Instead of making the Marky Mark Transformers sequel, Michael Bay should have just sent in this sick, non-stop supercut of every single robot fight scene from the Transformers trilogy to theaters. Yep. This video is an orgy of explosive metal on metal battle scenes without any of the pesky humans screwing it up. I would love to see this IMAX.
Here's the official, anted up sequel to First Kiss, called Undress Me, which means "strangers" are taking off each other's clothes now in a video to promote the new season of Masters of Sex. It doesn't quite have the well acted charm of the original and you feel more like a voyeur this time around but watching beautiful people act clumsy around each other kind of soothes your inner awkward teenage soul in a "Hey, they're just like us!" kind of way.
Even though I love today's 3D animation movies made with CG, there's something about seeing old fashioned hand-drawn animation that makes me feel like I'm peering into another world of breathtakingly fluid characters dancing on paper. Former Disney animator Glen Keane was a master at such animation and is responsible for creating characters we adore like Ariel, Aladdin, Beast and more. It's World Turtle Day today—an annual celebration created by the group American Tortoise Rescue to generate admiration and conservation mojo for these shell-toting reptiles.
Turtles, tortoises, terrapins: Whatever they're called, as a group they date back to the Late Triassic Period, around 220 million years ago, making them among the most ancient of contemporary reptiles.
They can range widely in size: Among the smallest is the bog turtle, which tops out at 4.5 inches and about 4 ounces. The largest is the leatherback sea turtle, which can grow to over six feet long (shell edge to shell edge) and weigh from 500 to 2,000 pounds.
Something these two species share, however, is that they—and many other turtle species around the world--are having a hard time surviving into the 21st century:
The National Wildlife Federation recently reported that 2010's Deepwater Horizon oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is still affecting many marine species, with around 500 dead sea turtles found in the area every year since 2011-- "a dramatic increase over normal rates."
Over 150 freshwater turtle species (like the box turtle) face equally existential risks worldwide. The New York-based Wildlife Conservation Society is leading a project to breed endangered turtle "assurance colonies": captive populations that, if successful, help assure a species' long-term survival, even if goes extinct in the wild. (Elizabeth Kolbert visits several assurance colony breeding programs--the Hail Mary passes of species conservation--in her book "The Sixth Extinction.") In December the society announced the hatching of five Chinese big-headed turtles, among the world's most endangered turtle species.

The Social Security Administration just released its 2013 list of baby names in the United States. And once again, Game of Thrones rules. There were 1135 Aryas, 241 Khaleesis and 67 Daeneryses born in 2013. And 15 Theons and five Robbs. But some new names also came on the scene.
If you have Celiac, this obviously doesn't apply to you. Don't eat gluten. But if you don't have Celiac—and that's 99% of the human population, mind you—there's no reason to be gluten free. You're wasting your time. Even the scientist who started this gluten free craze thinks it's useless to be gluten free. Seriously. People, the father of gluten free think it's bullshit.
Even as Google continues expanding its Maps—going as far as documenting polar bear migrations—the company has to regularly dispatch their Street View cars to places they've already been: cities change, and it takes another lap to keep Maps up to date. That means major metropolises—Singapore, New York—have been updated as much as eight or nine times since Google's tool first launched. Now, you can finally take a look at all those past snapshots.
Starting this morning, when you check out Google Maps, you'll see an inconspicuous clock in the corner of your screen: click it, and you'll be able to toggle between past versions of Maps, then watch the results of urban gentrification or economic collapse, natural disasters or fiscal fortune, unfurl before your eyes. (Fun fun fun!)
The project is a different way of instantly looking at a city or town's evolution: it's one thing to hear about the rise of the Williamsburg waterfront or Freedom Tower, or read about the havoc of a post-Sandy New Jersey, but it's another to see an instant, on-demand before-and-after.
Although that won't necessarily be an option uniformly available to everyone. Street View, as seamless as it feels, consists of snapshots; a van takes a 360-degree photo every so many feet. Vinay Shet, Google Street View product manager, told me that adding snapshots of what each location looked like in the past required doubling the total amount of photo stills stored on Maps—a huge overhaul. But for every area with seven snapshots, there are many more remote spots where Google's vans have only made one sweep. If you're looking to relive the construction of your personal shed in the Alaskan wilderness, you're probably out of luck.
Then again, even for urbanites, the time-tourism in foreign locales looks like the best part. (There's even a Doc Brown that stands in for the Street View peg-limbed dude.) Here's a look, in GIF form.
I have a confession: I have not watched The Lego Movie yet. I know, I know. I am a terrible human. My childhood self would shake his head so hard. Heck, my adult self is shaking my head at me! I'm going to watch it ASAP now though. Because after watching this "blooper" reel from The Lego Movie, I'm curled up in a ball laughing so hard that my abs will laughercise itself into a rock hard 2x4 red lego brick. It's just so much fun.

I never really understood complimentary colors, which makes sense, because I did horribly on that section of Color. It's an incredibly simple game that will drive you mad trying to get a perfect score.
