Spiked Egg Nog and Christmas Sweaters Don't Mix and Other Knitting Fables
Phil and Hil firmly believed that the family that sweats together stays together. Or at least saves enough money on yarn to partially pay for the counselling that their children Will and Lil would need further down the road.
Peter was thrilled to have found the perfect sweater to wear for his favourite Christmas tradition: his annual viewing of Aristocats with his three wittle fur babies.
Annabelle had finally figured out the perfect way to get the attention of that hot new company sales rep at the office Christmas party.
Unbeknownst to Annabelle, Chuck from the mailroom had similarly been planning to get her attention.
Candy had finished knitting matching Christmas sweaters for herself and Lolly just in the nick of time for the holiday season. Now, she thought, it was time to begin on their Valentine's Day and St. Patrick Day outfits.
The perfect sweater for the leg lamp owner whose partner accidentally broke it. Though this sweater might up getting accidentally shrunk in the wash.
The perfect sweater to gift along with that Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Alien DVD box set.
Tim saw a Christmas sweater as only the beginning of his look and pulled out all the stops of his God-given ability to accessorize.
Sometimes when Christmas sweaters combine with too much spiked eggnog, it's all too much of a good thing.
"Merry Freaking Christmas to you too, pal."

12 Modern Indoor Pools
If you live in a northern climate, chances are you’re craving sunshine right about now. But what if you had an indoor pool, so you could at least pretend it was summer? That would help. Interestingly, many of these 12 pools are in warmer spots, but play with the idea of blending indoor and outdoor space.

Paulo Marto and Paul Acland of London-based Paul+O Architects designed this pool area which looks to be partially in and partially outdoors. The minimalist design, in white and gray concrete, is a stark juxtaposition to the landscape.
This lap pool cum hot tub was designed by GRAS Arquitectos, a firm based in Palma de Mallorca. The wood ceiling is echoed in the decking, but the walls are white and glass, keeping the overall feel light and airy.
Ambramson Teiger Architects of Culver City, California, designed this contemporary home with a double height indoor pool area that opens onto an outdoor patio. Look to the left—a glass wall peeks into a room on the other side.
Chicago-based firm Northworks Architects + Planners converted an existing 19th century barn into a beautiful home clad in vertical wood and topped with a standing seam metal roof. Of course, every barn needs an indoor lap pool, especially if it’s located in Michigan.
Vanguarda Architects designed this extensive pool house in Buenos Aires. The pool seems to extend right through the building’s large plate windows, where it then drops off to a lagoon. A double height sitting room functions as the indoor patio.
Russian architect Nicholas Lyzlov designed this indoor pool covered in variegated green mosaic tile, which contrasts beautifully with the wood slat ceiling above. At one end, a wall looks to be embellished with protruding concrete blocks.
Cadas Arquitetura, based in Rio de Janeiro, designed this stunning wood decked, mosaic tiled pool. Narrow double doors lead out to a wooded yard. Definitely a tropical delight.
While the kitchen of this home, located in a suburb of Buenos Aires, is indoors, the pool is technically (mostly) outdoors, though covered by an overhang. Designed by Estudio Botteri-Connell, the rambling home, called Bunker House, is comprised of long horizontals, topped in the middle by a concrete-like second story.
Chicago area firm New Space Architects designed this sleek white contemporary residence, with a pool that slices through it. Though it looks to be outdoors, if you look up, you’ll see it’s covered by a glass skylight. Two glass catwalks cross over the pool, and plenty of glass railings keep the space crystal clear.
Palais Rasumofsky was built for the former Russian ambassador under Czar Alexander during the time of the Viennese Congress of 1806. Recently, architecture firm Baar Baarenfels undertook the renovation, hired by contemporary art collectors who commissioned its conversion into an art foundation and private residence. The concrete wall lends a modern feel to the simple indoor pool.
Located in Bangladesh, this three story residence is constructed of cast-concrete, with vernacular wood-frame windows. Architecture firm Shatotto, devised a water-courtyard for the swimming pond in the middle of the house to ensure privacy.

Puppies Trying to Paint a House Is Ridiculous. They're PUPPIES.
In the spirit of asking animals to do things that are not their jobs (cuddling, licking their anuses), these puppies have been tasked with painting an entire house (that was probably built by piglets). They're cute and all, but can they finish the job under budget? (I would totally watch this HGTV show.)
