Wheelchair Freestylin'
The latest extreme sports video from Devin Supertramp features Aaron "Wheelz" Fotheringham, a "Professional Hardcore Sitter," as he calls it. Watch him tackle vertigo-inducing (for you) inclines and new stunts that sometimes end up in falls -all part of the job when you do this at the elite level.
Fotheringham was featured previously at Neatorama when he achieved the world's first double backflip in a wheelchair. That video might make you dizzy, too.

Barbary Sheep Imitates the Man He Rammed Off a Cliff
We've probably all seen the mashup video of goats screaming like humans, but the ram in this video does a dead-on impression of a guy falling off a cliff. There's something about the look in the eye of this barbary sheep that tells me this might be an evil mockery of his last "ramming" victim...

Lars von Trier May Still Release 5 1/2 Cut of ‘Nymphomaniac’; See Two More Posters
Last week, producer Peter Aalbaek Jensen revealed that the cut of Nymphomaniac that’d make it to Danish theaters wouldn’t be the one Lars von Trier wanted to make. His director’s cut was a butt-numbing 5 1/2 hours long, prompting distributors to whittle it down to a more marketable four hours.
However, Jensen now adds that the longer version could find a release after all, if von Trier really wants it to. It’ll just have to go through alternate routes. Hit the jump to read his explanation, and to check out two more steamy posters.
Jensen clarified the situation in an interview with AlloCine (translation via The Playlist):
It does exist, a version that’s 5 1/2 hours long, and it contains deeply explicit scenes, but it’s not yet finished and cannot be projected in normal conditions. Moreover, nobody in our camp has seen it. Like many other distributors worldwide, we signed right from the beginning for a 4 hour version and that’s the one we decided to release in two parts, the first on January 1st and the other on January 29th [in France]. After that, it belongs entirely to Lars Von Trier to show his personal version, why not in a large festival or in a DVD or Blu-ray Collector’s Edition?
The original report suggested that von Trier was willing but not necessarily happy to give up the final cut. Insiders claimed the director hadn’t even seen the four-hour version, and Jensen said, “The short version is against Lars’ own will, but he accepts it because he understands market mechanisms.” So it’s encouraging to hear that von Trier may yet get a chance to show us his personal vision, even if the regular theatrical version isn’t it.
U.S. distributor Magnolia has not stated which edit will screen in American theaters, but it’ll likely be the shorter one. And it may be blurrier than the one shown in Denmark. While Jensen says that the edits were “purely for commercial reasons” and not to excise the hardcore material, distributors in different countries will be able to blur the explicit scenes as they see fit.
While we wait to see what von Trier decides what to do with his cut, take a peek at two more orgasmic posters below. One zooms in on Charlotte Gainsbourg‘s sex face, while the other zooms out to show the rest of the main cast including Shia LaBeouf, Connie Nielsen, Stellan Skarsgard, Jamie Bell, Stacy Martin, Christian Slater, Uma Thurman, and Willem Dafoe.

‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Set for May 2015 Release

Warner Bros. has chosen a berth for the fourth Mad Max film from writer/director George Miller. Mad Max: Fury Road, in which Tom Hardy takes over the title role from original star Mel Gibson, will be in theaters (in 3D) on May 15, 2015. That’s two weeks after Avengers: Age of Ultron and one week before Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland.
We’ve still seen almost nothing from the film, which is now doing some additional photography to add extra sequences. The shot above is the only one of Hardy in character, and aside from many photos of the cars used in the movie, we’ve seen no other photos or video. There’s a video game trailer (that game is scheduled for 2014) but we’re still pretty much in the dark on this one.
That’s not unusual for a movie that is a year and a half away, but it is unusual given that most of Mad Max‘s shoot was done in 2012.
We do know the cast, however: Charlize Theron is Imperator Furiosa, and Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Jones, Zoë Kravitz, Riley Keough, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are in the film. Hugh Keays-Byrne, who played the Toecutter in the first film, returns in a new role.
Miller has described the plot: “Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.”
This May 2015 release date is also almost exactly thirty years after the release of the last film, Mad Mad Beyond Thunderdome, which hit on July 10, 1985. Why didn’t WB go for the spot-on 30-year anniversary release date? Likely because it would be only days before the release of Batman vs. Superman, which is scheduled for July 17, 2015. [Nikki Finke]

