Both Xbox 360 and PS3 can pick up Payday 2's Lootbag DLC, previously a pre-order exclusive, for $5 today. Inside the Lootbag, players will find some extra in-game cash, a red dot sight compatible with all rifles and shotguns, a skull mask, black and red mask customization color scheme and an "I Love Overkill!" mask emblem.

Developer Overkill Software has also announced a Payday 2 demo has infiltrated Xbox Live today. The demo is coming to PS3, Overkill says, though timing has yet to be determined.

Payday 2, a game where four crooks band together to pull off heists and other illegal jobs for wealthy drug lords and psychopaths, launched back in August for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. In our review, we lauded the game's co-operative play and "nonstop series of little stories and moments of surprise" that happen every time the four embark on a job.

Machinima has partnered with Microsoft to produce an upcoming Xbox One-exclusive companion app offering in-game guides, reviews, and video content alongside gameplay.

By using the Xbox One's "snap" functionality, players will be able to pin the Machinima app atop gameplay, giving access to game-specific help and other site content. An in-depth feature dubbed "Machinima Wingman" will provide additional tutorials and strategy videos for select games.

Machinima announced a similar product for SmartGlass devices, which will offer the same features as its Xbox One console app. Machinima's Xbox One app will launch on November 22.

Yep, you read that headline right: a Firefly board game, and apparently, the game is really fun!

In Firefly: The Game – based on the popular Firefly television series created by Joss Whedon – players captain their own Firefly-class transport ship, traveling the ‘Verse with a handpicked crew of fighters, mechanics and other travelers. As a captain desperate for work, players are compelled to take on any job — so long as it pays. Double-dealing employers, heavy-handed Alliance patrols and marauding Reavers are all in a day’s work for a ship’s captain at the edge of the ‘Verse. A male student brings a gun on campus and shoots himself during lunch at Lanier High School. It happened in the school's courtyard just after noon today. At a press conference no specifics about the student were given, but AISD Superintendent Meria Carstarphen did have words of condolence.

She says "We're certainly saddened to know that during his time here with us, that it lead to such a tragic end to his life". Counselors will be at Lanier for most of the week to help students and faculty through this incident. School was dismissed for the rest of the day, but is expected to resume tomorrow.

The Government factory might be shut down, but Ark Music Factory is up and running and they’ve pumped out another obnoxious and catchy adolescent shitshow in Alison Gold’s single “Chinese Food.”

Holy hell, this is harrowing. This past weekend, Delorean, an electronic-pop act from Barcelona, performed at the Mexican installment of the Mutek Festival and on Monday morning, they were still at their Mexico City hotel when an emergency call came in, urging them to vacate the premises due to a shootout. They complied—and were taken hostage.
