Limited edition Coca-Cola cans that I designed inspired by Space Invaders the video game. This was a school project, not affiliated with Coca-Cola.
‘Space Invaders’ VS ‘Space Invader’… The first is a video game made in Japan that became extremely popular in the 80’s. The second is the code name for a 21st century urban pixel artist from Paris who pastes up Space Invaders inspired art on streets all around the world. Space Invader the artist is famous among urban youth and creative people around the world.
Similar to Space Invaders art, these pixel creatures are invading the human world. They have taken over the walls of Paris, Amsterdam, New York, LA, and now they are targeting Coca-Cola cans across the world, turning everything in their path to pixels.
A sign of the times , fashion’s cycle and maybe the need for Manolo Blahnik to play in the ‘it shoe’ category we just spotted the 2002 suede and leather ankle’Timberland’ inspired boots at Saks. Some reminders can be found in Jay Z and Beyonce’s ‘Bonnie and Clyde and in J.Lo’s ‘Jenny from the Block’ . The one update I can see e is the black ankle tab instead of a brown.The fashion geek in me me want to camp a bit on the symbolism of this re-issue but i’ll spare you a tirade. What I will say is that this boot comes at a perfect time where style influences are more than ever a broad mash-up of all eras and cultures. Get them here. One more picture on the flip.
The fashionable alternatives to the gold, silver and bronze medals at this year’s Olympic Games comes in the form of Miu Miu’s special capsule collection. A series of madras Bauletto bags, nappa matelassé bags, nappa silk lace-up shoes and high heels sandals in the shades of the medals; gold, silver and bronze are available at selected boutiques in London from July 27.

The miniature people inhabiting the fine art photographs of Christopher Boffoli live in a world of enormous food. A place where towering ice cream cones are turned into camping tents, where a field of peppercorns becomes a soccer match, and a savage crawfish threatens a group of men. The photos are as absurd as they are delightful. Erin Wasson does a big solid for Australian label One Teaspoon, by modeling for a a lookbook, entitled “Love Cats.” There are a couple of items that are just fab–like the leather and jersey dress above, but mostly we’re crushing on the gorgeousness that is Ms. Wasson. Use a butter knife to scrape eyeshadow out of it’s container (You can use old/cheap eyeshadow) and crush it up on a piece of paper so that it’s in a powder consistency
Using a bottle of clear nail polish, roll your paper into the shape of a funnel and add the eyeshadow into the bottle. You might want to empty come of clear nail polish out before so it doesn’t overflow (or use nail polish that’s opened already)
Use a toothpick to mix up the color into the bottle. Shake until all the powder is evenly distributed.
Once an early 90s footwear staple, jelly shoes are making something of a comeback.

Nieves Alvarez continues to impress, giving us three new fresh looks on Saturday for her ‘Solo Moda’ TV show.
She started off wearing an Andrew Gn Spring 2012 floral-print halter dress with a tulip skirt.
I’m so glad she wore her hair up with this look to show off the beaded details, but I am missing the beaded blue waistband.
Jimmy Choo sandals and an Oscar de la Renta cuff perfectly accessorized this look.
Nieves’ hemline was considerably shorter for her second look. I love her rose-gold Christian Louboutin pumps which were added to her Frankie Morello Fall 2012 coral long-sleeve gold-studded mini dress. Not many could pull off this look.
After showcasing her enviable long legs for the first two looks, Nieves opted for a more sophisticated ensemble wearing a Pinko Fall 2012 look which included a crisp white shirt and green pants styled with Pandora jewels.
I absolutely love the coral Christian Louboutin pumps with this look. It may have been forgettable without them.
It takes a brave woman (with perfect pins) to pull off an ultra-mini dress, so the Frankie Morello dress is my favourite. The addition of the rose-gold pumps was genius.
