim Lambesis of Christian metal band As I Lay Dying was arrested Tuesday night in a murder-for-hire plot. Because, you know, we fatties aren’t cool or attractive and we have no friends.  On the other hand, Flip Flops McGee here who apparently spilled bleach in his laundry (and in his hair?) is just way cool.  Gosh, I hope to be just like him.  He must be so popular.  Just look how attractive he is.

Kids like that at my high school were shunned. I went to an arts school though but they never looked cool to me anyways. 

Yeah I think perhaps this douche should be banned from wearing his own range if it’s only for “cool and attractive” people. Yeesh!

MIRACLE MILE: Yikes: something very nasty went down today between a car and the Miracle Mile sign at Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue. The sign at Wilshire and La Brea, incidentally, was destroyed by a car back in 2007 and, according to LA expert Chris Nichols, "hung in the trees and debris for a while and was finally hauled away and put out of it's misery." 引っ越しの際の最大の気がかりはまるですが、荷物の搬出時は風呂場で寝て待つという、
まさかの超よゆーっぷり。お風呂場にも結構な物音が響いてますが、気にする様子もなく。

搬出が終ると車での長距離移動となるため、夕食は車内で。もちろん完食。
車内でも騒ぐことなく、休憩時以外は大人しくキャリーに収まっている。
新しい家に到着すると、さすがに少し緊張しながらも、全てをチェック。

まるにとっては二度目の引っ越しですが、今回は予想以上に落ち着いていたまる。
場所が変わっても、ご飯も水分補給もトイレも完璧。
物陰で怯えることもなく、到着直後から新居の探検に大忙し。
慣れた人間が側にいれば、場所が変わっても案外大丈夫な様子。

My fellow Disney Parks Blog author Erin Catalano and I spent Friday morning in the Convention Center at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Representing Disney Theme Park Merchandise, we joined a special product showcase event that highlighted exciting things at Disney Parks.

We filled our 16-foot by 16-foot square booth with new merchandise debuting this summer to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. We gave an expanded look at Star Wars Weekends 2013 merchandise, along with a first look at new Disney Parks logo merchandise arriving this June. Rounding out our assortment, we displayed new Disney-inspired sunglasses by Ray-Ban, handbags by Dooney & Bourke, beautifully ornate shoe ornaments inspired by Disney characters, D-Tech electronic accessories and much more.

As you can imagine, I had a difficult time selecting only 10 images for this article. I’d love to hear which item is your favorite, so please share in the comments below.
