The group that helped legalize marijuana in Colorado has come to Austin
A marijuana advocacy group thinks legal pot is just a few years away in Texas and they are operating out of Austin. The Marijuana Policy Project says they are the main reason that pot is now legal in Colorado. Legislative Analyst Chris Lindsey says it makes financial sense. Lindsey says Marijuana prohibition has been a colossal failure, and does nothing to keep pot of the hands of children. They would like to see it legal, but controlled in the same ways as alcohol.

UN Report on Global Warming Warns of "Severe and Irreversible" Changes

Basically, we're fucked: According to the report, the damage from global warming is likely to be "severe, pervasive and irreversible" and will almost certainly lead to environmental and economic disaster, including widespread famine in the world's poorer countries.