Bombernauts is a lovely mix of Smash Bros. and Bomberman
What a pleasant little surprise Bombernauts is turning out to be. It's an online multiplayer game in which players try to knock one another off a platform that can be chipped away with bombs. So many bombs. In fact, there isn't a limit to how many can be thrown. The part I most like the sound of is that, once slain, you become a ghost that can throw ghost bombs and, after a successful kill, you'll return to the battlefield as a zombie. Last one standing wins.
Bombernauts is being made by Tyler Glaiel of Closure fame, if you can believe it. The team also has artist Sven Ruthner and composer Danny Baranowsky on board (that I can believe). Although online multiplayer is the focus, local play is on the team's to-do list, as are custom game modes and power-up customization "similar to the Super Smash Bros. series."
If you're liking the sound of this all, the game will be released on Steam next year.

The Perpetual Cycle

Let's hear it for excessive earwax! And you know, once you get past the prejudices you've heard, it becomes easier to actually meet some of those horrible and nasty people who carry flags of a different color than yours -whether that represents nationality or favorite sports team. Can you imagine if one of the earlier children were colorblind? That would have broken the cycle earlier, but then imagine if a child were both colorblind and slightly deaf. He'd just be confused. Tears of joy and tears of sadness look different under the microscope

We can cry because we're happy. We can cry because we're sad. We can cry because we're cutting onions. We can cry just because we need to cry. They're all completely different emotions... but are they different tears? Photographer Rose-Lynn Fisher wanted to find out in her series The Topography of Tears. She put dried tears from all different kinds of situations under the microscope to see what's different between them all.
One chart exposes the racial preferences of online dating

Quartz has dug up a rather sad chart that reveals the racial preferences of online daters. Judging from data from Facebook dating app Are You Interested, you can see how different races respond to each other under the veil of the Internet. Most women respond positively to white men, while most men respond positively to Asian women. On the flip side, most women and all men have the lowest response rates when it comes to black men and women.

Lotteria's Newest Burger Features Bacon Cubes and Truffle Sauce

Tokyo-based burger chain Lotteria isn't one to shy away from creative toppings and showy, stunt-burgers. Some creations they've rolled out this year include a Nine Patty Cheeseburger, a Menya Musashi Ramen Burger (a seasoned, lightly charred ramen "patty" topped with stewed barbecue pork and mayo), and a Napoli Panda Burger (a beef patty topped with spaghetti and tomato sauce on a bun stamped with an image of a panda), among others.
The chain's latest creation is the Bacon Cube Deluxe Cheese Burger (¥490, $4.90 USD), a beef patty topped with two types of melted cheese, creamy truffle sauce, and cubes of bacon. Yeah, cubes. With their fatty sheen and marbling, they look like porky croutons. Promo shots can be deceiving, but if this burger is half as good as it looks, I want one!
If you feel the same, the new burger will be available at Lotteria locations starting November 29th, for a limited time.

20 Cool Facts About Pulp Fiction

These days, a $5 milkshake isn't all that unheard of, but Pulp Fiction is still a brilliant movie that (mostly) doesn't feel dated. If you're a big fan of the flick, you certainly won't want to miss this cool Uproxx article featuring 20 neat facts about Pulp Fiction. For example, Vincent Vega's Malibu seen in the film actually belonged to Tarantino and was stolen while the movie was in production -the car was only recovered by police earlier this year!

By the way, the note about Fruit Brute not being around any more isn't entirely true. They just re-released the product for Halloween this year. In fact, I have a box in my cupboard right now.
A Laser-Guided Pizza Cutter Guarantees Perfectly Proportioned Slices

If you're getting delivery, your pizza already comes pre-sliced. But if you're making it at home, when cutting up that pie you'd better make sure everyone gets the same-sized slice lest you start a family feud that could go on for generations. And since nobody wants that, ThinkGeek created this brilliant laser-guided pizza cutter that keeps your slices on target.
