Magnets Turn Your Fridge Into Giant GameBoy
This isn’t going to look so hot on a stainless steel fridge, but if you’ve got the white version, the FreezerBoy Refrigerator Magnets will give it some gamer appeal. It’s a set of magnets meant to emulate the look of a GameBoy, with the screen measuring 16inches by 12 inches. Being magnets, they’ll leave no trace on your fridge when you remove them, and at $20 for the set of 6, you’re looking at a pretty inexpensive way to add some geeky flair to your home.

Every Star Wars Fan Needs to See This Incredible Animated Short
It's easy to be underwhelmed by fan projects these days because the bar is so high already, but every once in a while someone comes along and pushes that bar up a few rungs. Paul Johnson has done that with "TIE Fighter," an impeccably-animated short film that centers on the titular starfighters (and their pilots) in an epic dogfight on the scale of the Battle of Endor. Though Johnson has released snippets of it over the last four years(!), this is the first time we've been able to see the whole thing. All of it, from the music to the editing to the swirling clouds of missile smoke, evokes classic 80s anime -- and yet it's still all unmistakably Star Wars.
I don't have any jokes or jabs or anything cynical at all to say about this. It's genuinely impressive and obviously done by someone with real passion and true talent. All I want now is about 83 more minutes of this for a full feature film.
But for now, at least we have the rad movie poster.

Fish Tea Bags: Truly Fish Out Of Water
Gold fish swimming in the tea that you’re about to drink? Sounds pretty nasty, but these fishy tea bags will make most people wonder why you’re sipping that tea so calmly while a goldfish swims leisurely in your cup…
The company behind these creative tea bags is Taiwan-based Charm Villa. The tea bags look like typical tea bags when they’re out of the water, but submerge it in hot water and watch it transform into the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen in a cup. Beauty in tea bags? Now that’s not something you see or hear about everyday.

This Borg Cube Fridge Is All The Refrigeration A Trekkie Needs
“The first officially publicized Federation contact with a Borg cube took place in 2365, when the USS Enterprise-D encountered a single cube in System J-25.” This much we know thanks to Google and the first wiki we came across, but we’ll confess to not being familiar with Borg cubes. Seeing as it does look rather cool though, we decided to tell the Trekkies in our audience that they can get a tiny one that doubles as not only a fridge, but also a food warmer. Measuring only 11.5″ on each side, this cube won’t hold a ton of food, and we don’t even really know how it keeps food warm… but we suppose a cramped dorm room might be appropriate for something like this. It does glow green behind the Borg coating, as well as inside. The door does lock to prevent spillage, while the rubber feet prevent it from sliding around. It’s… as good as things are going to get for a mini Borg cube fridge we suppose, and we’re glad Thinkgeek is only asking $150 for it.

This Giant Hamster Wheel Is Made For Cats
This is an exercise wheel for cats, and it’s called One Fast Cat. It’s $200. Like any moderately expensive things you buy for your cats, they’re going to sniff it twice and go sit in an empty cardboard box instead. So you might want to think twice before you jump aboard. The cat in the video is actually a Bengal cat, who are somewhat more wild versions of cats and tend to want to exercise considerably more than a regular house cat.
Some features to note are that it’s made from recycled plastics and its “surface is made from a closed cell EVA foam to prevent claws from catching and allowing cats to run naturally using their claws for safe footing.” It’s easy to wash and comes in a small box for you to assemble at home. The Kickstarter is fully funded, so that pledge should net you a giant paperweight feline exercise wheel by September of this year.

Custom Super Mario Drum Set is Awesome
This Super Mario Brothers-themed drum set was made by Josh Fry and it’s all kinds of awesome. It features everyone’s favorite characters from the Mario franchise, including Mario himself, Luigi, the Princess, and even the Toad. I also see the Fire Flower power up and several question mark blocks that are just ripe for the hitting.

World’s First Stereogram Music Video
You ever try to see the 3D images on those “Magic Eye Puzzle” books that were popular in the 90′s? Half the kids could see them, the other half would flail around in fits of rage for not being able to see anything… Remember that? Anyway, here’s a video from a band called Young Rival that’s shot entirely like that. If you manage to cross your eyes just right, you’ll be treated to a moving stereogram, which really is sort of trippy. If you can’t manage to cross your eyes right, you’re going to want to punch your monitor. There’s a cross-eye and a parallel-eye version of the video, so we’re including both, in case one is easier than the other to see.
