Tom WrightI love clever rap.
A rather entertaining rap song by artist Andrew Huang where e is the only vowel used.
we get berserk
we beseech herds: keep speech clever
we get knee-jerk effects
never need reckless reefer
when we feed text – sweet dessert
free verse?

Tom WrightWatched the trailer. Looks like something I can get into.

Two years in the making, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist the live action webseries, is finished and all episodes are now viewable online at Machinima’s YouTube channel.
Or you could head after the break and start watching all 12 episodes now. Fight!

Tom WrightThat Firefly photo is pretty great.

Last weekend in London was the Spring edition of the MCM Comic Con event, and as with last time, Nick Acott from Sneaky Zebra was acting as our eyes at the expo! Here are some of the best costumes we “ran” into during the weekend! Check ‘em out!
If you’re in the UK and need a great photographer for a special event, Nick is an awesome and very professional guy to get in touch with!
Tom WrightThe Pikachu one is pretty legit.
We just got word that new Darling Army creations are coming soon and, considering that we’re huge fans, we wanted to make sure we showed them off. With new Zelda, Pokemon and more, there’s lots of great new cosplay pinafores and aprons to check out.
Head after the break to see more of the new Darling Army collection.

Tom WrightMy sister sent me a screen shot like this, and I had to talk to her about phone-battery care.
It's a big deal.
Tom WrightHumorous, but ultimately untrue. The Flash has super-reflexes.
And is easily the best superhero of all time.
If we were just considering Marvel, it'd be The Hulk.
In true Lynchian fashion, the heebie-jeebs of this video by Samuel C. Spitale sneak up on you. “Ok, he just cut Jedi clips together in a weird fashion, it’s kinda funny… HOLY S***, BOB.” And then the Red Room backwards talking talking happens, and that’s never not terrifying. It could be in Adventure Time and I’d still shudder.

Tom WrightThe world needs to know.
Some of the outfits in Metal Gear Solid V don’t exactly provide full coverage, and the sniper Quiet is barely wearing anything. Hideo Kojima, director and more on the series, says the purpose behind that design and others was to be erotic.
Check out the tweets after the break (mildly NSFW)…
The initial target is to make u want to do cosplay or its figurine to sell well.

The character I asked Yoji to make it more erotic, this one may not be cosplayable.

Dear Cosplayer friends, something like this for example. pic.twitter.com/SWkN3BSDFy

Well, Kyle Mistry made it cosplayable. I hope he hangs out with the guy who recently cosplayed Lara Croft.
When @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN said he wanted people to cosplay Quiet, don't think this is what he had in mind. Soon, Fanime. pic.twitter.com/bSmFcRhDpb

Tom WrightThis comic is pretty funny (the whole thing, not just this strip, but it's pretty great too).
Tom WrightHilarious. Absolutely loved it.
You wouldn’t think you could turn the warm and fuzzy world of Frozen into a horror movie, but you’d be wrong. This video takes the scenes you know from the film, but splices them all together in a very disturbing way. Add in choice bits of dialogue and music fit for the latest slasher flick, and you have a version of Frozen that definitely is not safe for the kiddies.

Tom WrightFunded. BAM. Thanks everyone for helping out. Please let everyone know they can get in for as little as $1. Thanks!
A kind backer just pledged the last little bit to push us to our funding goal of $500! 4 days in and, barring anyone dropping their pledge, we are set.
Thanks everyone for pledging and helping me get this book to the editor. I’m excited to see the final product, and I’ll let you know of any updates as soon as I have them.
Please pass this along to anyone you know that’s interested in popcorn fantasy! They can get in for as little as $1.

Tom WrightPretty good, starting them young.
Tom WrightCan it be intentional?
Tom WrightThis looks... unbelievably good.
I’m not too sure about this one, but it features zombies and ninjas… and it looks pretty cheesy, so I’ll definitely be checking it out! I haven’t seen any synopsis of the plot, so I can’t tell you much more about it unfortunately, apart from the fact that it’s supposed to be released on August 5th on video on demand platforms.

Tom WrightPretty legit.
It’s important to stay safe while you’re fighting bad guys, eating pizza, training under Splinter, or just riding your bicycle or skateboarding. You can protect your head and look cool with these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle helmets. There’s a design for everyone with Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo plastic masks. They even have fabric ties for a more realistic, costume look!
The helmets are certified for safety and sized for kids 5 and up.
See helmets for the rest of the turtles after the break.

Tom WrightHonest Trailers are the best. Period.
From Screen Junkies:
“Days of Future Past” is almost here, featuring every X-Man ever. We decided to look back at the original X-Men trilogy, which spawned two great movies and one that should have been optic-blasted into oblivion.
Tom WrightI have to have a girl-child so I can dress her up in gender-bent dark villain costumes. I'll call her Tara Dactyl.
Tara Dactyl Voldermort!
Tara Dactyl Joker!
Darth Tara Dactyl!
Wherever R2-D2 goes, he brings magic with him. Kids chase after him, and he makes adults smile. At Emerald City Comicon, a LEGO R2-D2 (L3-G0) encountered a little girl in a Darth Vader costume and their interaction will melt your heart. Darth Lily carries on a conversation with R2-D2, and when she realizes the astromech is afraid of her Vader mask, she removes it and hugs him. Cue the chorus of “Awwws.”
Flail over the cute in the video after the break.

Tom WrightThis is oddly therapeutic.
From the guys from the Slow Mo Lab:
In this video, Taras and Dima are Destroying Piggy Banks in Super Slow Motion. Filmed with a Phanton V2010.
Tom WrightGreat trailer, to hopefully a great movie. I'm really stoked to see this one. But not enough to brave the movie theaters for it.
Tom WrightSo I had to add my own blog in order to post this.
It's weird to follow my own blog on here.

For the next 14 days, you can back Apex Rising on Kickstarter. It’s been live for less than 2 hours, and we’re already over $100! (because someone already bought the reward level of choosing a name in my upcoming series, but hey, a victory is a victory)
Please go check it out, and make sure to watch through the end of the video to see Bear the actor dog.
Thanks for being awesome!
EDIT: Remember that one time that I said we were over $100? Well, only 4 hours in and we’ve hit 60%. I’m feeling a lot more confident now than I was 5 hours ago. Thanks everyone!
Tom WrightThere is that...

Or you could just smile and say thank you. You know, whatever makes you happy.
A comic post on Saturday? Sorry for the wacky post schedule this week. We promise we’ll get our act together next week.
Tom WrightThose kids' parents probably felt bad and put money in the jar, that they otherwise wouldn't have donated.
Good job, kids. Your easy enthusiasm costs your parents millions each year.
In just a mere 30 seconds, this guy is already better than Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise.

Tom WrightThis and the 'basic' one, I love these.
Binge-watching whole TV series at a time is a very dangerous practice, you should all already be aware of that, right?

Tom WrightTerror from the deep? Or... Bear-er from the deep?!!!
Okay, so not really that terrifying since it’s a life vest for your dog with a bright blue fin on the back. Still, this life vest will keep your pooch floating even if he gets too tired to paddle, and the fin is even functional. Should you need to grab your dog, it’s like a built-in handle. All the most stylish dogs are sure to be sporting shark fin life vests this summer.

Tom WrightI love these Realistic Mario videos.

Things rarely turn out well for Mario and his brother Luigi in Pete Holmes’ sketch comedy series, Realistic Mario. In a previous episode, Mario found out that slamming your head into a floating brick really, really, really hurts. But in this latest video, Mario discovers that cute dinosaurs like Yoshi are, at the end of the day, still flippin’ dinosaurs. Which means they like to kill and eat things. A lot.
